Sad to see that Henri's food and service has gone down. Long wait just to be seated and even longer wait for the food. Had to repeatedly ask for more coffee when the waitress never once asked if we wanted a refill. When my the 8 oz. NY steak I ordered finally arrived, it was raw and undercooked. The breakfast here is good. Always packed on a weekend, but that's normal. Haven't seen Ma&cheese on the menu in the last 2 years. Why isn't Mac&cheese on the menu? If the menu has sides like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables then wouldn't it make sense to add the most American side in the history of all side items. I can't stress this enough. Also, the meatloaf is not meatloaf but rather a Salisbury steak w/ gravy. Meatloaf is made with ground beef, egg, onion, and bread crumbs. C'mon now. There should also be more soup selections like cream of broccoli or clam chowder, not just vegetable. I've also witnessed one of the cooks throw a dirty order slip on top of a plate of food during a breakfast rush. Really? That seems unsanitary to me. Do better. read more

One of the best steak chili and cheese omelettes i have ever had. Potatoes very buttery but could be crisper. Still a strong 8 on the experience. The staff was very friendly and smiling. Coffee was full bodied and very fresh. Need to add a couple more meals to this. The chicken fried steak was awesome and the steak burger with chili with potatoes and eggs were amazing. This place is amazing!! They've got this Delicious honey coated fried chicken. It's truly a gift from the gods- especially when paired with a Belgian waffle. It's simply the best thing I've eaten in a very long time. I loved the decorations of the restaurant. It feels like grandmas house and has all the feeling of being home. Don't think twice about coming here, just come and order chicken and waffles. It's not a labeled plate on the menu but you can order them a la carte and have a delicious meal. I look forward to when I can come back here. The service was fast, friendly and the food was well worth the drive. This is a typical dinner style restaurant. The food was good but I have had better. I had the corn beef and hash with over easy eggs. The hash was slightly over cooked but not worth sending it back. My daughter's french toast was pretty good. Not dry and not overly battered. I would considered this place a few steps above a Denny's or IHOP but not yet at the level of those really great breakfast places we all seek. The building is really old and it looks it. It could use a little spoofing up here and there. The restaurant is located at the corner of a five point intersection so you have really know where you are going or you will be making a few u-turns once you pass it. Parking is limited and not the best but since we went when it was not too busy, we were fine. I'd say go here if your in the area and give it a try but if you are looking for a really great breakfast joint, there are better. read more

Located at 5 points... this place used to be called Kozy Kitchen back in the days. I used to go there more often. It's your typical diner food, with the diner service and feel to it. Food here is average... it's not great, it's not bad, it's what you'd expect at a diner (in the midwest). read more

Went there for lunch midday on Thursday and place was empty, not a good sign. We got seated immediately and ordered drinks, then our waitress disappeared for a good 10 min, another guy who I assume was a cashier then took our order as he saw we'd been there for what seemed like an eternity. I came over to Henri's while my car was being detailed and what a pleasant surprise! Everything was really delicious (the homemade salsa is fantastic). I appreciated that everything was served very hot. I hate getting a plate of eggs that are cooling off. I had a cheese omelette, potatoes (with salsa on top) and toast - and ate every bit. The decaf was good too. Service was timely but not rushed and the server was very pleasant. I will go back to try the rest of the menu. read more

Tried this place for the first time for a couple of reasons. 1. The reviews on Yelp seemed like it's a hit and 2. I'm on a mission to find which spot in the county has the best chicken & waffles. I wanted to give this place 5 stars because the food was fantastic, but a few things just weren't right. We got there and it was crowded. After putting our name on the list we asked for a menu and the lady in the front said "ok" then walked away. WTF right. Five minutes later we finally got a table. I put my phone down in the corner of the table, picked it up a few seconds later and noticed that it was all sticky. So i looked at the area where all the condiments were and noticed it was filthy. So of course I was turned off immediately. There were a couple of guys sitting across from us who got there over 10 mins after us and yet they still got their food before us. It was really difficult to flag a person down to get anything. We never got any refills on our drinks. They can't even use the excuse that they're busy because there are places like BGs Cafe and Cafe Amri where despite it being super busy still manage to provide excellent service. So basically, good food, but shitty service and the place needs a good and thorough cleaning. Not sure if I'll ever come back. read more

Took my family out to breakfast on Sunday..We finally flagged down the girl behind the counter and asked her did we have a waitress, as nobody had came over to ask us for anything... we wondered if our table on the far left of the restaurant was a bad table in general, because we had the worse service! Almost felt like our waitress was afraid of us! Definitely an old school diner and its always packed on the weekends for breakfast. My husband and I have been here a couple of times and its been very good both times. Yesterday he ordered the 'Special #2' which comes with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 sausage. Basic breakfast and he had no complaints. I ordered the omelet special which was written on the board. It had bacon, spinach, mushrooms and jack cheese. I skipped the potatoes (even though I love hash browns) and opted for cottage cheese instead. The omelet was nothing to look at but it was delicious. I loved it. Total with coffee and an iced tea came to $21. That is very reasonable. It's good, the prices are right, and it's so close to our house that I am sure we will be back. read more
