    Belgian waffle and eggs

Was waiting to get my car done and they recommended this place. Great service they keep your coffee refilled! My son loved his steak and eggs snd biscuits. They have a bunch of great specials and they let you substitute the bacon for turkey bacon at no extra charge! My Belgian waffles were great. The eggs come from happy local farm raised chickens and you can taste the difference! Generous portions! We will be back to try something new.

This is one of the most consistent things in my life--Henri's. I frequent this place on the weekends, and even at their busiest, they do a great job serving, making sure your coffee cup is filled, and are so friendly. I always get a big smile and hug from my favorite server. I get the pancakes eggs and bacon and I haven't found a place that has as fluffy and flavorful pancakes. Nice portion and good syrup too. I love a diner style breakfast joint that keeps it simple but quality.

Awaiting car repairs...I decided to dine at a local mom and pops cafe down the street. Henri's Cafe was the name of the local diner. My daughter and I wasn't escorted to the table. The lady greeted us near the entry door and told us just take a seat wherever. We sat in a booth and I notice the place wasn't the cleanest. I ordered a 6 piece chicken wings as appetizer and grilled salmon salad as the entree. My daughter had cheese quesadillas along with French fries. The service sucked and could be a lot better. The taste of the food was not enough to patronize this business again. This place needs strong leadership and a little love and care and could actually have the potential of being a great diner due to its location.

Very clean restaurant and I enjoy watching all the cars and people of the five points. One of my favorite go to breakfast spots

    Clam chowder - fridays only

First time coming and can't say the food was superb, but can't say they were bad either for a cafe. At a busy intersection, getting to the lot itself will take some patience as the lights take a while. There is a small parking lot on site. Upon arriving, we were told to sit anywhere along this side of the wall. Once seated, we were asked for drinks and they came promptly. We ordered their specialty dishes - meatloaf with clam chowder (added) and the wife did country fried steak. Appearances, the food is decent looking. The winning visual I thought were the plates. There is just something about eating on nice heavy plates at a diner that is appealing to the experience. For the meatloaf, I quite enjoyed it. Strong meaty flavor with diced celery and carrot pieces inside. The carrots and celery could have been diced more finely for better visuals, but it was fine as is. The mashed potato and steamed veggies were average. Not much taste to the veggies and the potatoes were on the dense side of things. The gravy was a bit salty, but it wasn't too bad as the potato and veggies were on the blander side. For the country fried steak, I'm told it was okay. The batter is a bit different and the chicken inside reminded her of chicken patty instead of a chicken steak. For the clam chowder, it wasn't bad. Had decent quantity of ingredients and a nice creamy texture and taste to it. The garlic bread that came were spicy. I'm not sure if that is intended, but we think cayenne was sprinkled on top instead of garlic powder. All in all. The food is pretty average. Even though I liked the meatloaf, everything else was mediocre at best. It is what a diner gives for quality and quantity, but they aren't terrible at least. Nice to have once in a while to change the pace/taste buds perhaps. Worth a try to formulate your own opinions.

This will be our new brunch spot. The food is a bit better than the other breakfast places here in Oxnard. Also, this is a homegrown business which will definitely get my support. Service is good even during rush hour. I can't wait to try the rest of the dishes.

Great place, food was delicious, wonderful service and great prices. Breakfast is served all day. They have plenty of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a great kids menu. We will definitely be back.

This place is always crowded for a reason....fantastic food for a fair price. They keep hitting the mark time after time.

And let me tell you, when you're heading to an island for kayaking and hiking, securing food starts to feel less like lunch planning and more like wilderness survival strategy. The online ordering process, though, gave my husband a minor technological character-building experience. Not especially intuitive or user friendly. Then, on the morning of the trip, we weren't entirely sure where the lunches would actually appear. Tiny scavenger hunt energy. Thankfully, they were waiting for us at the ferry office, and we both immediately took the same relieved breath: "Excellent. We shall not perish on the island." The sandwiches themselves were genuinely delicious. I had the Caprese, my husband had the turkey baguette, and both were fresh, flavorful, and substantial enough to fuel actual adventure instead of just delaying hunger by 20 minutes. Each lunch box also came with chips, Fuji water, and a chocolate chip cookie that quietly stole the show. Soft, delicious, and exactly the kind of reward you want after hauling yourself around an island pretending you're far more athletic than you really are. By the time lunch was over, I was happy, full, and fully prepared for the next round of kayaking and hiking. Which is really the highest compliment an adventure lunch can get.

I ordered some corned beef to be scrambled into my eggs which was tasty but $32? No way! I was not expecting that! And I honestly don't think it was worth it because half the meat was so fatty I couldn't even eat it. Yes HALF! Had it been lean corned beef all the way through? Then I wouldn't even bother mentioning it. Our server, bless her heart explained that the breakdown was $22 for the corned beef and $10 (I think) for the 3 eggs again the portion of meat I got was not worth $22. Owner/management? We had a great Valentine's Day brunch at Hollywood Beach Cafe!…read more We joined the Yelp waitlist while walking over from our hotel and ended up waiting only about 25 minutes for a table around 10am, honestly impressive for Valentine's Day. The process was super easy and made the wait feel seamless. We were seated on the "outdoor" patio, which was absolutely delightful. It's covered, so it feels like you're inside, but it's still open-air and pup friendly, which we loved. They even have a pup menu and bring out little metal water bowls. Our doggo was living his best life. The menu is large with tons of options. We initially tried using the QR code (which is great because it includes photos), but ultimately asked for a paper menu, sometimes it's just easier to flip through. My husband ordered The California (eggs, bacon, and pancakes). This breakfast also comes with toast and your choice of potatoes. We upgraded to the chili cheese tots, thinking it was just a small upcharge from the standard side, and didn't realize until we got back to the hotel that we were charged $8 for them, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the tots were tasty (just eat them quickly because they cool off fast!). His eggs were cooked perfectly, but the $3.50 upcharge to add blueberries to the pancakes felt steep, and the bacon was mostly fat and a bit overcooked. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with poached eggs, and the eggs were absolutely perfect. The dish was bursting with flavor. My only critique was that the beans were a bit too liquid-heavy, which made the tortilla very soggy, I couldn't finish as much as I would've liked because of that. The Bloody Marys, though? So good. Highly recommend! We both loved them. Our server was pleasant and friendly. Oh and there was a Char Man hot sauce on the table that was EPIC! Overall, we would definitely come back, we'd just try a few different menu items next time... except for the Bloody Marys. Those are a repeat order for sure.
