Yum. Yum. Yum. The menu was too large. Too many wonderful items to chose from. Everything we ordered was good however the food took forever. I'm not sure I ever waited that long ever! The New England clam chowder could have been creamier and thicker but everything else was great. The lobster ravioli was off the charts delicious!

This place is never consistent but the last time was great. We had great service. The food was also amazing. The happy hour Menu is fantastic with so many great options. The meatballs and eggplant are amazing. Was very quiet inside needs more action.

Burger wasn't bad but not the best burger ever or anything like that. My mom loved her steak and talked about it for a week so there's that too lol. Nice place and service wasn't bad though our waiter did disappear at the end. :P

I'd lean closer to 3.5 stars for this place. We came in Sunday at 6:00 and sat at the bar. Service was okay, could have been more attentive but it was a little crowded. There was also someone performing old school Sinatra type music in the back so the crowd was definitely on the older side. You can hear all the music at the bar. We got a Margherita Pie, Tomato Pie, Steamed Pork Dumplings & Sushi. The pizzas were very good, one with tomato sauce the other no sauce. The dumplings were good also but $11 for 5 small dumplings is crazy. I personally opted for pizza over the sushi before ordering because it looked really skimpy/pathetic on someone else's plate. It came out the same for someone in our party and she said it was "okay." Stick to the pizza and maybe the entrees, some of those looked good.

I will defently be back just waiting for my lava cake. What a wonderful waitress and she know the menu. She really is a great waitress with a very pleasant personality

Nice time in the Heights after Labor Day. Haven't been here in a decade. Some things don't change much, and Hemingways is the same. Very noisy, older crowd, high priced drinks. Our server, though very nice, was hard to find. I actually went and sought her out. Explanation? Serving six tables. Hmmm. DJ was on and then intro-ed the live act, Jukebox Legends. A retro oldies group. The girl in this all male group was the the focus though it seemed that the guys didn't let her shine. Since it was an older crowd, music was from the 60s and 70s with a few 50s throwbacks. Food was decent, but who really cares what I ate. If you're under 40, it may not be for you. If you go, expect top 40 vinyl.

We ordered the crab cake sliders , the lobster roll , and the shrimp cocktail . I also got a Heineken 0.0. Overall the meal was really good. We loved the bar atmosphere and being able to watch baseball while we ate. I enjoyed that there were also arcade games and things to do. My only reason for giving it 4 stars and not 5 was because of the lobster roll. The lobster meat itself was a little tough and the roll was a little soggy and not toasted up like we hoped for. But it was still okay. The sliders were delicious! And the shrimp were also pretty tasty. Service was phenomenal and we were seated right away. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop back in!

You're better off leaving because the lady will get snotty with you for being asking further questions about it. Left because of how we were treated, not because we couldn't be served. Edit: in response to the business owner, the reasoning she gave us was the color of the ID. If it were because of the DOB and she had expressed that, we would've gone to the car for our passports. Props to her for doing her job I guess?? So glad you support your rude employees!

It was not busy when we arrived, maybe 2-3 other tables. There seemed to be only one server who seemed to be hustling, but the wild part was the bartender. We all placed our drink orders and about 20 mins went by without any water or drinks. Meanwhile, the bartender was chatting to what seemed to be his friends stopping in. He was drinking a Truly can and dropped multiple glasses, so spent his time walking up and down the bar doing absolutely nothing. Eventually a margarita and warm blue moon were delivered, but we didn't order a margarita and still - no drinks for the rest of the party. Food was sub par and the whole experience was candidly miserable. I don't think I am even doing it justice as I can't relive it.

We decided to check it out and we are so happy we did! Jersey Roll is a bar and grill that was formerly Aztec Bar, and they allow leashed and friendly dogs inside and outside. The inside has bar seating and standard tables and the small outdoor deck provides views of the ferris wheel, amusements, and the bustling boardwalk. They are famous for their pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches and offer other breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, fat sandwiches, other delicious items, and a full bar is available to get your favorite drink. The staff is extremely friendly and we enjoyed talking to the manager, Rachel. She makes a mean cocktail. On the corner of the Boardwalk and Sherman Ave., it is easily located so you do not have to walk on the boardwalk for too long. Check their social media for current local summer hours.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more My friends stopped by here to grab a quick, easy dinner after laying out on the beach. We were all craving different things, so Ace's seemed like an okay choice. It had a wide variety of items on their menu. My friend and I decided to split an order of fish & chips and an order of buffalo wings with onion rings. We initially ordered everything together and asked to split it two ways, but the waitress didn't really understand us, so we each ordered an entree and a soda. There was maybe a $0.50 difference between the the fish & chips and the wings & onion rings, but my order came out to be significantly more, so I asked the waitress why. She thought we had ordered 2 orders of buffalo wings and onion rings, but I clarified what we wanted. She started getting angry and said that we had never mentioned the fish and chips, but that was literally the first thing I ordered. She rolled her eyes and yelled at the cooks to change the order and asked my friend for $0.20 more because she had undercharged. The waitress seemed to not understand a single word of English. We asked for additional plates and hot sauce, but after each of these simple requests, she would give us a dirty look as if we were speaking Pig Latin. While we were eating, another customer also had similar issues with ordering and getting overcharged. It's not like we're asking for anything complex here -- the items are straight off the menu, and adding the prices is basic arithmetic! Food was terrible: all tasted like it was taken from the freezer and then deep fried for way too long. I also saw that they left their sausages out in the open all day (where it is sunny and warm) ... sounds like a recipe for some foodborne illnesses.
