We walked around downtown Oslo looking for something to eat. We were hoping for traditional Norwegian food since we were visiting from the United States. Margherita Pizza with mushrooms and 2 Aass Fatøl lager brewskies from Aass Bryggeri (Aass Brewery) on tap. Aass is a funny name and David Letterman made a joke about it few years back. Aass is a family name and an archaic spelling of ås, which means low hill. Pizza suitable for 1 person, or 2 if a snack/appetizer. I asked for Red Pepper flakes...none could be found, so I was offered black pepper. $40 USD including built-in service fee and the 25% Norwegian VAT. Favorite pizza place in O-town? Hell's Kitchen! It's simple. Eat some juicy, yet crispy pizza. My favorites are the seafood pizzas, and the Hell's Kitchen special. It's loaded with flavor, and with the extra chili oil, it's a little food explosion in your mouth. What differs Hell's Kitchen from the other pizzerias around, it's the cocktail-part. They do excellent cocktails, and also have their own signatures. My personal favorite is Hell's Ale (Bourbon, lemon, ginger ale) - and I'm excited to try the rest as well! A centrally located small restaurant not far from the touristy spots in central Oslo. The seating looks like a American diner and decorated for bikers and heavy metal fans. Great thin crust pizzas with unique and flavoursome ingredients. We ordered the vegetarian pizza with rocket and a prawn pizza with artichokes. Both were delicious with thin crust. Service was prompt. The cocktails were same price as other alcoholic beverages, but we all know drinking in Oslo is an expensive gamble. We ordered Berry G&T and shot of Aquavit (which was same price as the cocktails). read more

Pricey pizza in a pricey city. My only Complaint is that it was a tad bit too greesy from the cheese perhaps. I asked for some grated cheese on the side and out came a bowl with huge slices of freshly grated Parmesan cheese! What a treat! read more

One of my favorite places in Oslo no doubt!!! I have been coming here for years although I have never actually learned the name of the place and always referred to it as "that great place on the corner by Youngstorget"! I still haven't ordered any food of their menu but now that I have learned the name of the place it is on the top of my todo list! As for their drinks I absolutely love their selection. They specialize is sour drinks with a twist but they have a great selection of alcohols and can mix you most the regulars as well. This place gets pretty full on the weekends so a table might be hard to get. However it normally calms down after dinner and picks up again right around midnight! The staff at Hells Kitchen are super friendly and always polite. All I can say is that I HIGHLY recommend it! And I will be back for some pizza!! read more

I like to come here. The food is pretty good, but I'm mostly fan because of the atmosphere. Was here on a sunday evening a while back and it was a very pleasant experience. So between giving 3 and 4 stars to this one cause there were many things I liked but I guess the food was not as good as other pizza places I have been so thought it would be unfair to give 4 stars. Anyway! Here is what I liked: The atmosphere. Really nice old style interior with yellowish glass lamps hanging over each table. Cool jazzy music on the background and helpful and extra friendly staff. The place is quite popular and have had it on my bucket list for a long time. Just above youngstorget so in a perfect location for food before drinks or just food while being in the city. The food itself was ok good. Nothing really to complain about, but it just didn't wow me as other pizza places have. The dough was very thin and quite tasty which I liked. I guess the toppings were the ones that slightly disappointed. But for sure a place I would go again! read more

Centrally located in Oslo with a cool vibe and interesting selection of top shelf liquor. Good selection of beers to go with the main item on their menu which is pizza. The alcohol is very pricy even for Norway standards, which is a shame because it would otherwise seem like a cool place to hang out in for a while with a group of friends after work or if just visiting. Service is good and fast which is not common in Oslo so that's a plus. read more

Love, love, love Hells Kitchen. One of my favorite places in the city and I love bringing people here. The pizza is so incredibly tasty and I love the sauce that sits on every table, I'm not even sure what it is but it is so good on pizza.
