3.5 stars! Came here with a big group and we managed to reserve a table for 28 (!)! In order for them to get out all the food on time they asked us to order from their 4 burger options (with a couple exceptions). That's exactly what we did and they did manage to serve us all without messing it up. Service overall friendly, place cozy and the food good enough. I don't know the laws on this in Norway, but if this place had a happy hour - I would be here every night. Colonel Mustard, named after the one who did it in the kitchen (kinky), is a cool little restaurant and bar near Alexander Kiellands plass bus stop. When you walk inside, you feel like you are among friends. The walls and the chairs give off a warm feeling, and the clientele is very relaxed. One confusing thing is that there is a variety of seating styles for such a small space - bar stools, bar tables, tables with booths, tables with chairs, tables with couches, long lunch tables, and so on. My friend asked me where I wanted us to sit, and I was overwhelmed by the choices. Service was quick and attentive without being obtrusive. My friend and I ordered the burgers, but I am still not used to the Oslo concept of throwing a ton of toppings on a burger and then eating it with a knife and fork. The server was patient with my need to first translate the toppings one by one, and then eliminate the ones I didn't want. The final product was juicy and tasty. Oh, and this place isn't a beer garden, but it had more than two taps - which was awesome. I haven't had Guinness on tap in over a month, it was heavenly. There are four other non-canoe sex draft options as well. Prices are in the range that you would see in other similar places. If you like board games, there are tons of them around and people seemed to be playing happily. This is also a great place for good conversation and hanging out. read more

I absolutely love this place. The menu is affordable (for Noway) as well as their food being good. I don't really drink, however they apparently have great beer as well. It is cozy (koselig), and the perfect place to even just hang out. They have a TON of board games that you can play with your friends, and that are a great ice-breaker. I mean, who doesn't love board games, am I right? ....or maybe it's just me and my inner child. Anyways, this is a place that's worth checking out!! Be warned though, it can get very busy and loud there, so for first-timers I recommend not going on Fridays/Saturdays. read more

Happy to have a decent place close to home. The food is somewhere between ok and sometimes pretty bad (have had 2-3 pretty poor meals here, ex raw sausages). I would say a bit pricey considering the quality. The atmosphere is good, like the decoration. Decent beer selection too. Drinking and board games is the main reason to go there. During summer they have a large outdoor seating which is great. The low down is the staff. Most of the time they look annoyed. Last time I was there someone had broken a glass on the floor. I let the staff know twice before they bothered to clean it up. And they did so badly too. Bathroom looked a mess. Told the staff, but they never entered the bathroom. Really a shame, as it could have gotten an extra star for good service. read more

The place in it self is pretty cool and they have good beer + food. The service on the other hand is so crap. I ve been there multiple times this summer and I always regret giving them tips. Maybe it s just the summer help that is bad at it service, but still. read more

Super, cozy atmosphere - dark and inviting, with lots of comfy seating. There were quite a few full tables when we were in, which surprised me on a Sunday night. Lots of groups taking advantage of the board games, which was also a nice surprise. Food was pretty good too - we had a nice, cozy evening and would definitely come back. read more

I was there on a Sunday. They were a bit more busy than usual. We waited 20 minutes at a table before going up to order a drink and some food. When we went up to the bar we we're immediately asked to "hurry the f**ck up and order" I tried to order a pizza and we were again yelled at. They finally did process the order, but weren't able to order anything else. Nor was anyone else in the bar or seemed. I thought this place was like Ed Devevicks. I was shocked to hear they were actually being serious. Great food, but wow the service was the worst I have ever experienced! read more

I live in the area, however this is not one of my favorite places to go. Recently the staff has been slightly rude and lazy. I ask for a simple thing and the bartender just ignores me. Who's in charge of the staff? You should train your staff better. read more

Hands down one of the best outdoor serving spots in Oslo, with sun more or less the whole day and plenty of tables outside. Has quickly become one of the hot spots in the area, with a great selection of beer and reasonably priced, tasty food. Inside area also cozy and nice, and they offer a wide selection of board games which is a nice and social touch. All in all, highly recommended! read more

Though slightly intimidating with its dark and moody atmosphere, this restaurant is still often filled in the late hours with young diverse adults drinking beer and playing board games. It's a great place to chill out and relax. Food is a decent fare and there is an extensive drink list. However, service is a tad slow and the restaurant advertised drinks they didn't even have to serve to us. Will return in the future. read more

What a fun bar! A nice selection of beers/drinks and you can play board games all night long! The bar is spacious; theres plenty of space for everyone. A lot of the waitstaff seemed to be from other countries, which made way for some nice conversation. Would come back! read more
