David definitely knew what he was doing. The installation was perfect - exactly 4 inches off the mantle and centered. However, his attitude can be seen as a big issue. The moment he stepped through our door, he was aggressive in letting us know that it's a fireplace installation and not a regular installation (despite my note on my booking letting the tech know that we're unsure and that we'd let him decide what's best.) Of course, we tried to be as accommodating as possible: asking him if he needed a drink, helping him carry even though we said we can't really do that, etc. Overall, great tech technically speaking but attitude can be improved greatly. read more

I had two terrible experiences, I should have learned after the first time. I live in a large house and after Xfinity set up the wifi (that's another review), the service didn't cover a huge part of the upstairs. I decided to hire a specialist to set up extenders. The first tech moved the equipment, but was in such a hurry he left without ensuring things worked properly. I complained only to get the runaround and eventual ghosting. I clearly didn't learn, but with the Internet totally down now, I couldn't wait and hired HelloTech again, thinking they couldn't mess things up twice. Well, guess what? The second tech had zero clue about what he was doing. I knew more. He argued with me, ignored what was wrong and just wanted me to get Xfinity on the phone. Well, I could have called Xfinity for free. In the end he left, I didn't discourage that, with nothing resolved. I have now had to wait a week for Xfinity to come back. The tech was a waste of money if I just needed the camera installed on top of the garage I wouldve paid someone $20 to do that I asked for my pad to be placed on the wall but he took the easiest way to install it which was to stand on my countertop. He didn't follow any manufacturer instructions when it came to hooking it up to electrical or installing it on the wall. The manufacturer said on their website that I would need a transformer so I included it in my order. The tech did not install one but I still got charged for it.
