Worst tech experience all around. Apparently this was the first time the tech installed this brand of doorbell camera. He didn't follow any manufacturer instructions when it came to hooking it up to electrical or installing it on the wall. The manufacturer said on their website that I would need a transformer so I included it in my order. The tech did not install one but I still got charged for it. I have been calling for 3 weeks now trying to get a refund. Turns out that I do need a transformer so I had to go buy one and install it myself. Hello Tech installed a ring camera for us. The camera was water damaged within months, and we were sent another camera by ring to replace it. We learned from the technician who we chose through another company that the reason the camera was water damaged is because the Hello Tech technician had opened the top of the camera which caused water to get in. The Hello Tech technician also used tape instead of screws to mount the camera, also causing water damage, and hadn't even removed the film from the front of the camera. When we called Hello Tech, they said that it had been 4 months, and that was outside their warranty period. Do not use this company's services. read more

I AM SO ANGRY WITH THIS COMPANY RIGHT NOW! And you wanted me to join your customer program???? Fat chance of that! When I spoke to the representative to set up this appointment I specifically told her that it is an 86"TV to be mounted and it absolutely has to have TWO PEOPLE TO INSTALL as it is so big and so heavy. I was assured that it would not be a problem and it can and will be done. Set the appointment. Next day it had to be rescheduled.....ok fine. Here comes my tech Nicholas who was very nice and accommodating, however he is ALONE and traveled 1.5 hours to get here. He has no body to help him and he said he had no idea it was an 86" TV or he would have brought somebody. Obviously communication does not work well with your company. Nicholas is going ahead with the installation, however, my husband is going to have to help him lift it which is exactly what I did not want to happen. I paid a pretty penny for this installation and now my husband has to help. Ridiculous. Again, Nicholas is a great guy, nothing about him, he is just trying to do his job, his company however is all about the mighty dollar and nothing about customer service. Would not recommend smart thermostat install. It didn't work I reached back to request a refund but it has to go through tier 2 still waiting. I ended up having to call a REAL HVAC professional. The issue was they didn't confirm the unit was a conventional or heat pump install. read more

Tedious app , I hit the Apple TV install button and support only to be called by a less than techy tech to try and explain to him what I already told the app I needed done after 8 attempts to try and explain to him that an Apple TV is a device and not a TV I choose to cancel and I then asked my Great Pyrenees dog to do it and he understood the task in hand on first pass but he explained he doesn't have thumbs so he can't help . Don't waste your time With this App I'm Assuming it's a tech start up with too much money and doesn't know how to actually vet the techs they use that are gonna to interface with the end user ..... After three visits to attempt to replace our now-discontinued Logitech universal remote, three visits costing in total over $300, plus $200 for purchase of the nearly useless SofaBaton X1S, we cannot say much to praise HelloTech. HelloTech is an interesting business model--kind of like Uber, but for tech help--but it doesn't hold together well. We have gotten contradictory advice from the techs who have come to talk to us about universal remotes. We have finally given up and decided it is easier to use the Apple TV remote for most functions, and to use our old Logitech unit to control the Blue Ray to watch DVDs.
