Noticed this Restaurant when I pulled in to the Walmart Shopping Center. West side of Harlem Avenue. Very catchy sign. Nice logo and well designed restaurant. Nice seating area outside. Both Thai & Shawarma Share a dinning hall, so it's very busy. It's congested to get in, as the order counter is in the back of the store. If I could make very helpful suggestion, they need to somehow have an "order only" counter and "pick up" separate. Not the best design on that part. Love the open concept to watch the Chefs prep the food. Very clean place. They seemed to be enjoying their lives in the kitchen and I love to see that. The wait was pretty long, many customers. I did order the pickle bar take away , $2.99 , definitely must try. Mansaf bowl with lamb. I'm not sure if it's a Lebanese interpretation or another culture, It's not what I'm use to. It didn't have the bread soaked or any bread at all, at the bottom and the yogurt sauce was lacking flavor. I'm super picky about Mansaf , my Khalto made the best Palestinian Style/Jordanian Mansaf. For a take away Quick Serve restaurant, it does taste pretty good. Was a large meal for $25. Their packaging and take away bags are fantastic, they need additional credit for that in itself. Was a pleasant visit. Ty. Busy area. Must try Selma's Sweets across street when you are done; South. They are amazing also.

i've only been to the Bridgeview location. The place is bright yellow which gives it a nice family friendly feel. The service is fast and friendly, it's pretty casual. I got mine to go, the menu can be overwhelming but the wraps are really popular. I was apprehensive about the price for just the wrap being $12.99 but as you can see, the quantity is huge and it's well worth it. As for the shawarma, the wrap itself was kind of dry which means they didn't use a lot of oil (if any) to toast it. Which is fine but unfortunately i found the inside to be dry too. There is plenty of meat and veggies in the wrap, but the tahini based sauce gives it a dry feel that ends up muting out the big flavors. It is good and definitely leans more on the healthy side, but I haven't craved it since then. Overall not a bad option if you're really hungry and just want a solid wrap!

With so many shawarma spots in the area, it's hard to pick the best, they truly are pretty good, but I will say that Hello Shawarma has the advantage because of the beshka sandwich. It's like the Arab version of a Philly sandwich. I'm not Jordanian/Palestinian so this sandwich is a totally new concept for me and we are in love with it. I also love their pickle station. Those peppers and the cauliflowers are my favorite pickles and to have access to all that is a dream. Sometimes I just stop by for the pickles. Then of course, the bowls are delicious as well. Seating is always ample and service is always great. Overall, it's a must stop on your shawarma journey.

Interesting a delicious shawarma! I didn't really understand the concept until I looked around but you order what you want in a kiosk and your food is brought out to you, or handed to you if you're taking it to go. I ordered the Shawarma Saj, and tbh I should've ordered it in a stuffed pita because it comes with more pickles and such. To make up for it, I ordered a side of pickles where I can fully my own container and it was delicious! The sandwich was filling and full of flavor. The fries are also well seasoned and delicious. Friendly staff and clean. Really enjoyed coming here and will do so!

Definitely worth the short trip out of the city. That lamb shawarma is going to bring me back. And the pickles? As tasty as they are pretty!

    Chicken Shawarma Wrap

Amazing shawarma! This is the best shawarma available in the area. Chicken is juicy, fries are seasoned (I don't know what seasoning they use but it's great, never tasted anything like it), and all the sauces take it to the next level. Service is great, I wish there was more seating. Try this place out!

Falafel Rice Bowl and Steak Rice Bowl

The service and food here is amazing! Every time I come it's a 10/10 experience. The staff is extremely attentive and kind. I am a vegetarian and the falafel options here hit the spot. The most recent time I went I got a falafel rice bowl, and my friend got the steak rice bowl. We both loved everything and the portions were large enough to make two meals out of. We also shared an order of fries and they were seasoned so well! All around a really great meal and I will continue coming back to this spot :)

I only heard good things about this spot and had to try it. My shawarma cravings were tingling. Not only was the flavor of the beef and chicken rich - but it was so hearty and fulfilling and fluffy. Not to mention the vibe is pretty cool and fun and the owner is extremely generous and welcoming. He offered a free yogurt drink that they also sell. Please come try some of the best shawarma I've ever had!

I called them because I wasn't sure if the online version would be too slow. We were a group of three that came in Saturday night at 7 pm. It was moderately busy. The staff were all welcoming with smiles on their faces and attentiveness. Prices were fair for the amount of food you receive. Food portions are colossal so I would recommend one appetizer and one entree if you are a couple. They give you a complimentary dish. We ordered arayes with meat, meat toshka, mixed grill with baba ghanouj, fillet of basa fried, and mint lemonade. They also offer you fresh Arabic coffee before you leave. This is about a 4.5-5. -arayes with meat 4 - this was not bad. It's like a tamer version of the meat toshka. -meat toshka 5 - I prefer this over the arayes because they add the Syrian cheese. This one was bursting with flavor the moment you took a bite out of it. The minced beef and lamb just melt in the mouth. -mixed grill 5 - this came with 3 big skewers (shish kabab, kufta kabab, and chicken tawook. It also has tomatoes and onions to help cut down the meat when digesting. There are two heaping portions of biryani and saffron rice and baba ghanouj. The baba ghanouj was creamy and flavorful. It goes well with the pita bread. The meats were cooked medium well unless you want something. I think next time I'll ask for the shish kababs to be cooked medium rare or medium for a more juicy taste. The chicken tawook and kufta were both succulent. -fillet of basa fried 5 - the two pieces of basa fillet were astronomical. It also comes with two different kinds of rice. The fish was flaky, moist, and seasoned. Make sure you add the lemon and eat it with the sauce. -mint lemonade 5 - this was very refreshing after eating a heavy meal.

The place is very busy so parking can be a bit hard to find but they do have an overflow lot. Inside, they have a seating area where you can wait until you're seated at a table. Both times I've been there the wait time was around 20-30 minutes but trust me, the food is worth the wait. Even though they were busy, our server was attentive and the food didn't take too long to come out. I went with a group and for our appetizer we tried the platter that comes with hummus, baba ganoush, grape leaves, and fresh pita bread. For my drink, I had the lemon mint smoothie...very refreshing. The plates that my husband and I got were the chicken shawarma sandwich with a salad and the filet plate that comes with rice as well as grilled tomato and grilled onion. They give you generous portions which made it possible for me to share some of my meal with someone in my group to try and I still had leftovers. Finally, we could not leave without having dessert. We had knafeh which is made fresh. Everything was amazing and I can't wait to come back next time I visit the Chicagoland area.

We came on a Saturday night around 7 pm and we were able to find parking immediately. To be clear, the parking area is kind of tight and cramped. If you can't find parking here, you can try seeing if parking is available in the neighborhood or next door. Inside Al Manakeesh, they have a plentiful amount of tables. You order at the front, receive a pager, and wait for your food. They have additional drinks in the back. They are known for making Middle Eastern flatbread pizzas and kaaks (bagel). Customer service was great. They were very efficient at making the food and drinks. Everyone was nice. No one was pushy when we ordered our items. Prices were good, they were inexpensive. We ordered egg/meat/cheese, pepperoni, mixed meat bagel, sfeha with tahaina, and zaatar/akkawi cheese/cherry tomato. Honestly, everything was a 5/5. I liked that the pizzas weren't floppy and none of the ingredients slid off. The portions were huge. I also got a peach matcha. After mixing it, the peach taste was very noticeable: -The pepperoni tastes cleaner and more flavorful than the American places. For some reason, the American ones are so greasy and oily. -For the egg/meat/cheese pizza, the egg taste really stands out. -Sfeha is halal ground beef and has more flavor than regular ground beef. The tahaina helps make it pop. -The zaatar/akkawi/cherry tomato is an awesome combination. When you take that first bite, you'll immediately taste all of the ingredients. It's that prominent. -The mixed meat kaak has halal turkey, halal roast beef, halal salami, mozzarella, Mexican cheese, and their signature sauce. They give you two cups of sauces. One I think is the signature sauce and the red one is a little spicy. The portion is big enough to share between 3-4 people.

Plus the experience (service) was really good, and, we couldn't wait to come back. Unfortunately, when we returned just 4 days later (on Wednesday) it was a disaster... There was no hostess this time, just 3 gentlemen, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even came to our table with menus (we were the only clients, the restaurant was empty) they didn't greet us or say hello, and simply dropped the menus on the table and walked away, and about 10 minutes later, someone finally came back to take our order, but the biggest disappointment, though, was the food. We ordered the hummus, and it was clearly a SPOILED It had an extremely sour taste, similar to spoiled milk, It was SOOO BAD that I couldn't even eat it. We also ordered the mac and cheese bites, and they were absolutely drenched in oil The service was just as disappointing. No one ever brought us water or even asked if we'd like something to drink, not even the complimentary water that most restaurants provide. At the end of the meal, we had to walk up to the cashier ourselves to pay, and the staff was rude throughout the entire interaction. Our first visit was so wonderful, but our second experience completely changed our impression, we won't be returning.
