I want to make sure this gets posted so others don't have the unfortunate experience that I had with Concierge Aesthetics in Geneva, IL. I saw Lynn for "Coolsculpting" in my chin area. This was to be done throughout 2 treatments. Treatment 1 was relatively uneventful and performed by Lynn. The device fell off a few times most likely due to inadequate adhesion to the surface of my skin. There were also a few thermal events that can occur when the machine detects a temperature change on the skin. Lynn said to come back in a few days to retreat to this area. Little did I know that cool-sculpting should only be performed on the same area no more than once every 30 days, not 2 times in 5 days. Treatment 2 was the same except this time there was tremendous pain and pressure during the treatment and after. Lynn assured me as did the office manager that this pain was subside later on and go away. The pain did stop, but the damage was done. I was left with a permanent scar across the lower jawline that was in the shape of the device! When I showed the staff including the MD and the COO Laura they were dismissive, rude, and condescending. They tried to diminish the pain I was in and make me look foolish. I tried reaching out to management including the Chief Operating Officer, Laura but my emails and calls were ignored. I was refunded but want to warn everybody about my experience, It has been more than 6 months and the scar keeps getting darker with time. Please don't make the same mistake I did. I was severely injured and I want to prevent this from happening to someone else. Don't ever get cool-sculpting, and don't ever go to Concierge!

Luckily, he has a great social media presence, and the second he announced he was joining Santé, I immediately called to make an appointment for my hair concerns after feeling disappointed with the care and recommendations I'd received from previous dermatologists. I'm from the area, so having him be so close in Naperville compared to having to go out to Chicago was the cherry on top. I had actually never heard of Santé before, so Dr. Ibrahim completely put them on the map for me. From the very first phone call, I was greeted by the sweetest staff, and they continue to be absolute angels every time I visit. That seems to be the common theme here, everyone is so warm, friendly, and genuinely seems to love what they do. The staff, nurses, and doctors have all been wonderful. As I mentioned, my main reason for seeing Dr. Ibrahim was hair loss after he came highly recommended by another doctor I deeply trust. From the moment he walked into the room, it felt like you were talking to a friend who genuinely cares about you. He's personable, funny, incredibly educated, and clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. He prescribed me oral minoxidil (hallelujah! no more crusty hair) along with spironolactone, which were the two treatments I was really hoping to discuss. It's only been two weeks of consistently taking the medications, but I already feel hopeful. He answered every question I had and explained the scientific reasoning behind each medication and why they work well together, which made me feel even more confident knowing he's thoughtful and intentional with his treatment plans. Since I already had an appointment with one of the most talented and highly sought-after derms in the state, I also asked him to take a look at my previous lip filler work because I felt like my lips were slightly uneven and I was starting to feel crazy for noticing things other people didn't. He immediately confirmed my suspicions and was able to correct and balance everything out perfectly. Now I have the most natural-looking, yet still full lips of my dreams, and I genuinely could not be happier with the results. I love Dr. Ibrahim, I love Santé, and I'm so happy to have finally found a place I genuinely trust.

I have rosacea and I felt like I needed to take steps to correct and prevent. Miriam has been great! She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She really makes you feel at ease about everything and answered every question I could come up with. After I was done I noticed some improvements right away. Lots of the broken capillaries were gone. The redness was gone. I had a cherry angioma on my forehead that is completely gone! My skin texture was refreshed looking, smoother and more youthful. There is literally no downtime. There is no peeling or anything that would prevent you from going about your regular day. After a week, my skin looked smoother, my pores seemed smaller. After two weeks it feels like I hardly need any foundation. I can just use some concealor and go! I saw my daughter a couple weeks after and the first thing she said was that my skin looked great. I ask if there is anyone else available at the Oswego location on Monday (the day my appointment is scheduled). No response. On the day of my appointment, another text message shows up saying that no one else is available. Apparently they also only do facials in Naperville. I find all of this out on the DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT. How disappointing and unprofessional. A phone call when I booked the appointment a month ago would have the appropriate way to handle it, at the very least, a few days ago when I asked if someone else was available, but certainly not on the day of my appointment. That is unacceptable. There's no way I can get another appointment some place else today. Not to mention, I was the one who had to pick up the phone to call THEM to confirm that my appointment had, in fact, been cancelled. When I asked why I wasn't notified a month ago when I booked my appointment, all I got was a "yea, sorry". They said I could come to Naperville and made it seem like they were doing me some huge favor by allowing me to keep the same appointment time, as if I were inconveniencing them. More importantly, when filling out the necessary documents, I can across a tone -deaf question/ response options (pictured below). As a Black woman, I felt uncomfortable with the response options. For the following reasons: 1. The question lacked internal consistency and contained bias. The first few response options discussed tanning and burning in the sun. While the last option states "Black skin". Therefore, the question and response options plainly don't make sense. 2. "Black skin" can burn and tan in the sun, as other skin tones can. 3. "Black skin" can vary from fair to deep. We aren't all one shade. When I posed this question to the esthetician, in which she explained why this question was needed. She explained how deeper skin tones can't undergo the same treatment as lighter skin tones due to melanin. I understood her reasoning, however, the reasoning did not reflect the tone-deaf response options. I gave the esthetician examples of other response options that would better cater to their Black clients. When I left, the front desk employee did not say goodbye or ask how my consultation went. I would not recommend going there. The question was ignorant.

While I have only completed the first of my series of necessary treatments, I can already see results in the fading of my tattoo (thin black cursive writing), as well as noticeably diminished and slower hair growth. I was able to undergo the laser without any numbing cream or other analgesic and found it not very painful.
