This was my first time at Fusion Med Spa. I wouldn't recommend it. I went in for a consultation. I wasn't greeted with enthusiasm and the employee at the front desk also wasn't wearing a mask when I walked in. More importantly, when filling out the necessary documents, I can across a tone -deaf question/ response options (pictured below). As a Black woman, I felt uncomfortable with the response options. For the following reasons: 1. The question lacked internal consistency and contained bias. The first few response options discussed tanning and burning in the sun. While the last option states "Black skin". Therefore, the question and response options plainly don't make sense. 2. "Black skin" can burn and tan in the sun, as other skin tones can. 3. "Black skin" can vary from fair to deep. We aren't all one shade. When I posed this question to the esthetician, in which she explained why this question was needed. She explained how deeper skin tones can't undergo the same treatment as lighter skin tones due to melanin. I understood her reasoning, however, the reasoning did not reflect the tone-deaf response options. I gave the esthetician examples of other response options that would better cater to their Black clients. When I left, the front desk employee did not say goodbye or ask how my consultation went. I would not recommend going there. The question was ignorant. read more

Stephanie has been treating me for my severe cases of rosecea. I have done any and all creams,Rx, soaps, etc. Stephanie has been the only one to make a notable difference!!! She is patient, kind and so easy to work with. I was nervous when I arrived for my first treatment. I started with Angela doing my inbody test and a few months out i decided to get a consultation from Stephanie for the Laser hair removal treatment 3 areas, under arm, bikini line and face. I have done this treatment before At another med spa and I did not Get The expected results. Therefore I decided to go to fusion med spa For a consult. Because of Stephanie's knowledge, expertise And her professionalism Through explaining the process for me and give me more information about the Laser machine itself And Made sure that I have no question and I understood what the machine does the treatment and the results along the treatment I have decided to start the laser treatment with them . Stephanie is very kind, very sympathetic and understanding. I purchased 2 packages of the Emsculpt Neo. It's not cheap but that's the price you pay for trying to enhance the way you look ! My results were mediocre. I would NOT recommend the Emsculpt Neo if you have thick thighs like I do, as my results were truly not worth the money I paid. I truly wish I would have invested all that money into another cosmetic procedure or given a little guidance as to what might work better for my problem areas. There was a little difference after the first few sessions but then when I went back for the Emsculpt Neo on the back thighs, I noticed absolutely no results at all. Waste of a good amount of money paid. After completing my last session, I would have expected the office to take an "after photo" since I paid for all those sessions and I noticed other clients getting before and after photos but they failed to do that. In all the sessions I purchased, they may have taken 3 photos total. I was even promised to be "gifted" a free session of another procedure, I believe the Ultrashape or Velashape, I can't remember...but they conveniently forgot about it. Also, as soon as you're almost done with your sessions, they suddenly have a "special" going on that expires in a few days which is NOT even listed on their website under "Specials". My girlfriend paid for 2 full sessions of Emsculpt at another spa and they gave her 4 extra sessions FREE just to not lose a good paying client. Shop around, do your homework before you invest hard earned money and don't expect great results with Emsculpt unless you are already fit and looking to simply tone up. There are spas in Chicago that do Ultrashape now that give you so many free sessions when you purchase a package! I recommend looking at other places with more incentives since you're going to pay a few thousand to invest in yourself and your appearance. read more

I'm not sure of all the negative reviews. However, I can only speak to MY experience there, which is always positive. I've gotten microdermabrasion facials done by Stephanie, she's always so informative, personable, and really takes time to make sure your needs are met. I had a hydrafacial on the 7th and would never go back! It was a rushed procedure and the the esthetician performing the facial was telling me all about her dysfunctional love life! I have been twice for hydrafacial & would absolutely recommend it! The first time was a few months ago with Stephanie, I remembered that name pretty easily! I thought she was so knowledgeable & professional, so even though it seemed like a shorter facial than what I've had in the past, I wasn't concerned about it...she explained that it was about 30 minutes but because of the machine it does everything (and more) that a regular facial does. I definitely enjoyed the massage portion! My skin was AMAZING for probably 3 or 4 weeks. I recently went back but I saw another girl, Erin, & I was really impressed that the facial was pretty much identical to the last one. The manager, I believe her name is Cindy is so rude and unprofessional. I couldn't find the place because they didn't list their suite #on the groupon. This Cindy was so rude and condescending when I called to ask for their location on the strip mall. I was not even late so I couldn't understand why she spoke to me the way she did. She proceeds to educate me on what a strip mall is and how it has many stores, like I am stupid! Her tone of voice was awful too. I had to ask her if she had any problems giving me direction without making it seem like I am stupid. When I got there, she opened the door, no hi or hello. She opened the door and walked away. I later learned she was the person I was on the phone with. I was ready to just turn around and go home. I was ready to forfeit the $99 I paid knowing I would not be getting my money back. I met Erin at the counter and voiced my complain, sadly she couldn't do anything because Cindy is her manager. Cindy has zero customers service skills. If you want to be talked to and treated like you are an imbecile then feel free to try them otherwise please take your hard earned money somewhere else. Do not say I didnt warn you! Erin is nice though, it's gotta be hard working with a jerk like Cindy. read more
