This store is great. The prices are the best around and there's a ton of variety. I like that I can pop in and get groceries, some stuff for the yard and maybe a toy for the kids without having to drive all over the place. The staff are helpful and polite. Note to parents: Don at the door is super sweet and friendly and gives kids balloons and a lollipop when they come in, which really helps to keep them occupied while you shop. read more

I LOVE this HEB! Seems as though they are always having a sale on what I need. Where it be baby or food products. Everything is always fresh if not they toss it. Its never too busy I mean other than main holidays. Price is not super expensive considering the location. Its very clean and very organized. I appreciate the customer support as well. I'm always directed to the lane I should check out in. With a two yr old things can get loud and tough so its important we are timely. Will always be going here living in liberty hill. Ok also they have LOTS of parking :) never fear you will get a spot. read more

I filled my 2015 3/4 ton Chevy diesel truck up at the fuel station with diesel on October 25, 2018. When I shut it off a few minutes later it wouldn't start. It took the mechanic at AutoNation Austin 2 weeks to diagnose the problem. After pulling a fuel sample it indicated that there was regular gasoline in the diesel. Apparently the fuel supplier (Coastal) employee couldn't do his job and make sure to put the right fuel in the correct tank. So you can imagine how many diesel truck owners have been affected by this second grade education employee of Coastal. Coastal's insurance company was very difficult to get a hold of and wouldn't call me back. It has now been 44 days that my truck has been in the shop and I still don't have it back. Coastal's insurance agreed to pay for the fuel system flushing so my truck would run again but won't pay for any other expenses. I called HEB today to ask what they could do for me to make this whole situation right. Maybe a $100 grocery card to cover my expenses? The answer was nope, HEB will give you absolutely nothing because it is not our fault. I pointed out to the HEB rep that called me that when I get my credit card receipt out of the pump after filling up it clearly says HEB at the top of it. Why are they not responsible, it is their facility. One would think that HEB would at least attempt to make things right but clearly they were not interested in retaining customers. This has been a huge let-down, I thought HEB was better than this. Murphy USA will now be getting my fuel business. read more

Awesome Place - always clean, organized - never a problem with finding anything.

Being new to the area it seems my options are only HEB Plus or go out of my way to Walmart; not what I'm used too. Since there is no competition prices are on the high side. The flow is not that great; I don't understand how they lay out the aisles. Olive oil not with other oils, things just don't make sense so I spend more time searching which is brutal. Things run out of stock frequently, what the heck? Baggers are few and far between and I'm looked at like a leper for not providing my own bags. Clearly I'm not from here. Cashiers are nice, too nice as they want to spend 20 min chatting with me about where I'm from and the invasion of out of town people to Austin meanwhile my frozen food is melting. Tons of coupon options all around the store right with the product so that's nice but it's needed due to price. And 1/2 of them are buy this and get that so it's all a trick to get you to spend more. Parking sucks and it's always busy because as I said before you have no other option. I will say they've got a nice craft beer & wine section and a wine concierge who chatted with us endlessly the first visit. What's with everyone wanting your life story here? I'm getting used to that, slowly. Found it fascinating that a grocery store has a wine concierge, nice touch. I go here now just for special stuff I can't find at WalMart. I love this store, Don the morning greeter always makes us feel so welcome. I shop here once a week, sometimes more LOL. Mornings are the best time to go, after 4 its busy till about 9, and sundays forget about it everyones there!! While this is one of the largest HEB Plus stores I've seen, and they have some bigger selections and departments than many other local north area stores I've seen, however, this location has the WORST customer service I've encountered at an HEB store. During my last shopping trip here, I only encountered one truly helpful employee (which was in the electronics area). The staff at the deli meat and cheese service counter were slow and the person who waited on me was rude, slow and acted like they would rather not even be there. Both people at the checkout also had noticeable negative attitudes, with the same "I'd rather not be here" work ethic. They mechanically did their job, but this is the first time I was not greeted by a check out clerk, asked if I found everything alright, or asked if I'd like help out (which I didn't need, but I've always appreciated the courtesy). Whoever is managing this HEB location needs to do some serious Customer Service training with their employees in multiple departments at this location. If you can find what you need at another nearby HEB, I highly recommend you skip this one. read more

The store is super nice and very clean it's usually got everything I need but I need to know where it is because the staff is not generally helpful here if this H-E-B and they don't usually know where things are so it makes things a little harder when the stores so big. I've come out twice to find a basket pushed up against my truck they do not do good job of picking up the baskets. But it is very convenient to have an H-E-B in my backyard. read more

I just read in my neighborhood blog that HEB employees at Leander store commonly demand IDs when a youngster is with a Mother and the Mother buys a bottle of wine of something like it. I find this an insulting, sickening and stupid policy. A store manager should be required to call every family they have embarrassed in this ignorant manner, say for the last year. I don't have kids, but am still put off that any moron who deals with the public would treat others in this manner. I think we will move all pharmacy items and stop shopping at HEB. I would have just called the store and asked to speak to a manager, but they have made that rather difficult to do. Hence, hello Walmart. read more

As a Leander, Tx resident of 15 years, I remember waiting for the construction of this HEB. I was not disappointed! I seldom shop for groceries or fill my gas tank any where else. I find the employees to be pleasant and helpful. Because of the new construction in the area, an added benefit is being able to walk to the store. (About 1 mile from my home.) Usually when I walk it's to purchase a few items I can carry with me. Great exercise! I am pleased with the service and products they offer. read more

Every year I custom order my birthday cake here and this year it was completely ruined. The icing color was wrong and the icing was completely cracked! When it was mentioned to the women in the bakery, they never offered to fix it! So not only that ruined my experience here, but the cashiers here weren't very friendly either. read more

I've shopped at this HEB Plus since it opened and haven't had any major complaints. Today I tried out their new Curbside Pick Up service. AMAZING! Everything in the store is online to choose from. I shopped sitting with my iPad at home, setup a pick up time and they did the rest. I just sat in my car while they brought it out and loaded it up...quickly. Everything I ordered was there and bagged so perfectly. (ie. glass bottles of juice triple bagged, all cold items in same bag). I highly recommend this service over walking through the store at inconvenient times when you have so much else to accomplish. read more

I live really close to this heb and hate it. It never fails that something rings up more then the price tag. Even if its a damn "deal" they have going on. Today was the worst. We bought grapes on sale $4.77, they ring up wrong of course. I decided on the way out to double check it. Maybe I am wrong. So I go and ask if the big bright yellow tag that reads $4.77 is for the grapes. I am told yes. I tell him it never fails, prices are always wrong here. He decides to be a smart ass and pull his wallet out. I told him its not about the dollar, but the prices are always wrong. Then he picks up the grapes and says here just take them. Again not my point I slammed them down and said I don't want them. He clearly wasnt hearing my complaint and at this point I am mad. I did run into a manager on my way out and told him about the situation. The produce guy was just rude. I agree about the lay out of other reviews its not the best. I feel like they are out if stuff a lot or replace it with heb brand which makes me mad. Dont force me to buy your brand. Its annoying. I do love the produce and meat at heb though. Walmarts is not very good. So I will continue with heb. I just might have to drive to cedar park. read more

Just moved here and since I have been to other HEB Plus locations, I was excited that this was close to me. Wrong! This is the dirtiest, nastiest HEB I've visited. Starting with the parking lot full of oil spots and garbage and the pizza shop and nail salon near the entrance make it look trashy. The milk area is disgusting with spills all over. The ready-made food area stinks. Hardly ever open and very limited choices. My stomach literally hurts when I have to go there since there is nothing else nearby. Looking forward to the Randalls and Whole Foods opening in the next year. Yes, it's sad. read more

Probably cutting my own throat here but man it bugs me.. I go to this HEB because 1. It is close to my house and 2. It has a butcher area that sells the Prime 1 beef. The problem is, getting service at the counter. Just this Saturday I was standing there trying to be obvious I needed assistance and one butcher pushed a cart of steaks through the door and started stocking them as I stood 10 ft from him. I made the standard eye contact and body language that indicated I was waiting for someone to help me but I might as well have been a sack of dog food. I walked back and forth in front of the counter, made pretense to find a buzzer or bell at the door (They've removed it) and still nothing. About 5 minutes into this another guy from behind the counter finally comes over and asks if I need help. I commented that I had been here 5 minutes and wondered where the buzzer was. he made a comment about it being a doorbell and didn't work very well. I asked if the other guy was trained not to help customers while stocking and he kind of blew it off. The thing is, this happens more often than not. I buy steak about 3 times a month and it is rare when I don't stand there for 5-10 minutes waiting for them to finally acknowledgeme. Either do away with the counter or service it. On a good note, the prime is very good and the wine selection is outstanding. read more

The Leander location is one of the worst in the entire chain. It is dirty, poorly stocked most of the time, and was built much too large, just to accommodate adding excessive amounts of unnecessary non-grocery merchandise. Most of the full-time checkers are slow and inefficient; if you must shop at this awful place, head to a checkout line that is staffed by a high school or college student--you'll get through the process much faster. Also, the pharmacy is the slowest around--I once needed a new prescription filled rather quickly and was told it *might* be ready the next day (this was on a Tuesday or Wednesday, around 10.30 am). I decided to pass on this offer and drove to a nearby chain pharmacy and had the prescription in my hands in about 15 minutes. I do as little business with HEB as possible, and if I absolutely must enter one of their stores, I go to other locations far, far away from Leander. read more

This is an awesome store. Great selections with friendly staff that will walk up and ask if they can help me find something. I guess it's the bewildered look of being lost that gives me away. I like this HEB because it is close to where I live and it is clean. Whenever I go they always have plenty of cashiers to ring up my groceries. Their produce and meat sections are always well stocked and fresh. They also have a huge garden area which is a plus for a grocery store. The only thing I would say that I don't like is they sometimes they are out of my favorite tea, chips and a few other items on my grocery list. For the most part though, they are a great grocery store. read more

I go multiple times a week. The staff is pretty nice, but some just don't know where things are. Over time, you get to know who is who there, and there are some very helpful employees who do know where everything is, and if they are out of something, will order it, and it comes in when they say it'll come in. Much better than Walmart and the prices are competitive too. read more

I was trying to buy a wooden bench for my mother for her birthday. They had a real beautiful bench for around $200. After i bought the bench i opened it up the find the wood all chipped and scratched up. After seeing this i took the bench back and swapped it out for a different one. The next one i had seemed to be worse then then one i had already brought back. After returning for a third time. The man who worked in the out door furniture section didn't want to switch it out for a different one that wasn't broken and was really rude and very condescending towards me. I wound up getting my money back because they didn't want to take the time to help get a product that wasn't broken. I have always liked HEB but this was a very bad experiences for me. read more

I have been an HEB customer since the 1970's in the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio area and now in the Leander, Cedar Park area since 1987. I shopped at the HEB in Cedar Park until I moved from Blockhouse Creek Sub-division to near Liberty Hill in 2007 when I started shopping at the HEB Plus in Leander. I endured the over-crowded conditions at the Cedar Park HEB until they built the store on Parmer and 1431 and the Leander HEB. I have had minor complaints about stocking and customer service over the past that has just worsened in the last few years. Now, with curb side service the order fillers virtually run over you trying to fill their carts for people who do not come to the store. In the past, only the workers ran over you in the isles. It appears they are required to do their jobs even if the customer is not thought of. Just recently I have reported dried blood under the packaged hamburger that never gets cleaned up. I consider this a health hazard. Most of the check stands are open, but there are no baggers helping the checkers. Baggers on each check stand, with fewer check stands open, would offer more efficient operations. HEB likes your business so much they want you to bag your own groceries. I like my groceries bagged and put in my cart a certain way. If I correct the baggers, they give me a go to hell look and act like I am telling them to break the law. The front end always has at least one person pointing where you should go to check out. I think it would be well to let people find their own check stand and send those slackers to bag groceries. On one trip, the bagger put laundry products in with my fresh meats. Just recently I arrived at the check out stand and advised the clerk I had a gift card and asked her if she could process it with my groceries. She said yes and placed it on my bill. She then said it would not allow her to put the gift card on my bill. She called two more people who had no idea what to do. I set my groceries aside and went to the customer service area (have a good laugh). The lady said she could run my check for a little over $200.00. When she put it in her machine, she said it would not take the check. She went in the back and came back saying that she could not cash my check and she could not, as a third person, find out why it was refused. I was really embarrassed since people surely thought I was trying to pass a bad check. I put my groceries and gift card on a credit card and came home thinking maybe my identity had been stolen. I checked my bank account and found that there was plenty of money. I called the number they gave me and was told they had no idea why the check did not cash.....it just did not! I called the store and San Antonio HEB offices and spoke to two people and advised them what had happened. I left my name, address and phone numbers at both HEB locations and some 24 hours later no one has bothered to call me. DO YOU REALLY THINK THEY WANT MY BUSINESS OR YOURS FOR THAT MATTER? I probably will not find any better situations at other stores, but I plan to try. Forgot something: The black birds on the outside. Do not wash your vehicle before you go. There will be bird do-do all over your vehicle and the curbs in the parking lot. Bird do-do is not healthy. HEB Plus nor the City of Leander seem to care about doing anything about this health hazard. read more

This is the nicest HEB in the Cedar Park area. This HEB takes forever to get out of when shopping. It is a very large store.

very disappointed in this store and it's the closest most convenient to my home. 1st, went to get a flu shot and gave them my insurance, they said they could not process my insurance they needed my pharmacy card. then, they told me my pharmacy card does not have vaccinations on it. no duh, it's on my insurance card. after I called back and complained, suddenly they do know how to process it and want me to come back.... so, I asked if it's the 2013/2014 formula, the quadrivilent formula? I donno...so, they can't tell me if they have this years formula or last years formula. seriously? what are they doing in the pharmacy department that makes me so relieved I don't get my prescriptions there? next, I thought I would get a piece of single cake that I have bought there many times, they have stopped carrying it. when I mentioned it to a yellow shirt, she told me they had never carried it and I was mistaken I had ever bought it there. really? I am a fat man, I know where I purchase cake. and they used to sell it but don't lie to me and try to make me think I am making it up. that's just stupid. she is correct they don't sell it, they stopped months ago. she is incorrect they have never sold it when almost every other heb in town does. read more
