I took the Hybrid BLS certification course on 3/28/26. I passed, but the experience and…read moreorganization could have been better! The equipment wasn't clean and wasn't ready to go for my skills test appointment. The bag was missing the mask! I couldn't find the replacement until I looked under the manikins table and in one of the drawers. That wasted time. There should have been a spare set ready to go for my skills test upon check-in on the table. It was extremely hot in the room as well! There was no air conditioning in the room on a hot 90 degree day. I was literally dripping sweat doing the simulations until I realized there was a portable air conditioner. I did turn on the portable unit. It took awhile to cool down the room. Again, wasting time. The proctor had to intervene a few times because the internet connection was poor! It lost connectivity a couple of times and the connection was spotty. The person was very helpful but hard to understand. The instructions that were given were vague. On a positive note, the online portion was "excellent"! The course work was very convenient, easy to follow, and the videos were great! I loved doing the online modules prior and than doing the skills test from 4:00PM to 5:00PM. This saved a lot of time. I appreciate this option. My only recommendation is for the skills test on exam day to be ready to go for the scheduled appointment and better organized with complete kits to perform the skills tests. Also, a more reliable internet connection. Thank you for offering the Hybrid class! I would definitely consider testing this option again because my work schedule and the convenience, but with the hope that it would be more organized. So I waited till 5:58PM (training was scheduled for 6:00PM) and called Tyler to make sure the training will take place and he said that he was "running late because (he) left the key". He did not even bother to inform me about his tardiness before I called him. The CPR Squad office is located in an isolated back office and when he said that the training will be an individual training, I did not feel comfortable with this. So I said that I would like to cancel today's training and, instead, join a group lesson on another day. Tyler's response to this was "What's the logic in that?." He then continued to talk to me in an aggressive manner. (I'm so thankful I cancelled!!!) When a female customer says that she feels uncomfortable doing an individualized training at night time and prefers it to be a group lesson, the LOGICAL answer would be to be accommodating and provide an alternative training time with a group and not to become aggressive and yell at her. Tyler seriously lacks professionalism and, clearly, customer service is NOT his forte. I would not recommend this place to any one!!!

Thankfully it wasn't boring and dry for 4-5 hours; because when doing a recert, it's really not needed unless you have issue with certain changes.... or there are lessons that you are having trouble with. In that case she is more than happy to go thru those things with you to ensure you really know the material. I would definitely opt to go this route again instead of a traditional long classroom approach the next time I need to recertify. Making an appointment is very easy on the website and communicating with Teresa is a breeze. Price is about right and if you have the book great but if not speak with her about it because she generally has loaners that you can use. Good spot to learn!!

I was there with one other person for the class. I had a great experience and I feel confident with the instruction I received. The training was concise (more than 2 hours I didn't really keep track of time), a lot shorter than what I heard about CPR classes (5 hours). We also connected on a deeper level because we shared stories about our medical past. We are all survivors of something. The class was started on time because she wanted to respect our effort of showing up on time on a Sunday. Much appreciated. Side note to you know who you are: Don't go complaining to the receptionist who pics up the phone that you arrived at 9:50 am for the 10 o' clock class and the place was locked and no one let you in. Yes it was locked but I was sitting outside on the bench and walked towards the building at 9:48, I was talking to another attendee for at least 5 min before we were let in. We didn't even start until 10:05 because Kristine was waiting for any "stragglers." You were not there at 9:50, unless you have the invisibility cloak and decided not to step in when the door was opened. Don't lie, own up to your .... No one respects people like you. Location was a little confusing (took class same day as review), however it does have a GIANT 1524 on it so you can't miss that. It is the Spectrum building with the Dental Laboratories on the front. And NO the reception desk is not associated with Safety First CPR. Unless you're the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz, who doesn't have a brain, you can figure out that the building does not belong to them and they lease a room. I was texted the address by the receptionist and didn't receive any other correspondence. I was supposed to receive an invoice and notification but that never happened. So I decided what the heck and showed up anyways. Worked out in the end. (-1 star for the receptionist)

The instructor got everyone involved engaged and explained every questions everyone had. I was surprised with so much information being taught, the instructor broken the training into smaller segments and made it easy to understand. They have the latest and best manikins with light indicators to help you know how much pressure you need to push in order to perform the correct chest compression. From performing CPR on an adult, child and small infants. I now know what to do and the correct way to do it in case of an emergency. Not only knowing how to help others but also how to protecting yourself while helping. I highly recommend Safety First CPR for anyone that needs training in CPR, First Aid and AED certification!

This review is only for their FIRST AID certification-…read more I was looking around for a place to complete my first aid certification. I was glad to find out that you do not need to register prior nor do you need to make a reservation to attend class. It is on a walk-in basis and you just need to sign in. Once you get inside the room, the instructor gives you instructions to sign in and fill out a paper and an envelope. I gave them a check for $44 for standard first aid. If you're working with children, you must get the pediatric first aid (also $44) and it is the same instruction, but supposedly you just get a different card. The class says it is for four hours, but the instructor breezes by the lecture and it was done before I knew it. The center itself is a little small and it is not a normal classroom except for there being a whiteboard in the front of the classroom. There were lots of CPR dummies on the floor scattered everywhere and we sat in white lawn chairs. The instructor was a guy who was monotone and tried to be funny, but I was beginning to be really sleepy. All in all, you get what you pay for. In & out with your cert! I think I will be back for my re-cert for first aid :)
