I couldn't find the replacement until I looked under the manikins table and in one of the drawers. That wasted time. There should have been a spare set ready to go for my skills test upon check-in on the table. It was extremely hot in the room as well! There was no air conditioning in the room on a hot 90 degree day. I was literally dripping sweat doing the simulations until I realized there was a portable air conditioner. I did turn on the portable unit. It took awhile to cool down the room. Again, wasting time. The proctor had to intervene a few times because the internet connection was poor! It lost connectivity a couple of times and the connection was spotty. The person was very helpful but hard to understand. The instructions that were given were vague. On a positive note, the online portion was "excellent"! The course work was very convenient, easy to follow, and the videos were great! I loved doing the online modules prior and than doing the skills test from 4:00PM to 5:00PM. This saved a lot of time. I appreciate this option. My only recommendation is for the skills test on exam day to be ready to go for the scheduled appointment and better organized with complete kits to perform the skills tests. Also, a more reliable internet connection. Thank you for offering the Hybrid class! I would definitely consider testing this option again because my work schedule and the convenience, but with the hope that it would be more organized. My son was so bored he just goofed off and didn't listen anymore because he could already do everything at that level since he'd been in the same class for over a year. We had asked her and she said she could move him up but she had to find spots in her other classes and she kinda seemed like she preferred the parent staying because it would be less work for her. Which goes to my next gripe that the other families in our time had been with us since the beginning! Yet she was willing to move all of our times, while they were still infants, to their nap time but she couldn't find time to transition them to swim by themselves. Since going, we've had the time changed 4 times all on Saturday. As any parent can attest to, messing around with nap times is a huge PITA. You could make the argument that she was being cautious not letting him swim without his mom because she felt he wasn't ready. However, he had been swimming without my wife for over a year already. We had been going to another swim school because she stated there weren't any slots open and weren't seeing much progress with her. The last complaint I have is that we never got what we paid for. The class started 10 minutes late and ended 5 minutes early. For a 30 minute class that's essentially half the class she spent chatting with the class prior, snacking, or ending it so she could snack. That's very unprofessional and should be something she baked into her schedule versus taking time in the class.

Taking the CPR class with Tyler at The CPR Squad HQ was extremely informative and my wife and I had a lot of fun! Tyler makes the material very interesting and really makes everything easy to understand and comprehensible. It's cool that you can practice on such real-life manikin dolls and it's fun with the clicky noise and lights to help tell you if you're doing the right speed with pumps and giving enough air haha I have had to take a lot of CPR classes in the past that were not enjoyable, I wish I would have found Tyler and The CPR squad years ago!!!! read more

This review is only for their FIRST AID certification-…read more I was looking around for a place to complete my first aid certification. I was glad to find out that you do not need to register prior nor do you need to make a reservation to attend class. It is on a walk-in basis and you just need to sign in. Once you get inside the room, the instructor gives you instructions to sign in and fill out a paper and an envelope. I gave them a check for $44 for standard first aid. If you're working with children, you must get the pediatric first aid (also $44) and it is the same instruction, but supposedly you just get a different card. The class says it is for four hours, but the instructor breezes by the lecture and it was done before I knew it. The center itself is a little small and it is not a normal classroom except for there being a whiteboard in the front of the classroom. There were lots of CPR dummies on the floor scattered everywhere and we sat in white lawn chairs. The instructor was a guy who was monotone and tried to be funny, but I was beginning to be really sleepy. All in all, you get what you pay for. In & out with your cert! I think I will be back for my re-cert for first aid :)
