I took the Hybrid BLS certification course on 3/28/26. I passed, but the experience and organization could have been better! The equipment wasn't clean and wasn't ready to go for my skills test appointment. The bag was missing the mask! I couldn't find the replacement until I looked under the manikins table and in one of the drawers. That wasted time. There should have been a spare set ready to go for my skills test upon check-in on the table. It was extremely hot in the room as well! There was no air conditioning in the room on a hot 90 degree day. I was literally dripping sweat doing the simulations until I realized there was a portable air conditioner. I did turn on the portable unit. It took awhile to cool down the room. Again, wasting time. The proctor had to intervene a few times because the internet connection was poor! It lost connectivity a couple of times and the connection was spotty. The person was very helpful but hard to understand. The instructions that were given were vague. On a positive note, the online portion was "excellent"! The course work was very convenient, easy to follow, and the videos were great! I loved doing the online modules prior and than doing the skills test from 4:00PM to 5:00PM. This saved a lot of time. I appreciate this option. My only recommendation is for the skills test on exam day to be ready to go for the scheduled appointment and better organized with complete kits to perform the skills tests. Also, a more reliable internet connection. Thank you for offering the Hybrid class! I would definitely consider testing this option again because my work schedule and the convenience, but with the hope that it would be more organized. First of all I give the company 0 stars. There's no instructor. I had already done the online assignment and had to answer 3 more sessions of questions. I stood for almost 3 hours answering questions. There wasn't even a chair to sit down . Then they have the mannequins laying on tables. Well that's not a realistic scenario. They're setting people up for failure bc you have to stand over the dummies to do compressions. It would be much simpler and realistic to do the exercises on the floor!!!! I'd had enough and left. This is a total scam bc if you want to retake the skills tests you have to pay $30.00. I paid $79.00 and I'm certainly not giving them anymore of my money!!!! read more

I came here because my BLS AND ACLS CPR certificates were expiring and as a health care professional its essential to maintain it. Even if one is not in healthcare, I firmly believe its essential that all members of the public learn CPR and first aid to assist during those unexpected moments in life that could be the difference between saving someone or watching someone die. I have a passion about this topic. The reason? I saved my fathers life as a teen by using the Heimlich Maneuver taught to me during CPR when he was choking as a teen. Needless to say, KIDS , Teens, and Adults should all learn CPR and basic first aid. Signing up was easy, went online and found a location close to me. Within minutes I was able to attend a class within a few days and it was easy like 1-2-3. The instructor was a medical student/resident from UCI and a total delight. She made the class fun, engaging, and reviewing some updates on technique and skillset a blast. I appreciated her ability to be patient when some of us asked questions, and didnt scoff even if they were common sense questions. I was taught, no question is a bad question. So, I appreciated her teaching. Once we were done watching videos, and lecture was done, the hands on skill set portion on different dummies made it believeable as she was coming over and tweeking each of our techniques. I appreciated that. Better do it right, then fail and potentially lose someone. All in all, the class prepared me , brushed up on my skills and prepared me for the test. I aced it, recieved my certification via electronic email, and I am good to go. I would recommend SUREFIRE CPR to anyone in need to learn CPR, first aid, and other classes they offer for more specialized skill set. 5 STARS!!! What an amazing way to renew my BLS certification! For the last few years I've been doing a hybrid class where you watch the videos online and then come in and do skills with about 10 other people. But your way, I actually feel like I learned more AND learned the proper method because your mannequins are able to gauge whether I'm going too fast or too slow, switching in time, giving enough breaths, and so on! To be honest, I had to retake a couple of the tests because my compression rate and depth were off. I know you're not supposed to care about what other people think, but I would have been embarrassed if other people were there. I felt totally comfortable being there by myself, being guided by the computer, showing me what I was doing wrong and how to improve. Great location, lots of parking outside. They're on the second floor but both stairs and an elevator are available. I had some questions about my card, and their staff promptly got back to me and fixed the issue. I had my CPR and AED class yesterday, 04/21/2021. Sarina was an amazing instructor who made the 2 hour class fly by! I appreciate her for making this class fun and exciting. I had actually signed up for the First Aid class also, but found out from my work that I only need the CPR course. When I asked whether I could get a refund, Sarina said that she will let the admin team know as by then (6:00PM) they had left for the day. Today, 04/22/2021, I received a call from the Surefire Team to let me know the they had refunded the $20 charge for the First Aide course. Needed to renew my BCLS for work and of course I wait til the last minute. Surefire came through as they have so many classes throughout the week and weekends. They also have 2 locations. Classes are small and hands on. The instructors all have field experience which makes for interesting stories throughout the class. Our instructor, Jonny, was very nice and kept the class moving at a nice pace so we wouldn't get bored. Next time I need a re-cert I'm definitely coming back! read more

This location has always been great, but they really stepped it up to keep students safe during COVID. I did online BLS renewal with in-person skills check, and they took every precaution to ensure my safety. I was the only student in the classroom until the very end of my testing. Everything was sanitized, including sanitizing the AED in front of me. I was given a new pen to sign my paperwork. Fans were circulating air. The entire process was very quick too-about 15 minutes to demonstrate all the skills. Perfect experience! read more

This is my second CPR class I've taken but it was my first time here at SureFire CPR.I really appreciate the way the class was run. I actually feel very confident in providing CPR to someone versus the previous class I've taken. The professor made sure I was doing it correctly. It wasn't scary to work on doing it right with everyone. They really provided us with a comfortable and safe learning environment. Real people who have used CPR to save lives of others are teaching us CPR and I thought that was great. It was nice to hear real stories and what it's like and what to expect when you're giving CPR to someone. Some pointers: the class runs about 3 hours with breaks, free coffee and tea, we watched one very short video that was interesting. You don't really need to bring a book but I would bring scratch paper to take notes on. You get a discount if you come back to renew your certificate here again in two years. read more

No fuss CPR class. According to their website, their classes are taught by either a lifeguard, EMT, firefighter, paramedic or ER nurse. Chances are you'd get one of the first four, so maybe this would be ideal for a bachelorette party. Our instructor was an EMT and was extremely friendly and approachable. The class consisted mainly of videos and following allowing with instructions on the videos. Having been a lifeguard (certed by Red Cross) for six years, I much preferred the hands-on/scenario approach we used to use with our staff. I also noticed some people were placing their hands on the xiphoid process, which went uncorrected-- hope I never have to rely on them for CPR. Super awesome class. It wasn't too easy or too complex. I had two current EMT/Paramedics instruct the class, which really helped because they do this every day and can help articulate what is the most effective, etc. and even share their own experiences (nothing gross!). I liked the fact that there were two instructors, that way if the head instructor was having trouble answering a question the assistant could help. The only problem was we watched a lot of movies & it didn't feel very hands on. I would have left feeling more confident if this element was altered. Quinn & Enrique made a good team! read more

I'm not in the medical field, but took the BLS class with my boyfriend who is as he needed to be certified and I took the class to be better informed. The class was well organized and I learned so much. We had Hector who was very professional and gave great real life examples. He made the class entertaining while still explaining all the information thoroughly. I really liked how they show videos of real situations, so you know what to look for.
