I completed CPR training in February 2026 in Colorado and initially, the process itself was smooth. I can certainly acknowledge that. However, there were significant issues with the training setup that ultimately led to an injury. Due to the room configuration, I was unable to properly reach the mannequins and had to perform CPR on my tiptoes. The table was not adjustable, and no stool or accommodation was available. As a result of these poor ergonomics and lack of proper setup, I sustained a neck and trapezius injury mid-cycle. Ended up having to literally crawl on to the table . At the time, I reached out simply to provide feedback in hopes of preventing a similar experience for others especially individuals under 5 feet tall. The initial response I received was apologetic, and I appreciated that. However, after enduring five weeks of significant pain, I followed up to ask about the appropriate process before seeking medical care, as providers often ask for details about how an injury occurred. Unfortunately, the response I received at that point was defensive and dismissive, referencing a signed waiver rather than addressing the concern. The response was unfortunate. I fully understand that CPR training can be physically demanding. However, participants should be provided with a safe and properly adjusted environment to perform these skills. In this case, the setup did not allow for that and contributed directly to my injury. As a side note, I happened to have the session recorded (originally intended for social media), and it clearly shows the moment the injury occurred. Overall, I'm very disappointed in both the lack of appropriate setup and the company's response. I am still dealing with daily neck pain without resolution. read more

I have been going for years now. Last time I did my BLS, I was shocked that it was a tiny room with just a mannequin and a computer. You don't really learn or get told how to do it properly. It's basically trial and error until you pass. Now, I tried booking a PALS class and there's non available. I called the number and it's a corporate or something. They don't know anything. I used to be able to call and talk to receptionists, which were so helpful. So sad to see this happen with good places. read more

I'm going to start out by saying that I had used SureFire CPR about two years ago and had a great ECG course with an amazing instructor who was a flight medic. My CPR needed to be renewed and I noticed that none of their classes are instructor led anymore. I scheduled a BLS class and you end up in a tiny room with two mannequins with a computer prompting you what to do. The infant mannequin was broken and did not work properly. I had to call support services. All that being said support services were very helpful. Do NOT use this as a CPR class especially if this is your first time taking this class. You can really benefit from instructor guidance. This whole thing felt incredibly dystopian and gave me a sinking feeling in my gut about all those instructors who probably got laid off to be replaced by online courses or automated mannequins. This company is not far off from just flat out using AI to run its classes I guarantee it. Let's not support a business that doesn't put people first. read more

I just completed my intial ACLS today and I had such a great experience. Karen was my instructor and she is extremely knowledgeable. This is my second time coming here for BLS renewal. My most recent instructor was Swish. I worked at 7a today and came to her class at 2:30p. Honesty, I was afraid I was going to snooze in the class. I was wrong! She made the class fun and interesting! She was knowledgeable in different topics, had high natural energy, and approacheable. I absolutely loved this place and it was my number 1 choice for all my certs. I've been coming here for close to 10 years. On my way to my PALS class I got an emergency phone call regarding one of my family members who is in the hospital. I walked in and explained the situation and handed in my pretest saying I needed extra time to finish phone call. Karen at the front desk said no problem when you are done you can come into room A. I went outside and took the phone call which went longer than I anticipated. I walked in at 2:30 and she was like we can't accept you in the class. I was frustrated and another lady who was in the office was like "you said 5 min I heard you" with a smirk I said I'm sorry I wish the call was shorter but I'm doing my best to abide by your policy and deal with an emergency. She was extremely rude and the other girl Karen apologized and said that she should of communicated that if it was past a certain time they would not let me back in and I would of made a different choice-like rescheduling when I first walked in. The whole situation could have been handled in a more professional manner. This will definitely be the last year I renew with them. read more

It was my first time renewing my BLS with SurefireCPR. I signed up for the hybrid class because it was convenient with my schedule. After completing the online portion, I went to their in-person office to do the hands-on skills session. Although there's no in-person instructor, they have demo videos that were very helpful. I've been coming here for years to keep my certifications up to date for my nursing requirements. It's very convenient that they offer virtual training as an option. The in-person classes are very informative and more hands on so I do prefer those. I like the different experience that each instructor has to contribute to the class. My most recent instructor was Joshua C and it was the best one yet! He was so helpful with answering anyone's questions, to the point, and also very practical. I appreciate the straight forwardness and videos they show. I also love that you can take as many notes as you need and then get to use them during your end-of-course exam. They also provide snacks, coffee, water, or vending machine items while you're there. That is so thoughtful! Overall, I always feel extremely confident with my skills and knowledge after attending Surfire's classes. Swish and Hector , you two are heaven sent ! I was so anxious about going into the BLS training considering I did not come from a medical background and I knew nothing about CPR or the medical terms used . I am also not very good with test taking as my anxiety takes over. However , as soon as I walked in , Hector greeted me and was super welcoming and offered snacks/beverages . Swish and Hector both taught the class with such clarity , that it was easy for me to grasp all the information . I had communicated to them both that I was extremely anxious for the exams and they both gave me reassurance and support with their kind words. I just came back from my BLS certification 8:00 am- 11:30 am class taught by Nick and Cecline. So as a newbie to this type of certification classes, my skepticism and anxiety were raising in another level. However, these two friendly and well-trained medical professionals, Nick and Cecline, have taken away those negative feelings. They were very informative, caring, and patient. They walked us through each section, gave time for questions/concerns, answered them all before moving on. Then they would spend time to rehearse with each and every one of us, and reassured of our understandings. In addition, I want to give a big shoutout to Nick and Cecline for giving extra attention to a first-timer like me. I appreciated you guys for noticing my malfunctioned models, and replacing them so that I can have better visualizations of chest rises. An additional shoutout to Cecline for providing useful tips of how to perform chest compressions as a petite girl, correcting my cradling & squeezing BVM positions. It's rare to see an instructor who actually sincere and care enough to fix their students' mistakes. I'm thankful for both of your supportiveness & extraordinary efforts for today's class. This class was so much fun! Honestly I was dreading a Saturday BLS class at 10am, but Swish and Leah made the class so fun. Swish was so much high energy and made us laugh throughout the whole class. Very disappointed with the service so far. I booked a class and to accommodate it I had to take half a day off work which was really hard for me. I work 5 days a week and don't have childcare on the weekends so it took me 3 weeks to coordinate everything to make it work. I happened to call about the pre-requisite and they informed me the class was moved. I never received an email notifying me. When I mentioned this, magically a few hours later I get an email about the time change. This was them backtracking and covering up the change. I called back and inquired about the change and told them about my difficulties with the schedule. They told me I just had to reschedule. I asked since it was mistake on their part if I could do the online course and a short in person class. They said I would have to pay difference and they couldn't do anything. Hesitantly I rebooked the class and they told me they would let me know of any changes. It's unclear why the schedule isn't finalized prior to posting and having people sign up. Just disappointed in my experience. I realize this is based on teacher availability but when that happens it would be nice to accommodate those of us that have planned work schedules around this. I am hoping the actual class is worth it Addendum- I just received a call from Kaylee and Chelsea and I want to start off by saying they really listened to my needs and they took accountability. I realize it's not anyone's fault bc of availability of instructors. They took the time to listen and have offered to work with me and my schedule. I was extremely surprised at their prompt response and their willingness to help. I have not had this kind of service recently. It really works! I just had my CPR class today. The instructors were really funny, charismatic and kept us engaged. Fast forward to this evening. I took my girlfriend to go watch Sinners. The movie is awesome. Things are heating up, Haley Steinfield says something steamy, and I feel what was a spit take hit the top of my head. I turn and look at my girlfriend and I see fluid shoot at her head to from behind us. I get up to look and see what was happening and the man behind me was projectile vomitting. We run and assess him in the dark. It's loud. He's not responding. We yell to get 911, and an AED, and to open emergency doors (no one did that's okay, we just thought that would draw more attention). We felt no pulse, couldn't really observe a chest rise with the lighting, so I pulled his legs down to lay his body flatter and my girlfriend started compressions. We switch out, I did compressions, my gf was making sure we were getting help. The man comes back. Had no idea what just happened. We did a quick neuro assessment. He just wanted to get back to the movie. Paramedics came, he's okay but everything I learned today, ran through my head. Thank you, you guys literally help save this man's life. read more

Have taken BLS, ACLS, and BLS renewal at SureFire CPR and they have very great instructors all around! Except there is one instructor who put a damper into the experience, Ms. "Swish", is very condescending to the students and to her staff that she seems to be training. She stated that training our compressions on the ground compared to on the table was basically worthless, which we all did not agree on. She also gave snarky comments to her students and was rude to everyone! I do not plan on returning to SureFire CPR due to my experience with her as there are plenty of other instructors around that make it a more comfortable and provide a safe space environment for everyone. She also would not keep interrupting the skills check environment by constantly going in and out of the room. Other than that, they do provide your certificate shortly after class. There was no issues on that aspect. read more
