Do not go here if you value your time and value professionalism from service providers…read more I was cancelled on once because Tyler said that he was going out of town and when I rescheduled and arrived to the training 10minutes prior to the training start time the office was closed. So I waited till 5:58PM (training was scheduled for 6:00PM) and called Tyler to make sure the training will take place and he said that he was "running late because (he) left the key". He did not even bother to inform me about his tardiness before I called him. The CPR Squad office is located in an isolated back office and when he said that the training will be an individual training, I did not feel comfortable with this. So I said that I would like to cancel today's training and, instead, join a group lesson on another day. Tyler's response to this was "What's the logic in that?." He then continued to talk to me in an aggressive manner. (I'm so thankful I cancelled!!!) When a female customer says that she feels uncomfortable doing an individualized training at night time and prefers it to be a group lesson, the LOGICAL answer would be to be accommodating and provide an alternative training time with a group and not to become aggressive and yell at her. Tyler seriously lacks professionalism and, clearly, customer service is NOT his forte. I would not recommend this place to any one!!!

I was able to renew my certification quickly. Completed on the online portion at 10pm last night and then the in-person portion this morning. I highly recommend.

The equipment wasn't clean and wasn't ready to go for my skills test appointment. The bag was missing the mask! I couldn't find the replacement until I looked under the manikins table and in one of the drawers. That wasted time. There should have been a spare set ready to go for my skills test upon check-in on the table. It was extremely hot in the room as well! There was no air conditioning in the room on a hot 90 degree day. I was literally dripping sweat doing the simulations until I realized there was a portable air conditioner. I did turn on the portable unit. It took awhile to cool down the room. Again, wasting time. The proctor had to intervene a few times because the internet connection was poor! It lost connectivity a couple of times and the connection was spotty. The person was very helpful but hard to understand. The instructions that were given were vague. On a positive note, the online portion was "excellent"! The course work was very convenient, easy to follow, and the videos were great! I loved doing the online modules prior and than doing the skills test from 4:00PM to 5:00PM. This saved a lot of time. I appreciate this option. My only recommendation is for the skills test on exam day to be ready to go for the scheduled appointment and better organized with complete kits to perform the skills tests. Also, a more reliable internet connection. Thank you for offering the Hybrid class! I would definitely consider testing this option again because my work schedule and the convenience, but with the hope that it would be more organized. I am certified for the next 2-years, so we are good. Thank you again. Have a great week!

I started giving blood last year thanks to my friend, DC, who donates regularly. I hope to make it…read morea regular habit as well because giving blood saves lives. So, last month after work, I randomly decided to find a local Red Cross and donate blood. Front entrance - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=72&select=7nAFi53CZgZJqp9fcRYFqg When I arrived, a gentleman at the front desk helped me sign in. Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=72&select=wqN4YMqIQIOx9oE9EMmrNg I took a seat in the waiting area and within ten minutes, I was with a phlebotomist named Herschel. She was great--very friendly and professional. After the initial screening process, Herschel walked me over to the main area where blood is drawn. Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=72&select=ZhC2L05578Hkkd0IfQSOFw I noticed several people on the opposite side of the room, propped up with pillows and covered in blankets watching television. They had IVs in both arms. I later learned they were donating either platelets, which are crucial for leukemia patients. (Two hour procedure.) Whole blood donation - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=72&select=PZtYtQPc_dZq91ByUEnCEw This was my first time donating whole blood at the Laguna Hills location, and it was a very good experience thanks to Herschel. I even received a free Tetris-themed t-shirt with my blood donation. Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=72&select=C2FYG3pDKbz11wHgCTuBwA I also received a coupon for a free haircut from SportsClips! A month later, I made my very first platelet donation. I learned that these donations are by appointment only and can take up to two hours. During the procedure, you must keep your arms still while regularly squeezing a ball. Each station has a television, so you can watch Netflix or Disney Plus. After donating, I sat in their recovery area for 15 minutes, where they provided snacks and bottled water. Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=72&select=yhGVO9myBuLsp879TdxvIQ I have an appointment later this month for my first Power Red donation. (45 minute procedure.) This is similar to a whole blood donation, except a special machine allows you to safely donate two units of red blood cells while returning your plasma and platelets. Giving blood is a small way to help those in need and it truly helps save lives. - Big Aloha!

The phlebotomy supervisor personally informed me to especially wait the full hour until appt, as they were extra busy. Then was told they are CLOSED, even while numerous people were still donating . She accused me of being late and coming in at 7:23pm. When in actuality, I sat around awaiting someone's acknowledgment after CHECKING IN. I understand people are exhausted and might have attitudes. I took two separate drives to ensure I gave them enough time, while also running in the door to not be more than a minute late. Being blamed for their own scheduling mishap and negligence, without a single apology or shred of accountability felt awful. I receive emails and calls multiple times a week in need of my universal donor blood type. It's a shame that someone desperate for critical health assistance could've possibly used today's donation. Who knows how many people are discouraged from routinely visiting Red Cross, if this is their standard environment and procedure. As a regular donor, I've never experienced anything of this sort from other sites.
