She is terrific - and her new office is in a convenient location right near the Wilton campus of Adirondack Community College. I had been one of her patients at The Hearing Shop (Wilton Medical Arts/Saratoga Hospital) and was very disappointed in the hospital when they closed that office depriving me and everyone else of Dr. Solomon's talents. My hearing aids needed service and the hospital would not/could not provide the warrantee service that I had paid for. I went to another audiology office in town - but it was just not the same. I guess I was spoiled and hadn't realized just how good Dr. Solomon is. As luck had it I encountered Dr. Solomon in town while she was doing some work with a local charity and she told me that she was in the process of setting up a new private practice. I'm thrilled because I need to replace my hearing aids soon and there is nobody I'd trust more than Dr. Solomon. If you need help with your hearing or hearing aids - this is the office to call. I left the office thinking Riccio was incompetent and called the Practice Manager to explain, and let him know I was not comfortable paying for zero value added! He read Riccio's notes out loud to me and it became evident she incorrectly recorded her notes to justify her work (notes said she made a suggested next step, but did not include I replied/informed her that was the first step tried prior with no joy). The time on the phone with the Practice Manger tried my patients (he was not impressive) but I remained professional through the end of the call .... My high deductible insurance and I were just bellied at full price

He is welcoming, energetic, patient, informative, genuine, and kind. He took his time to explain everything to my mother and us. He put my 92 year old mother at ease. Over the past few years she has experienced diminished hearing - which effects overall quality of life. If you can't hear a conversation - you can't participate or be truly engaged. Dr. Bergmann's excellent skills and professionalism are top notch and we were very pleased with the outcome. My mother is thrilled and we're happy to have her back to feeling engaged in conversation with us and others.

Someone picked up the phone and disconnected the call, so I called back and the phone rang and rang and rang and then the call dropped. I tried a couple other times and the same thing happened. I tried Saratoga and the phone was consistently busy. I got on website with chat and representative said she would have someone contact me and of course that hasn't happened. I drove to Albany office from Latham which took about 40 minutes and told the receptionist what happened. She told me Castleton is closed rest of week. She said if I had left message she would have called me back. I reiterated calls were being dropped in her office. I was never given chance to leave message. I certainly didn't drive all the way over there because it was fun. She couldn't get me in today but gave me 8am appointment. I don't know what is going on with Madison Saratoga but I won't be buying any more hearing aids from them. Thanks for the response from the Office Manager, but when you see Customer Review Ratings of 1.63/5 on the Better Business Bureau for Madison Saratoga aka Hearing Life, then it looks as though many, many people, specifically customers, are struggling with respect for the company, apparently not just me. But, I do think it is The Hearing Aid business in general that is unregulated that is the problem. They also deal with the elderly, though not always, the hearing impaired and the marginalized due to their disability. Or in other words-the vulnerable.

I bought the hearing aids a little over 2 years ago through my husband's union and Hearing in America with a contract. I confirmed with Hearing in America today that my contract/warranty was indeed for 3 years. The folks at Hearing in America are going to contact Madison Saratoga, about this issue and what looks to be an erroneous charging issue, on my behalf. I will let them work it out-hopefully they can get through on the telephone. At the time I was charged, I did ask why I hadn't been charged before if my contract was up after one year and there was no response. It is exhausting between phones that don't work, erroneous charges and technicians who don't like to do Real Ear, although the audiologist in Albany did Real Ear.

Turns out, I can hear just fine, I'm just a bad husband who doesn't listen to his wife. She deserves much better. That was that. Shane didn't try to sell me anything, didn't guilt me into buying something I didn't need, and he seemed thrilled to help someone out with their hearing. He told me to let everyone know that most people wait way too late to have a hearing test, so I should get the word out to everyone that they should come on down to Miracle Ear and get a free hearing test to make sure that their ears are fine and to stop any hearing damage if things are not fine. Shane likes to help people, and folks don't think about their hearing until it's too late, which is why they have this free offer for a hearing test. Unfortunately for Shane, I didn't listen to that part about telling everyone I knew, but I did let Yelp know. Most people I know aren't worth a hill of beans, but I've never met a Yelper I didn't like. Take care of your ears, Yelp. Come on down to Miracle Ear. Dr. Gartner continually had the patience to spend as much time as necessary with me to ensure that the proper fit and adjustments were accomplished. They're also really good about fitting me in for an appointment quickly. They're also respectful and understanding. This place is affiliated with Albany Medical College, so they often have student observers. However, they're very good about not forcing that on you if you're not comfortable with it. For instance, when they asked me if a male student could observe my last gynecological exam, I wasn't having it. And that was fine.
