My initial exam was very thorough and met the high standards I expected. I chose top quality aids…read moreand when I returned for the fitting just a couple of days later, that went extremely well, too. I have yet to make my first follow-up visit, but so far I'm very pleased. I had been to this office twice before in past years for other testing. It's been a very good relationship so far.

Went here 7 years ago and had issues with them not knowing about my insurance coverage but still…read moreinforming me about my insurance coverage! Currently, I just purchased new hearing aides and was told they wouldn't charge me until after I got the hearing aides. I was charged $7K that day anyhow, which was fine I would have to pay it sooner or later. Then 3 weeks later when the hearing aides arrived they wanted to charge me again. I stated that I already paid for them 3 weeks ago and to double check their records. I was also told that the insurance company would refund me and send a check directly to me. Note never believe a company always check directly with your insurance company. Never happened! The insurance company sent the check to them which caused confusion on refunding the credit to a card that I was in the process of closing. The hearing aides....rechargeable hearing aides are much thicker than battery operated hearing aides. I was not informed of that until until I got them. The wires on the hearing aide were too long so they were not fitted properly. When I went back they stated the wires were too long and installed shorter ones. Still not fitting well and slipping our of my ear. I give up.... At this point its easier to bring everything back, get a refund and start over somewhere else.

I have been taking my mother to Hear for You for years. I have always been impressed with the way…read moremy mother is treated with respect and with tender loving care. I especially like the way everyone talks to my 89 year old mother, instead of acting as if she is not in the room. I believe my mother looks forward to the Hear for You appointments. While in COVID, I could not take my mother out for an appointment, but, Hear for You fixed my mother's hearing aids (in one day) and I had them back to Mom that evening. I highly recommend Andrew at Hear for You in Ballston Spa, NY. It is sometimes written as a "Malta" address. It is the same place.

I don't know what is going on here behind the scenes but it's a cluster on the forefront,…read more I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks in advance notifying them upfront that I had thousands in insurance benefits for hearing aid that needed to be used by the end of the coming month or I'd lose it, I needed hearing aids and knew what I wanted. It took a bit but i got a confirmation and mentioned this again and went online and filled out info and provided my insurance info. Day of appt, still no one has even checked into coverage or benefits to set up order. They assured me they would then. I assumed this was true and went back with the audiologist for a brief screening test. Here's where things really fell apart and went from medical professionalism to used car sales. I was then subjected to a spiel . There was no attempt to match me with the correct product for my unique hearing profile. Or to fit me in one of the brands I know and like and have accessories for... it was all about starkey . When I asked why it was because starkey is owned by their parent company. He didn't have an interest in selling me anything else although my coverage was exceptional and I know it covered these other higher end models and brands in the past.He claimed they are all the same and they may be ll similar quality but they are not all the same technology and he was also not offering the most current models, why not? Dont get me wrong, starkey ( the current model) is as good for many folks, but its a personal thing and it matters, and its not best for me, and I dont need the 2022 technology when my insurance covers 2025. When challenged , it was all about the spiel and the sell and the story . He explained that he had chosen a model of starkey for me no testing of the units, no try on, no trial day or two, this is it, he'll look into the insurance and order these or a leader model " depending" . I was patient and figured I'd try but warned him that at this point, my insurance ends in 10 days so will I be able to try these out before then? Well no, we don't have anything for you to try. But we will look into insurance. ? Of course , they are working on that. A week passes and I call, no one has looked into insurance, my policy benefit has just 3 more days . Fast forward 3 weeks, the "starkey salesman " who did my hearing test calls to tell me that I don't have that benefit with that insurance. Correct, not anymore. They cost me thousands and no explanation or apologies, just rationalization and lies. It was unprofessional and scammy. I don't get it. They had an easy sale . I was even willing to buy their Starkeys.
