This business sold me a package deal for head spa treatments it cost over $300.00 dollars then they suddenly closed. No notice no one answering the phone which goes straight to voicemail only to hear a message that the mailbox is full,no one answering emails either. When I arrived for my appointment at 2:50 the people in the business acted like they didn't know what I was talking about - then they started acting like they didn't know any English. Went here yesterday after buying a Groupon and making an appointment. The front desk lady was very nice and accommodating and got me scheduled right away. The time of the massage, i asked if i can have a female masseuse and the person insisted on the male masseur for me and indicated that he's good and has a lot of experience. That wasnt the issue for me but i just think if a request is made and if theres an available staff then you should really listen to your customer. Additionally, come the massage. The masseur was extremely rough and i felt like i was getting beat up the whole time. He was going waaay too fast, which i did not understand why. They were nice and i wish i had a better experience but i woke up this morning and i cant even lift my head. My back is in severe amount of pain right now and i think that the masseur dislocated something in my back. Im extremely disappointed as i really wanted to like this place... Additionally, i would recommend that the staff be told to please please close the door all the way. It is common courtesy and protects the clients privacy. I was so sad that when the staff left to go take something, i knew that the door was just wide open. Now i think i need to go find another place that can fix my back as it hurts to even turn my head. I got the scalp head and shoulders massage with paraffin was on hands the gentleman masseuse should only be for men as he was very strong with his hands. Definitely should not be providing service to the elderly customers communication of letting your customer know what is going on first before receiving services for the first time is very ideal and key he burned my hand when applying the paraffin without notice I could expect some bruises tomorrow as this experience was not very relaxing at all unfortunately the quality was not good nos the vibes. Just went in for a 60 minute couple's massage for the second time with my husband. First experience was great. I wish I remembered my girls name. I had such a bad experience the second time, it was almost a joke. Judy was just rubbing my skin with no oil to the point it was uncomfortable. She only used oil on my back, it was a bit much. Not only placing hot stones immediately on my back without waiting for it to cool down a bit. It was the worst "massage" I've ever had. I have knots on my upper body that were never addressed. I read the reviews about Health Spa not honoring Groupons and stuff, but saw the overall reviews for services was nice, so I still decided to give them a try. I called them a couple days ahead of time to make a reservation for the three of us and they confirmed I'm good. We walk in and someone comes out from the back, and I was like I have an appointment for 3 people at 11am. Right then, I could see the "oh shit" look on her face and I could tell they likely weren't staffed up to accommodate the 3 of us. I heard the massuese call her boss and then a couple mins later she comes out and says we can do two people first and then take the 3rd one in a couple mins. My sister and her bf went in and started their massage. I'm sitting in the waiting room an hour later and no one has said a word to me. In the end I left there without getting a massage.... For what it's worth, my sister and her bf did say the massage felt ok... This was my third time going here for a head and spa with my significant other. I felt like that I got ripped off because last time I did 90 min I paid 90.00 along side with facial and I went through Groupon I had not known the facial wasn't with it. On top of that the dude that did my significant other head was a bit rough handed and on top of that they charged him 76.00 for 70 minutes when it was supposed to be 74.00 and on top of that I paid nearly $100 something for them to demand tip!!! They asked me where I heard about them which I said Groupon. They said don't buy from there and we will give you a better price at the shop. They cheated us because they didn't honor the Groupon price and charged higher. Also, when I tried to pull up the deal from Groupon it was gone and I noticed their page keep changing their packages through out the day on Groupon. This place is shady. Upon entering, no one at the front desk. About a minute later a woman came out and just said "massage? How long?" Didn't ask me my name, my appointment information or anything. I tried showing her my Groupon so she knew what service I had booked for but instead she just quickly led me to a room and shut the door behind me, no instructions given. I undressed and prepped for my massage which was scheduled for 9:30. At 9:40 a male entered the room (at most massage places when they book you, they ask if you're okay with a male - they did not). He began by massaging through the very thin sheet they provided (no blanket). The sheet was so short it didn't even cover my entire back and legs, my calf's and feet were exposed - so it was very cold. He also kept saying how cold his hands were (true). The massage lacked symmetry and technique. Rather, it felt like I was just getting rapidly rubbed with an insane amount of oil. It didn't feel like an actual massage at all. Mid massage someone actually entered my room, and spoke to him and then he opened the door and they had a conversation that lasted about a minute - which is so weird and uncomfortable considering you're undressed. Would not return; and would not recommend. A random funny note, when I was getting dressed I noticed the towels in the rooms were mix matched and some of them said thunder valley casino. This spa had fantastic service. BRAND NEW facility and you can tell! I was skeptical at first, I don't always trust these kinds of places as my last relationship had a falling out when my significant other met a "male masseuse" through his services and began a relationship together. However, I'm happy to report that there are only female masseuses here and Tina is very skilled and I repeatedly go to her for my full body massage now. It is also in a convenient location surrounded by food and restaurants. I usually get filled up on a nice big meal and a couple drinks before my massage sessions with Tina. The ambiance is very nice, and I love the Chinese/Asian people. Tinas hands are very soft but firm. The place has a welcoming environment and beautiful decor.
