I had an appointment scheduled for this evening, they make sure to send a confirmation text and reminder prior to your appointment which is super helpful. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time and was extremely thorough from start to finish. I was referred to this location by my older sister and I must admit I was a bit nervous because it was my first time being waxed. The location is in a nice shopping center in old Elk Grove . It's a very cute quaint space. The lady's in the front were very polite and helpful for a first timer. They offered me after care products for my waxing as well as a few brochure I could take and read up on the products being offered. I had the pleasure of being serviced by Anna! Thankful for our meeting because I immediately told her I was a little nervous and she made me feel at ease immediately. She was such a great conversationalist that I honestly was distracted from the pain that I did feel. She was very knowledgeable and relatable in many ways. Booking an appointment is super easy on their online booking system and you get plenty of reminders and confirmations leading up to your appointment date. Made an appointment for a Brazilian Wax. I was on my way to visit my home sweet home (born and raised), Hawaii. I wanted to be prepped for beach time. The person over the phone was very patient and friendly. On the day of the appointment, was my first time walking in. Walking in, I right away felt a sense of professionalism and cleanliness. The receptionist greeted me with a happy smile. I didn't wait too long for my appointment to begin. Anna/Ana was the esthetician that worked on my Brazilian Wax. She greeted me with positive energy being that this is the very first time I have ever tried it. She informed me of what she will be doing and along the way during the treatment, she gave me a heads up of how to care for my skin. She did all she could to make me feel at ease. No doubt it is a uncomfortable thing to do but she made it easy. Very friendly and informative. She was very professional. At the end of the treatment I made my payment at the reception. They also have products to help with the care of your wax if you want. They have made suggestions but they didn't push it on you. I bought the coconut oil guava scrub and it really was nice to use. I have never been here for a service, but I'm a spa owner semi local to the EG area and I wanted to use Wax Bare Wax in my shop because I try to support local businesses as much as I can. Since this is a local business, I thought it would be nice to go in person and chat with them about opening a professional wholesale account, but they made me feel like I was bothering them. They wouldn't answer any of my questions and said all they could do was sell me 1 pound bags of wax. Anything else has to be done online. Wax Bare also seems to sell their wax to anyone because they didn't ask to see my esthetics license upon purchase. It's not safe to be selling professional products to non professionals. I'm really disappointed in the service and I wish someone would have taken the time to kindly explain the policies or direct me to someone who could help me. read more

Apparently it can take up to multiple sessions to wax an underarm (which I never had to do with other waxing places before). Prior to making the appointment I voiced my concern of my hair not being long enough. The person who made my appointment said that the waxer will determine if it's long enough once I'm in the room. So prior to starting I had asked the waxer "do you think my underarm hairs are long enough?". She said yeah and proceeded. Didn't notice until I got home that I still had multiple hair that I had to pluck. If I just knew that this would happen, I would've just done it myself in the first place When I called about this problem it seemed like they were going to fix it. As a courtesy I sent pictures and by the tone of their text it seems like these types of occurrence happens at this establishment. Never in my life did I have to do multiple sessions for an underarm to be bare of hair. They should put a disclaimer about this. Slay!!! Yes, I said it!! These girls slay the eye brow game! I can not stress that enough. Every girl that's taken care of my brows always takes their time to listen to what kind of shape, thickness, arch, and what ever eyebrow concern I had. After every session they show me where the hair needs to grow back for the shape I want. They clean up the brows by tweezing off any straggling hairs, and trim it down to a manageable length. They even offer to fill them in for you to show you the potential of how great your eye brows can become. So far my person favorite girl to see is Sara. She's awesome. I came in lookin like chewbacca. But I wanted to give her more of a canvas to work with. She listened to exactly what I wanted. After she was done waxing my brows I was impressed. She kept the thickness I wanted, and even made them look more symmetrical to each other. I liked how they turned out bc I could leave the house with out having to fill them in if I was in a rush, and I'd still look fine. I opted to have her fill them in for me before I left, and I immediately went from like to love! She let me know which products she used, and best believe I bought them when I checked out. As an esthetician, I have high standards for waxing studios in regards to sanitation, service, and atmosphere. That being said, I LOVE this place. I used to see Jazz up in Rocklin but she recently moved, so I drove all the way down to Elk Grove just to see her for my first Brazilian. It was so worth it! As always, Jazz is gentle, efficient, and talks to you through the whole service. It was not at all painful for me despite my concerns, and she made me feel totally comfortable. She's professional and always finds something to talk about so you're not sitting there in silence. And she keeps her room spotless! (Trust me, I know what to look for!) Really clean and lit up area which is really important when it comes to waxing. The appointment process was really easy to use with their online appointment system. Vanessa was really acknowledgeable about the waxing process since I told her it was my first time. She explained to me about the process and how important it is to keep good hygiene and maintenance when it comes to a Brazilian wax. Vanessa, amazing esthetician, I'm going to keep you forever. Originally, I went to European wax center and I met the amazing Vanessa. Today WAX BARe is officially open. Vanessa, now works here, of course I would follow her. It's 9m, I'm not a morning person, so I was grumpy. But when I walked in you can smell the newly painted walls. They have a nice white sitting area. They offer refreshments AND snacks. There's also a little kids area, there's toys, books, and a TV. Everything you need to feel comfortable while you patiently wait for your esthetician. But if you're new, you must fill out one page of paperwork. Since today is the first day, everyone will be filling them out. Went into the room. There's a mirror to the right. The waxing station is to the right and a nice long chair/bed ahaha I'm not sure what it's called. It's not green like European wax center, it's actually quite nice and comfortable. Vanessa and I were talking about their grand opening which is today and I was her second appointment of the day. I was honored. We talked about their new wax that they use, how it hurts a little more but picks up hair more better. Which doesn't matter to me because Brazilian hurts to me no matter how long ive been doing this. The price of beauty. They give you more privacy, they offer a sheet to cover you up if you're uncomfortable being completely naked from the waist down, and products to help with those in growns. How long did you last brow wax take? 5 minutes? These ladies always take at least 15 - 20 minutes to wax me (tiny seciotns at a time vs. big rips). Also, the wax they use is so rich that evan a girl like me with SUPER sensitive skin is not red afterwards.
