I called Friday for two Saturday haircut appointments and they scheduled me right away. I don't think they have a website or socials so just give them a call to schedule. We showed up and waited a couple minutes for them to finish their previous appointments, it was really busy! There's about 6 chairs for those to wait in, and 6 stations where they were cutting hair. I was seated with Angie, showed her an inspo picture and she gave me exactly what I wanted, a trim and quick style. After seeing the final results, due to my hair type she recommended trying a new style/cut and I was in the mood to try something new so she went out of her way to re-cut and style my hair. She showed me two styling options and was very patient even though she basically had to redo my hair. She said they also do pre-event styling so if you have an event where you want your hair to look a little nicer, you can schedule with them starting at $45+. But I left feeling confident and ready to go out even just with the cut I received In total we paid $65 for two haircuts (no washing, just trim and styling) which is a steal in my opinion! They do men's and children's haircuts as well, we saw a variety of patrons on a Saturday. Overall, I highly recommend Modern Beauty for their outstanding service and prices!

The work was rushed, messy, and uneven from the start. She didn't properly clean my nails before applying gel--no alcohol wipe or hand rinse--so there was dust and fuzz trapped under the design. She even placed gel on a used buffing block, which felt really unsanitary. The final result was bumpy, with thick, overflowing product around my cuticles. When I spoke up, her attitude completely changed and she became rude and dismissive. She refused to fix them, wouldn't offer removal, and still charged me $50 for a set she claimed was worth $115. Overall, very disappointing. The quality of work and the way the situation was handled were both unacceptable, and the photos they use feel very misleading.

She explained her plan and kept my expectations realistic while still managing to get my hair back to a presentable color for graduation. I've been seeing Michelle now for 4 years and I still recommend her to anyone who regularly colors their hair. She has a talent that is far and few between from understanding the chemistry behind color and maintaining healthy hair to communicating clearly what your expectations are and what can be achieved.
