I came in today, 6/4/26 at 3pm, and I always go here to get my eyebrows done and they always did it well. I never had a designated person that does my eyebrows because they always did it well. Today, someone else did my brows and I don't recall them ever doing mine but I had high expectations since everyone who work(ed) here were good. But this lady messed up my eyebrows. The owner of this business is also the makeup artist of @RoyalBlushStudio ig account. I contacted Harpreet via email and she told me that she was available to do my make up for my engagement party in August 2022. She went over pricing, I signed the contract, and sent my $900 deposit via Venmo. She was charging me $1000 for my makeup & hair, $500 for 2 other family members, & $300 for travel. Total $1800!! Everything was finalized and going great. When I messaged her to go over what I wanted, she responded back later on that she has a family event and that she can no longer be my artist & offered another makeup artist that I had no intention of hiring. Per our contract she has a section for Liability Terms, where Harpreet and Aman clearly state: Artist shall perform the Services promptly on the date and time agreed. What's the point of having a contract, Harpreet? If you're just gonna flake. I am only a few weeks away from my engagement and she has added so much unnecessary stress. Don't go with this artist. Where do I start?! These are the same MUAs with IG account @royalblushstudio I sent a message via IG to Aman and Preet to reserve for makeup and hair service for my brother's reception for my 2 sisters and I. I was told the price $250/person and travel $125. One of my sisters needed hair only, so it was $125. We were fine with the charges and finalized the contract. I received a message from Preet 4 weeks before the event to finalize the time. It was finalized. 2 1/2 weeks before the event, I received a message from preet telling me that we will need to travel to her for the services. When I questioned the sudden change and reviewed the terms of the contract, she told me that I didn't pay enough deposit for her to travel to us. What?! I paid per our agreed terms. Therefore, I called Aman at the Salon (looking for Preet because she wouldn't respond to my messages) and questioned the change and explained the inconvenience for us sisters. She was very gracious and told me to reach out to Preet again and stated that she will discuss the contract with her as well. Meanwhile, I sent the contract terms to Preet and still didn't receive a response. The week of the wedding I received a message from Hailey to confirm the reservation and address. I provided the information and emphasized that we have services reserved with Preet. Then I received message from Preet 3 days before the event to confirm the address. The level of unprofessional is apparent at this point. But this is just the start. On the day of the event, Preet and Hailey arrived at the confirmed time. I asked if they had time to do my cousin's hair and my daughter's hair. They confirmed and agreed to extend their services. While they were setting up, my mom walked in and started directing them of what they could use and what not ( rightfully so because it's her house, not their salon). Also, my mother has had her property damaged in the past by a MUA. Preet was rude while replying to my mother. I intervened and explained my mom's past experience and also that she speaks loud because she has hearing aides. My sister was first to get hair/makeup. After she was done, her dissatisfaction was apparent. She came to Preet while she was applying makeup on me to request some changes in her updo. Preet dismissed her, which intensified the dissatisfaction for my sister. (Preet later asked if her sister was still not happy, she could help. At this point, my sister refused to even talk to her because of her rude behavior at the first encounter). After I was done, Preet quickly did my daughter's hair and as I was doing her makeup, she volunteered and took over to do that as well. The worst part is when my younger sister came to get her hair done. In summary, Preet didn't even touch her hair, and kept directing Hailey (as if teaching her) to do the hair which was not what my sister asked for. Why? Because she was busy eating, drinking tea and scanning her phone for the next clients ( I feel sorry for them). My sister was in tears when she saw her hairdo. As an artist, Preet didn't even acknowledge it and My sisters hair were flat within an hour and she had to redo her hair for the event and spent most of the night fixing her hair for pictures. As Preet was leaving I inquired about the total to pay. Preet said that it was okay to pay after the event. After the event, I sent a message to Preet asking for the total so I could pay off the balance. She sent me the total. I sent the info to my sisters. Everything was paid. My sister paid for hair/makeup. I paid for my hair/makeup and $125 for my daughter. My other sister paid for her hairdo even though she should have not paid anything. I told Preet how dissatisfied my sister was and asked her to reach out to her to discuss the situation before she accepts the payment. Preet sent me a message that "this is not how it works". What do you mean?! You didn't provide the service, you used my sister as a model to teach your so called "helper" for her brother's main event! I ignored her and decided for my sister to deal with the situation. The next day (mind you, the payment was already made), Preet started to call me and text me to pay for all the services and send a screenshot or she would "take an action" At this point, I lost it! Why are you texting me when everything is already paid for! Then, instead of apologizing for the pathetic hairdo and taking responsibility of the shitty service, she started accusing my sister of wanting free service, as her niece ( my daughter). How is it "free" when I paid $125! The fact that she assumed that we hadn't paid for the services and the insane amount of text messages shows how disgusting and unprofessional she is! I was appalled by her disgusting use of words and accusations that I cannot fathom how this person is in business and why out of all the wonderful, talented and gracious MUAs, I chose her! read more

She rushed through my brows and when I pointed out she made one thicker and one thinner, she started to brush the thin one out to make it "thicker" and says "see better." This place has been my go to for a while. The shop is cute and always really clean. I never make appointments because the lines are usually short and all the people I've seen have been good (most of the time it has been Preet or Haley and they are awesome). The most recent time I went was just today (5/27/2021), I was seen right away by someone I've never had before (maybe she's new, wish I caught her name). Everyone else when they do my brows, tells me what to do (hold your brows, turn your head, put your hand down, etc.), but she would just push my hand down and move my head herself (not so gently either). The overall shape is good (it has been every time I go here, which is why I'm a returning customer), but during the quick appointment, again, she was not very delicate, pushed really hard into my skin, with both the thread and the trimming scissors, and now I have cuts on my face (will attach pictures from ~30 mins after and then later that night). I honestly could feel it burning when she applied the cooling gel, but I just paid and left because I had somewhere to be and it's not like anything could be done about the cuts by then. They were already there. Obviously not gonna dock a bunch of stars because of one bad experience, because again all my other experiences have been good to great, so 4/5 because of this walk in. If I could give this lady negative I would...I reached out to Preet 3 months before a big wedding in my family...she agreed to do my MILs (mother-in- law) make up and hair my little daughters hair (7years old) and my make up and hair. She was super expensive ($200 for me and $200 for my MIL and $100 for just my daughter hair) what a rip off. Shame on her for charging an arm and a leg on just hair for a little girl. She asked me for a deposit. Everytime I tried to reach out to her she was too busy to talk to me. She never even gave me her Venmo name so I can do a deposit. I asked her multiple times. She was very rude to me. I had a newborn at the time and do not have time to chase someone who didn't give a sh*t. Needless to say, I didn't end up going to her. I got my make up done by someone who didn't overcharge and she did a amazing job and treated me like a human being not like an animal. If you are not the bride to be getting hair and make up done she will not care for your business and it shows. So, if you like to be disrespected and chase someone and want to pay your arms and legs then go to Preet, I highly recommend her for that. She purposefully wouldn't respond to me because she wasn't going to make the same amount of money as she would have with a bride. I went here as my first time professionally getting my eyebrows cleaned up ever. As far as threading goes, it's a little painful, but the experience is quick (~5 minutes or less!) and the result is nice. This was my second visit and I had Preet do my brows again. She was fast, but not sure if she was rushing through because I ended up with cuts today. She didn't offer aloe to me like my first visit either. Aside from that, my brows turned out pretty well. The saying "Eyebrows are sisters, not twins" could NOT be applied to me. My eyebrows couldn't even be described as cousins. My eyebrows are more like friends that used to be close in high school but found out their friendship was founded on the fact that they had the same 7th period together, and now they text each other "happy birthday" once a year. Anyway, most threading places wreak havoc on my brows, and I just correct it with makeup. (Thank God for Anastasia Dipbrow!) But I decided to swing by here right after I hit the gym and Hailey was my brow savior. She didn't press up on my eyeballs, she didn't cut my skin with the thread, she didn't force me to put aloe gel or anything else on my skin, which is huge for my breakout prone skin. I like this place. I wish I knew the ladies by name. They are easy to talk to. There isn't a great language barrier. I am bilingual in Spanish and English, when I don't understand something in either language I ask for clarity... I don't just nod politely and proceed with a service if I am unsure. That doesn't happen here. You get clear communication which is necessary when you are trying to reshape or grow your eyebrows. That's key! I can't say I've had a single bad experience here and I've been coming for a year. The price points are good. They accept major credit cards. I've been coming to location ever since 2014 and at first, I loved coming here to get my eyebrows threaded. I recommended this place to so many people throughout the years BUT since the beginning of this year, their threading techniques seems to get just worse and worse. About four months ago, I came in to get my eyebrows cleaned up. They made it too thin. I thought "hm, maybe it's because I tried a brand new person this time around so I'll just let it slide." A month later I come in to get it cleaned up again, and they completely made my eyebrows uneven and thin again so since then I've been growing out my eyebrows. My friend that I introduced to Preet also loved coming here until her last visit, which made her eyebrows extremely uneven. She brought it up to the employee and she said "you can just fill it in" What kind of response it that?! Okay, sooo today I came in with my little sister to get her eyebrows cleaned up as well and they made her eyebrows thinner and uneven as well. I used to love this location. I'm giving them 3/5 stars because I have been there 20+ times and was always satisfied with how my brows turned out. Recently, my go to girl wasn't working and I had horrible experiences. The first time I left with my brows looking like they were from different countries. I've come here twice for eyebrow threading. It will look packed inside, but it's because everyone is waiting for Preet. I just went with whoever was available. My first time was a good experience. The lady who threaded my brows did not make me bleed like how some other places have. She cleaned up my browns and didn't take too much off. She didn't talk much but she ask if I wanted cooling gel afterwards, which I said I would like. She threaded my brows in less than 5 minutes. The price is $9 I believe for the brows alone. My second time was with a different lady. I went back because I had a special occasion to go to. It was only two weeks after I threaded my brows. I informed her because I just wanted her to clean up the hairs that have grown in. She talked with me and was really precise with the threading and getting the hairs that she wanted. Although, I felt like she took more hair than I wanted and made my brows thinner than usual. She didn't make me bleed though, which I appreciate.
