Eye brow threading review: the best thing to do is make an appointment to make sure you get preet. She is amazing and so is her sister (owner at different location) but they are super busy and it's really hard to walk in and get them. Prices went up as like everything In sac lol I haven't gone here in years because I moved and recently came back, $13 plus tip but it's not worth it if you get one of their workers. Had a bad experience before too a long time ago with a different lady. Waited for almost 45 mins bc there was just one person threading on a Sunday, my turn was skipped. Not because of the threader(sorry forgot her name) but the customer just sat down herself without waiting for the lady to call on who's next.. I finally got mines done but was disappointed. It was uneven and not clean so I asked her to fix.. but after fixing it didn't do much. So I just said it was ok and paid. Pretty disappointed. I just ended up going home tweezing my brows to make it even and clean... She just doesn't know how to shape them like preet or Aman does... So would i recommend this place? Absolutely if you plan and make an appointment with the right girls.. but be warned if you're a walk in and get someone random. NOTE: This review is not about the threading or make up services. It is solely about the level of customer service provided by Preet. My family members and I needed our make up done for an upcoming wedding and I had called Preet to book an appointment. I was told to send her a text message instead which I did on the same day itself. She never responded and hence my cousin called her and she was told to send a text as well. She never responded and finally I texted again and Preet responded to me. I informed her about the services that we needed and for how many people. She told me the prices and range of services that she offered. I told her what I wanted and the date and time as well. She saw my text and acknowledged it. This was in early May. I texted her again today in July just to check what time the make up lady was coming, and Preet sends me a text saying that she is fully booked. At which point I screen shot the texts that we had sent back and forth and the May date which showed when we had our conversation. She gives me a call letting me know that she needed us to come into our salon and put down the deposit and sign a contract for us to be confirmed. She had not told me any of this via text. She said that people always call her but when we called her twice she told us to send her a text. Had I known that we need to sign a contract I would've done that right away. When I pointed that out to her, she told me that there is nothing that she could do to help me. There was no apology or accountability whatsoever. I understand that she might be busy but then hire someone to handle your messages. I cannot stand such unprofessionalism and she might be good at what she does but I wish she would save some of her skills for her customer service because she gets a zero in that department. This place is possibly the worst eyebrow threading place that I have ever been to. I wish I could rate it a zero. The people are not friendly or professional. I went in to get my eyebrows threaded and I actually had to stop very soon after the lady began to do my eyebrows because she pulled out a huge portion of my eyelashes!!! It was excruciating so I had to stop her and I left. Please don't risk the health of your eyes to this place! Let's start from the beginning though, when I came in, I wanted to get my eyebrows done and as I was trying to explain it to the lady she just kept shaking her head from right to left but she said 'Yes, okay' and immediately she started to just pluck away at my eyebrows. She was obviously in a rush. Within a minute of starting she runs the thread across my EYELASHES and pulls out about half of my eyelashes!!! The pain was horrible! My eyes started to water and it was so painful I asked her to stop and I left. My friend and I decided to get our brows threaded today and wanted to give this place a try. When we first walked in, we were greeted right away and was asked to sign in. We only had to wait 5 minutes and Theresa was the one who threaded our brows. I was up first and I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She told me she will clean up my eyebrows first and see how I like them, then shape my brows to my liking. I told her it's been a while since I last got my brows threaded and I looked a bit nervous and she said "It will be okay! It won't hurt that much!" As she was threading, she kept asking me "Are you okay, hun?" which I thought was very nice. After she was done, she showed me the results and I must say, they looked pretty nice. My friend went through the same process and she threaded his eyebrows so clean and so nice! While she was working on his brows, I kept staring at mine and I felt like it was a bit uneven, so when she was done with his brows, I told her that I felt like they looked a bit uneven and she fixed it up for me. Our total came up to be $18, so $9 per person, which is a reasonable price for such nice results. I recommend Theresa. She's willing to work with you and takes her time on each and everyone's eyebrows. I will definitely come here again for her. read more

Preet did a horrible job on my eyebrows. Not only did she make them uneven in length, but she also made one higher than the other. Then she blamed it on my eyebrows not being even in length naturally. Which is not true and shows how unprofessional she is. I used to go to the eyebrow threading in the CRC plaza but it was so inconsistent I decided to come to this place instead. I remember taking my sister here because I was too lazy to wax her eyebrows myself and I thought after she got them done, "wow they did a great job." My eyebrows are inconsistent and some hairs are missing in certain places, it's terrible. So I've decided to get them threaded. The three times I've been here it's been very consistent. My eyebrows were really nice. She outlined it very nicely. If that makes any sense. Like she gave it a shape and she left room so that the hairs can grow and fill the bald/missing spots. The last two times I went. She asked me if I fill in my eyebrows. I said of course I do, I mean who doesn't nowadays. So she just made it so thin. And today it looked the same as the last time. I'm not bummed out but some days when I'm too lazy to fill them in, I want them to look somewhat nice to look at. Everyone's very nice. But it would be nice if they would look at the book after telling you to sign in because when it's pact, they'll just say next. I mean what's the point of telling us to sign in if you're not going to call your name in order. I almost got skipped a few times I've been here. I've been going to the place in Arden Mall, which I really like, but this spot is much closer to home. I've been here once and was satisfied with them squeezing me in first thing the next morning. The person who booked my appointment said to show up just about 10 minutes before opening to get it done, but no one came to open up the shop until right at or just a few minutes after 10 a.m. I didn't get the name of the lady who did my brows, but she was nice and quick. I've been to a couple eyebrow threading places and Preet is my go to. I've never been disappointed by her work and she always makes sure you're satisfied with the job she's done. The best times to see Preet for walk ins are Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. My first time coming here I loved my brows they were kept thick and nicely, the lady who did it was younger and her name wasn't preet. Today I decide to use preet. At first I thought it was nice, but then I come home to realize my brows aren't even, and they've gotten even more thin. I should've stuck with what I knew. When me and my mom went to pay her, then she asked us to pay her $120 per event each day . We paid her full amount that she asked for. But WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK TO HER SALON AGAIN. I had another bad experience here and will not be coming back. I gave this place a couple of tries because I thought that I just had the bad technician or something. But 3 bad experiences are enough. I will not be back. So the issue is they only have one or two good ladies here. Unless Preet is available, which is never. I haven't even had the pleasure of meeting her either. One time I was already waiting forever and the girl said to someone who asked for Preet that she is here but busy with some paperwork as they do weddings too now. I'm thinking don't you want to keep your customers happy and if it is so busy then you don't hide in the back you should come out and help. I found out that they've another threading place in south Sacramento so it must be hectic maintaining 2 threading places plus a wedding business. Maybe they should only do one business and make sure that it runs really well and they keep their existing customers satisfied rather than running after just making more money?! Normally they only have some Aunties doing a bad job not even listening to how or what you want done with your eyebrows and making the threading painful too. This is really the only place where I get my eyebrows done. I've been going here for three years, and I've been very pleased with their service! This would get another star, but I've always gotten the best service from Preet. The other workers who thread eyebrows have either not really listened to what I wanted or it just hurt like crazy. Preet makes sure I'm taken care of especially with what I need. She makes sure the threading process doesn't hurt as much, especially with my first time coming over here. My sister and I love her! She always teaches/fills in my sister's brows, and the other workers watch Preet do it. Preet offers aloe at the end when your eyebrows are done being threaded as well as the other workers. I believe it's $9 for your eyebrows to be threaded? Maybe. I really recommend this place but my tip to you is to ask for Preet. Get those eyebrows on point. read more

Went in on Friday afternoon, little after 6pm...I was told a 5 minute wait; which really was a 10 minute wait. It was 3 people ahead of me. Once seated, the lady (sorry I didn't get her name) listened to my concerns and was able to clean-up my brows. I asked her what I should use on my brows to have them grow in because I want them to be a thicker. She recommended olive, coconut and castor oil; however coconut is what she uses. This was my first time trying out threading. A little scared at first but it wasn't bad at all. I had Preet thread my eyebrows, and it came out nice! I came in with bushy crooked eyebrows,one side is always higher than the other. And she evened it out pretty close enough. HONESTLY TERRIBLE. I went in yesterday and told the lady (older woman) that I had Senior portraits the next day, and the please be extra careful. I asked her not to make them too think and just clean up and keep my natural shape. SHE DID THE EXACT OPPOSITE and worse they came out uneven. One brow is higher than the other. I could tell she had messed up when she got to my second brow because she took 3 times as long. I had to cancel by pictures and now need to grow my brows out completely all over again. I have been going to this place in down town plaza for my threading my lips. it was fine...The person did the job fine..but I didn't know that there could be much of a difference ...until I came to Preet at Hair Obsessions... Amazing work. Why? Well I had my upper lip threaded and I swear...She was done before I could finish my thought! about 30-45 seconds for my upper lips...and only $6! !! Wish I caught her name but I came in Thursday 30 November 2017 and this is probably the last time I will be going to this location. I feel like every time I come to this specific location I am not happy. Maybe it's the time I came in because obviously everyone else seems to love this place but by certain people. It was around 530, and once she came to the end of my service I checked my eyebrows and she corrected me on how I wanted the shape to be. So I took it and said nothing. Paid $18 for eyebrows and lip service. Got home. Realized my upper lip and lower lip sections still have certain spots with hairs still on them. Never coming back to this location.
