just now New I went here last week for a full gel x set. I was a walk in, so I didn't expect the best service. A man, who I assume is the owner or manager did my nails. While gel x tips were used, they were glued on with regular nail glue. Brush on gel was used as an overlay instead of the normal hard gel. Yes I should have said something, but we all know how awkward that can be. The nails looked acceptable at the time. The price on their menu posted on the wall for a gel set was $55 or $65, I can't remember exactly. But at the end of my service I was charged $95. I did get cat eye polish, which I know can be an up charge, but that much more? Insanity. My nails lifted and started popping off a week later. Which is insane to me. I usually go three weeks inbetween fills for gel x sets. I'm going there on Monday to try and get a refund of some sorts. Will adjust this review accordingly. read more

Healing Nails definitely deserves five stars. The salon is clean, calm, and has a really relaxing atmosphere the second you walk in. The staff is welcoming, sweet, and professional, and they take their time without rushing you through the appointment. My nails came out perfect every time. Super neat, great shape, and exactly what I asked for. They pay attention to detail here, which makes a big difference. The massage at the end was a nice touch too and I've never gone anywhere else after that overall, it's just a really comfortable, well we're on place with consistently great & warm service. I'm taking my daughter here when I come back and I'm so excited! Highly recommend this place if you want your nails done right and want to leave feeling relaxed. read more

What a beautiful establishment. Stopped in for a Shea butter pedicure for me and my friend. This place certainly did NOT disappoint. Everyone is incredibly friendly and dedicated to ensuring quality care and satisfaction. I came in, knowing they welcome walk-ins. The salon was a bit busy/crowded but I was not in a rush, so I didn't mind waiting the 10-20 mins. After some time, I was seated for my pedicure and picked out a color for my nails off the wall. Once seated, I took my shoes off, stored away my jacket and socks, and the massage chair began pounding on my lower back. Mmm, delightful! After 10-20mins., the pedicure began. First - cream was applied to my legs, then wrapped. Then my feet took a plunge into a warm bath of water. Every so often there would be more cream, massage, soak, Shea butter, and so forth. My cuticles were clipped, as were my toenails. Everything felt amazing. Then the hot rocks! Woah. Amazing! The woman taking care of me was so polite and caring. She scrubbed my feet, made sure my polish was tidy, and gave me a nice back rub at the drying station. She was an absolute doll and I now I know why my mother & sister always come back. Clean place! Bathroom available and many services. Pedicures, manicures, massages, waxing, eyebrow/eyelash tint(s), and other cosmetic procedures. Definitely worth the money for a relaxing afternoon! I was expecting a lot more based on the reviews. I asked for almond shaped nails and got...I don't even know. Some were round, some were oval. They were SO thick that they looked like bubbles and the cuticle was flooded on most of them. I don't think I've ever had a worse powder gel manicure. They were lumpy, uneven and embarrassing. If it were one or two I would've asked for them to be fixed but clearly the woman doing my nails didn't know what she was doing. The clear polish was super thick and gloopy like it was old or left open and I think that was half the problem. The pedicure was okay. The options are more limited compared to other places. Yesterday was the first time I walked into Healing Nails & I was like extremely impressed with the customer service & the amazing job Julie + her team did on my nails! I was looking for a nail place in Riverhead as I was waiting for my hair appointment, and found this gem on yelp. After reading all the positive reviews I went there to check it out for myself and i was so impressed with the customer service & Job they did that I'll definitely be back again! SANITATION & CLEANLINESS & COVID-19 AWARENESS IS ON POINT HERE . they gave me hand sanitizer, they checked my temperature, they cleaned off all the seats and stuff I would be using. I really appreciate the care they had to make sure customers felt safe and comfortable. 1) PARKING IN THE REAR! This place is easy to find and they have a lot of parking in the back. So did not fear! I always get anxious as a newbie to NY about tryna find parking but here you are GOOD! No parallel parking skills are required. 2) THEY ACCEPT WALKINs! I showed up at 4:30 on a Friday, they were quite busy but were able to accommodate me in about 20 minutes which was super nice and that was enough time for me to figure out what color i wanted to go with. 3) JULIE TOOK CARE OF MY CUTICLES & ANY NAIL PATRON KNOWS THAT IS KEY! She made sure to pay attention as to not scrub off my nail bed and it was a painless experience! I appreciate that SO MUCH. She asked me many questions along the way to make sure that I got exactly what I wanted. (Length, shape, she checked both hands simultaneously to make sure they were even. She got my stamp of approval) . I even told Her to surprise me with my 4th finger design and SHE SLAYEDDDD. 4) GET THE GEL PEDI, IT WAS SO WORTH IT TREAT YOSELF & THE MASSAGE CHAIR WAS AMAZING! omg so the ultimately highlight was getting my gel Pedi. I was so happy with how the lady massaged My legs, put multiple creams, scrubs, warm stuff on my feet! It was so nice after a long day of working. A long overdue update. The primary reason I'm lowering my rating is customer service. I think they have good customer service overall and most of them are friendly and courteous except for Alex. I highly recommend avoiding Alex if you would like to get a good service. This girl has lack of attention and lack of customer service. This happened to both me and my mom in two different occasions. Alex would constantly look at the clock which I think is very disrespectful towards the customer and she clearly seemed to rush the service. I cannot even begin to explain how clumsy she is! Once I went for a manicure where she would buff off my skin while chit chatting with another girl. I had to stop her quite a few times to let her know that she was hurting me. I was in so much pain! I remember saying "ouch! Ouch! You're hurting me", quite a few times but she would go on about her chit chatting with the other girl. That time I left without giving her a tip because I expect quality service when I pay for a service. Next, she did the same with my mom. My mom hated her experience. This girl Alex apparently did not listen to my mom as my mom requested her callus removed properly. Alex continued to mention that she would attend to it but didn't to do a good job. Alex gave my mom an attitude just like she does with me. I had to complain to Jay and he apologized and offered a free pedicure for my mom. Months later, I forgot to mention the nail tech I wanted and I ended up with this clumsy girl Alex. She would make the water extremely hot that felt like my skin was melting off so I told her to make it cooler a little bit. She would put a frustrated face and gestures that I felt extremely uncomfortable. At this point I decided to never return to this salon. A back massage is part of the spa pedicure and this girl would hit my back and push me as to take revenge. I am being nice giving them just 3 stars and that is for the nice courteous Korean ladies and Jay who work there. I recommend this place but try to avoid this clumsy girl Alex with zero customer service. I see this attitude from other Hispanics who work here as well. Avoid bookings with the Hispanic staff and you will have a great experience with the Korean staff for sure. Jay and the rest of the staff are very nice and courteous. read more

This has become my local spot for a pedicure and waxing.They are always so pleasant and greet you with a smile. I like that they take walk-Ins because I can never seem to stay on track for an appointment. The spa pedicure is worth every dollar ($40) it usually is about an hour it includes a deep scrubbing of your legs and feet followed by callous removal and then an incredible massage. They use hot rocks !! My favorite part of the massage. These girls really work hard and the consistency in staffing is appreciated. They have many return clients you are able to purchase a $5 personal box with your nail tools to keep there for the girls to use. I recommend this spot to everyone in my area. My mother-in-law introduced me to this place. It definitely seems like it has its dedicated patrons. I feel like I'm now one of them since this is the only place where I have asked to have a box. It has very friendly staff and what I would say is a country cute decor. You have to see it in person to understand. I'm really into pedicures and I LOVE the green tea pedicure for $45.00. I love getting one at least once a month to work away all my stress away. I also really love this place because they give you a complementary back massage as your nails are drying. This place is amazing. I moved away from this area and every time I go back to visit I get a pedi. This is the best place hands down. The place is clean and well kept. They use the bags around the tub which I love. If you ask for your own box they will gladly keep all of your stuff only used on you in box on the wall. We did this immediately. They are always sure to ask before your pedicure starts which is awesome... because I forget. Pedicures are all amazing, I'm quite partial to the Shea butter pedicure. The work these ladies do on your legs is just the best. Pure relaxation. Leg scrubs, lengthy massage, making sure your feet are at their best. Price on the wall shows tips with acrylic priced at $55. I made it clear what I wanted when I sat down. I wanted an acrylic full set. French. Mind you they have forever French and that's using gel (not acrylic) for $70 listed just for comparison. Well when he was done he had the nerve to tell me my nails cost $85. Thats with him painting it on AND me being there for 2.5 hours. Only had a full set done, nothing else. My appointment was at 12:30 and I left at 3. The woman next to him did two people in the time that he took to do my set. He also painted them the wrong color first and had to file an entire nail off. I have spent a-lot of money here over the years. I had gotten the same nails done there once before and they charged me 65 and I was still upset at the price discrepancy but I just paid that time. But this time I wasn't going to let them just make up prices and in my opinion try and pocket larger tips. So when I asked how possibly it could be the price he couldn't explain it to me? He said something about its $45 plus 10 for this 10 for that. Listen. I got a plain acrylic set. If you want to spend $85 to get your nails done and then wait almost 3 hours this is the place to go. He also actually had the audacity to say "no tip?" When I was leaving. I heard good things about this place but was very disappointed with my experience. I got a manicure and pedicure. The way my nails were filed both on my hands and toes were terrible. It was neither square or round, it was just an uneven mess. I can't wait for them to grow out so I can file them normally again. My pedicure looked terrible within about two days when normal pedicures last me for weeks. The polish on my manicure started cracking the next day. My cuticles also looked dry and messy the next day like as if I never even had my nails done. Truly a shame. I will not be going back here again.
