Perfect for a quick drink. While the martini tasted good, I was still sad there were ice shards in it. I know it might be weird that I'm sad there were ice shards in it but the perfect martini has no ice shards, isn't cloudy, should be served in a chilled glass, & is smooth tasting. Once the ice shard melted, it was a delicious martini. Slightly watered down because of the ice but still delicious. Service was efficient. Can get a bit loud & is a good meeting place for drinks. Would return.

Headwaters is the bar located inside the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. Since the Rosen Shingle Creek is indeed a resort (and kind of in the middle of nowhere, in terms of other Orlando attractions), if you're looking for a beverage or to watch a game, Headwaters is your place. I came here with a colleague on a Sunday. This place "works" because: + multiple TVs for sports games + staff easily obliges to change the TVs to the specific games you want + decent beer selection. between five - eight beers on tap, including Yuengling. I haven't had that since uni in the northeast. They have a specific pale ale brewed for Rosen properties, too. + bar seating or high tables. Go in the entrance, turn right, and you'll see Headwaters on the left hand side across from Tobias Flats.

    Enjoying our dinner!!!

Good snacks and drinks. Basic bar in an resort hotel...kinda pricey, but that's what we expected!

The service is efficient, the food and drink specials for Happy Hour from 5-8pm are excellent and you can easily walk to your event. The Lounge is relaxed and not crowded as other locations in this area, especially before a performance or a Magic game. (Both were going on the night we stopped in.) Last year, Yelp held its annual award event here. I ended up meeting a couple that was in the lounge area that were going to Dr. Phillips later that night. We struck up a conversation-they asked what this big Yelp group was about, and I provided the details. They said they always come to the WXYZ Lounge before a performance arts event as this place is not crowded and the food is quite good. I remembered this conversation when a friend and I attended a recent event at Dr. Phillips. As luck would have it, Woody and Kim were in the Lounge when we walked in Friday night! I introduced them to my guest and thanked them for their recommendation. We then went to sit at the bar. First off, LeBeth was our main bartender, and she was excellent. We remembered each other from the Yelp event. We ordered two of the featured cocktails, Waterloo Rose Pedals (gin) and Svedka String Winder (vodka). My friend asked if the vodka drink was sweet and LaBeth stated she could add more lemon to her cocktail to counterbalance the sweetness. Both drinks were excellent, and although I liked my gin drink, I switched to the vodka drink for my second one after I had a taste of my friend's drink. A shout-out also to the "bartender in training", Jeffrey, who assisted us. The food was also amazing. We first ordered from the Small Bites menu. The Buffalo Cauliflower floret bites were lightly breaded and soft, with Bleu Cheese crumbles, and the buffalo dressing was provided on the side. Very tasty! The Veggie Eggrolls with the sweet Red Chili sauce was also a big hit. We then added a Chicken Caesar salad and the Fish Tacos from the Big Bites menu to also share. The salad was a good size, served in a large round, flat bowl, with the Caesar dressing on the side. The Fish Tacos were very FULL tacos, and the combination of the spicy sauce and the sweet and tangy coleslaw complimented each other well. We both agreed these were some of the best fish tacos we have tasted! Overall, a great place to stop in for Happy Hour and it is THE PERFECT stop before an event at the Dr. Phillips Performance Center.

We specifically chose this hotel because of the close proximity to SeaWorld/Discovery Cove/Aquatica…read moretheme parks. Even though they are somewhat within walking distance, since we have a toddler with us, we confirmed that they provide shuttle services. On the first day that we landed, we Uber to SeaWorld since shuttle is not available at that time but we made sure to note the returning shuttle time.. We ended up waiting over 20 minutes for the shuttle and had to Uber back since the hotel could not confirm if the shuttle was coming. This is not really the hotel's fault since the shuttle is third party. On the third day going to Aquatica, we took the shuttle there which was on time but forgot the return time so I called the hotel's front desk and was told the earliest pick up time was at 3:40pm. We went to the pick up area at 3:30pm and waited until 4:10pm. My wife called again to confirm and was told once again that there is a 3:40pm pick up time and the next one will be at 4:40pm. Once again we had to Uber back to the hotel since we waited over 40 minutes. I checked the schedule once we got back and there was no 3:40pm pick up time so we wasted so much time waiting with a toddler for no reason. The room was spacious but had a wet smell and feel to it. The cleaning staff also left a dirty cleaning rag on the table after room service. We came back that evening and saw it. Overall the staff were friendly but I will not be returning to this hotel as it did not provide the convenience that I wanted.

I stood at the hostess podium for a few moments while the hostesses talked amongst themselves at the other end of the restaurant. One made eye contact with me and then continued her conversation. A different hostess came in from out side and came over to help me out. I sat at the bar and started browsing the menu. Shortly after the bartender, Mason came over and asked if he could get me anything. I ordered an Adult Juice Box as I continued to look at their offerings. The restaurant had an open concept with large glass doors that were open to the pool deck, they also had out side tables that you could opt to sit at, with the kitchen opposite of the bar. I started with the Pinchos Shrimp & Barbados Wings. Both were DELICOUS! Mason was extremely attentive and friendly - he continually checked on everyone at the bar & assisted guests at the walk up window that was pool side. Mason ensured that everyone seated at the bar was topped off on their drinks may it be a cocktail or just water, he ensured our glasses were filled. I ordered another Adult Juice Box and the Jerk Chicken & Mango Salad. Everything was so delicious, and the service from Mason was great. Though my first impression when walking in was to be ignored by the staff much like my previous night at another hotel restaurant - Mason turned my experience around. So thanks, Mason you are a gem and they are lucky to have you!

It rained hard one day and the entire place had buckets everywhere! The automatic doors were leaking through the tops. There were tons of towels on the floor to catch all of the water so people wouldn't slip and fall. From the eighth floor I could see an area on the second floor that looked like a meeting room. I could see the ceiling had fallen in! Then of course there were big trash cans catching the water here and there. They definitely need to do some work on the building! The room was very nice. Very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The AC worked great. We're Titanium members. We can get a free breakfast or free drinks, and/or points. We were given some free drinks vouchers. There's a bar downstairs. But not once, in the three days we were there, did we ever see the bar open! We also never saw the other restaurant open. Only the grab and go, or the breakfast place, Tradewinds. We had breakfast at The Tradewinds. It's nice. The breakfast is good. We didn't do the buffet because we really don't eat that much for breakfast. So it wasn't worth the $37 pp when we were only eating eggs, toast and coffee. The waitress, Ana, was great! She waited on us every morning. She runs around taking care of everything! She's a real gem! The prices are reasonable. I would stay here again.

Renaissance is located literally…read moredirectly across the street from the SeaWorld park, so if you're going there it makes a ton of sense to stay here. Otherwise, it's not in the best location for an Orlando stay and it's very expensive for what you get. You have to pay for parking each day if you have a car. Also, the hotel overall is super old, it seems like it needed a desperate remodel/ upgrades about 10 years ago. If you see pictures you'll get what I mean. Like, they've maintained it decently in the common areas but the rooms especially are pretty close to feeling run down, and they're just kind of ugly. We stayed here for the convenience of having restaurants and things all right at the hotel. Which didn't turn out to be as convenient as we hoped all the time. Most of the staff was super kind and lovely, but I feel like management was a little sketchy- it seemed like they were afraid of their bosses or something. One night we had wanted pizza, and of course their pizza oven was broken or whatever, so we ordered some to the hotel. We were sitting near the bar area and were told by an employee we couldn't have outside food in that area, so we were essentially kicked out from there for having outside pizza because their own pizza oven was not running... They have a coffee shop as well which is probably the best part. All of the gals who work there are so kind and sweet. There's also a pretty impressive workout suite that doesn't really match the rest of the hotel because it's way nicer lol. And of course there's a pool area as well. Security seems to be tight as my family had 2 rooms here, across the hall from each other so we kept our doors lodged unlocked and at one point security called our room to make sure "we were okay" because our door was unlocked. In one vein I was glad they were trying to be safe and stuff but in the other it felt creepy and almost like a violation that we were being watched that closely. The way the hotel is set up there's a huge courtyard area and all the rooms wrap around that. Our room had a tiny balcony that opened up to the courtyard and it was so loud it sounded like there was a theme park outside of our windows. So if you stay here, try to get a room that faces the actual outside of the hotel, not inside to the courtyard. So yeah, overall it was a fine experience but definitely not the best hotel, from the atmosphere to quality and affordability. Probably wouldn't stay again.

First, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The walls were scuffed and dirty, the phone was filthy, and most concerning -- the tub and bathroom floor looked like they had not been scrubbed at all. I even have photos and videos that show how poorly maintained it was. Out of everything, the tub should be the number one priority when preparing a room, and it clearly was not. On top of that, the amenities didn't work properly. The TV and Bluetooth kept glitching, the Marshall speaker in the room was broken, and the phone wasn't reliable. When I tried to call the front desk -- multiple times over two different days -- no one ever answered. I even tried calling the bar, and no one picked up there either. That is not the kind of service I expect from Aloft. Normally I would have requested a room change right away, but I had a long, stressful travel day and honestly didn't have the energy to deal with it at the time.
