I am always so happy leaving Head 2 Toe. The staff are warm and lovely, and the massage therapists are amazing. I've had foot and body massages in other Atlanta spots, but Head 2 Toe is my favorite. It is super clean, very quiet and relaxing, and so comfortable. I truly feel pampered after my visits. The oils they use smell heavenly and you can ask for as much pressure or as little as you like. I hate getting a massage when I feel like I could have done it myself. They really work to get the knots out and do an amazing job with your sciatic nerve. The massage was amazing. However, the manager lacks professionalism. After my massage, I handed a tip to the massage therapist and started to leave. In front of a crowd of people, he stops checking someone out and yells at me asking if I paid online (it makes you pay to book the appointment so I'm unsure why this was a question). I told him yes, and he responds "well are you going to tip??" I told him I tipped, and the massage therapist told him as well. He then just continued checking someone out. No apology, nothing. I have never experienced such rude customer service. There are too many competitors in ATL to deal with that type of service. I will never be back. read more

I visit Atlanta often and visited another foot massage place, but they were booked for a last minute appointment... best thing that could've happened, because I found Head to Toe. The owner was accommodating and made space for us to come, he was multi-tasking and handling so much but it did not take away from my massage at all. I am going back in a couple days before I leave!!! More info, just in case someone finds it beneficial: I got the "1-hr foot massage", but the name is deceitful- in a good way. It is about 45 min of foot and leg massage that begins with a brief foot bath. It started slow and gentle, but built from there. I have sciatica from a recent auto accident so my legs get tight and my legs felt amazing afterwards. After that is done, they have you turn over and the bed is laid flat. Then, I basically received a full body massage that was legit head to toe. I love a good scalp massage and my neck gets super tight with lots of knots. I would go weekly if I lived here, with zero hesitation. If you are still debating, then you should probably be more kind to yourself because I do not make time reviews and they didn't even ask me to do one, but I sat in the car for a few minutes to quickly write this out, bc I had to share. If you are looking for an excellent deep tissue massage, that is deep but not torturous, for a good value, then look no further! Do not be too nervous when you enter the room and see rails on the ceiling. It is not a torture chamber like I thought. My wife and I went here for a 1 hour massage and were assigned Andy and Lilly. From now on these are our peoples. Andy is off on Wednesday and Lilly is off Tuesday so make sure you tell your muscles to calm down until Thursday-Monday. Both of us were not expecting a great massage at the beginning, because it started off just ok, but after about 5 minutes we both were almost drooling. Not only was did it feel amazing but for someone like me that has degenerative disc disease, the important part is how I feel when I leave. I felt like Jell-o, just so you know. My husband and I had a free afternoon. We had heard from some friends about this foot massage place and decided to try it out. I called ahead to make a reservation. Arrived on time, well as we were arriving at 3:15, our appointment time, I received a call from them asking if we were still coming? I replied, yes we are walking in... We were promptly seated in chairs that are behind a curtain, in front of the shop. It's relatively dim lighting except for when the door is opened. There was some nice spa music playing and it was quiet. They brought out a big wooden tub with hot water to soak our feet. It was very nice. After a few minutes the tub is removed. The foot massage begins. I closed my eyes and wanted to fall asleep. But there is a little bit of traffic that comes in and out of the front door. There is quite a bit of whispering going on as well. I guess figuring who is servicing the next client. There are massage rooms in the back. I was trying to relax but it being the first time there, I am an inquisitive person and I like to know what's going on (aka nosey). Back to the foot massage... it was great!!! It was an hour massage of my feet and calves. Then he came around and lowered the back of my chair. Massaged my scalp and forehead. The asked me to turn over and there was a hole at the top of the chair that I put my face in and he massaged my shoulders and upper back... I had surgery on my lower back last year and was not comfortable having anyone touch that area. I have to say for $40, it was a great experience!!! I mentioned the chatter to my husband and he said he didn't hear anything (he was snoring) ... I think I'm just easily distracted because it was a new experience. I end up trying these places when I'm on the run and it's a last minute decision. At the same time I love upscale places, I also love small mom and pop style places too. Damn. This place is incredible. They actually know the pressure points and use proper amounts of pressure to fully release you muscles! A friend and I called on a whim for same day chair massages and were able to get availability in 10 min. And we both said it's the best chair massage we've ever had. Massage: excellent value. Way better than normal understanding of musculature and methods to release them than any other foot massage place I've been to (disclaimer: I've only been to them in the Bay Area, CA so I don't know if this is indicative of skills at other places in Atlanta). Friendly and direct/to-the-point staff. Parking: easy Privacy: basically none. Like most foot massage places you'll be in a room with other folks. However, no one is paying attention to you so it's all fine. Peacefulness: this is no fancy day spa so you'll hear people talking and the phone getting picked up. No fault of theirs! I think the owners are actual masseuses here so they take great care of their customers. I like that they listen to you and they try very hard to accommodate your needs. I've come here with shoulder and neck pain and always leave feeling better. They're slightly more expensive than the locations on Buford Hwy ($60 for 1 hr body, $40 for 1 hr foot), but they are ITP, in a much nicer location, and they're much cleaner. They have a rewards program where you get a 30 min. body massage after 10 visits. I will come back. read more

Found this hidden gem while on the wait list for a restaurant nearby. Tao does not disappoint! They take walk-ins and have very reasonable prices for foot, head/shoulder, and full body massages. The service levels range from 30 minutes to 60 minutes, but they will probably accommodate longer times. The masseuse was very knowledgeable and used the perfect amount of pressure. I was so relaxed afterwards, I could have dozed off standing up! They have three of the foot massage chairs that share the space with the front entrance. There is a curtain that sections off the reception desk from the massage chairs to offer semi-privacy. The calming music, dim lighting, and running water create a stress relieving environment. Formerly Tao Massage which was a great place. I have attended Head to Toe Massage 3 times. First time went very well. Second time was good. They were having a slight issue with staff that day. The third time was a Couples massage. They do a good job but they kept leaving out in the middle of the massage. People kept coming to the door talking to the Massage Therapist DURING the massage waking us up out of our peaceful disposition. There were at least 4 to 5 times that one of the therapists left the room as he was trying to also run the counter. So he would leave out and leave the door open and we could hear him transacting the next massage while we wait in relaxation limbo. There were at least 4 times where a woman came to the door speaking in another language LOUDLY sounding like she really needed his help. Again, I believe he should have been working the front desk but instead was doing a massage. It felt as if we weren't valuable customers and our patronage was taken for granted. read more
