So I feel like I can finally rate this place after coming here twice. 1st Visit. * I came to Li's for the first time after a super long week at work. It's also close to home & had pretty good reviews. I called and was able to schedule a same day 90 minute full body massage!! (Love the same day service, they're open later than most places, & they also accept walk-ins). * My masseuse was a really tall guy (at least 6 feet). I told him that my upper back and shoulders were killing me and asked for a deep tissue massage. That is exactly what I got!! He applied A LOT of pressure and focused on my specified areas. He also checked on me regularly to make sure that I was ok with the pressure. He did a great job working out all of the kinks. He also used hot rocks during the middle of the massage (I thought this was a plus as I wasn't expecting it) to help loosen up those muscles. I admit, I was sore when leaving, but it was a good sore that was very necessary. * If you're in need of a serious DEEP TISSUE, MUSCLES ACHING massage, then I highly recommend that guy!! 2nd Visit. * On my second visit I really just wanted to relax (no deep tissue stuff, just a relaxing massage). I got the same 90 minute massage and ended up with Penny. She was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I asked for medium pressure and didn't specify any aches or pains. * Penny was great!! I was close to falling asleep so many times!! She literally melted my muscles. She also used the hot rocks (so maybe that's part of the massage). My favorite part had to be the scalp massage and her concentration on my back and feet. I also loved the scents she used on my shoulders & face. I've never considered becoming a regular at a massage place, but now i'll be making regular appointments with Penny!!! Overall * The prices are great!! On both visits I have been able to schedule same day appointments. Parking can be a pain as there are only a few spots in the front of the establishment and it sits on a BUSY street. * They have a punch card!! After 10 visits you get a free foot massage. * Arden's Garden is next door and they play very loud music that can be heard during your massage. I had a terrible crick in my neck that wouldn't go away. I was having trouble driving (couldn't turn head to check blind spots) and sleeping. Constant pain. After a few days, I started looking for massage places. I was in the area and saw this place got food Yelp reviews, so I called and they were able to take me as a walk in for a 90-minute (I was desperate) full-body. The parking lot is a bit of a nightmare, hard to get in and out of. Inside it's very dark, typical for a foot massage place. My massage was terrific. It started with a lot of pressing (not Swedish long strokes) through a towel, which felt great. Consistent with other Asian style massages I've had in Japan and Hong Kong. Then he shifted to a more Swedish approach. I told him about my neck and he really worked it out. He checked in with me often about the pressure level, which I really appreciated. I felt terrific when I left, though my neck still had a lot of stiffness. The next day, though, the painful spasms were gone. Hallelujah! I'll definitely be back. read more

Thinking about going to Li's? Think again. I went to Li's for the first time for a quick 30 minute Swedish massage because my usual place was farther than I could reach at the moment. I have to honestly say this was the worst massage I've ever had. The whole time consisted of pressing and absolutely no massage motions whatsoever. Out of the blue he jumps up on the table with me so I'm thinking *wow he's really about to get into this massage now* but no, all I got instead was his genitals basically rubbing my head as he pressed back and forth on my back - the same way he was when he wasn't on the table. I wasn't sure whether or not to laugh or take offense. Usually when a massage is over I add a little more time - not this time; I was quick to chuck the deuces. Went in with knots all over my back/neck and came out feeling smooth, light, and rejuvenated. I had the deep tissue massage for $60, which avoids putting oil on you. This is great, especially if you still have errands to do all day and you won't leave feeling/looking oily. Aside from Treat Your Feet, this is one of the better massage places that I've been in Atlanta. The entire staff was super pleasant and they offer beverages as you enter. I ordered a 30 minute deep tissue massage for around $40. I know that my muscles were in bad shape but I still left pretty unsatisfied. My back and neck are still full of knots and achy. The masseuse didn't know what she was doing despite the fact that I was asking her not to go too word and " you're hurting my back ". An hour of hell and the end I'm telling the owner that she needs a lot of training before massaging someone else and the owner is telling me " it's okay just tip her more and I'll take care of her " . Absolutely no no no no! We came in today (April 3rd) at 4pm for 4 foot massages. 3 of 4 had pretty good massages. 1 was terrible. Here's why -- The reception area and foot massage area are basically the same room. Sort of distracting with the front door opening, phone ringing, and customers making payment...but whatever...i can get over that. The lady giving my massage was wonderful but halfway through she split to do a full body massage for another client and another person took over...the owner/receptionist. This is where things went south. He took literally 12 phone calls while giving my massage and stopped to greet maybe 6 people. At one point during a phone call, he was rubbing my leg raw and not even realizing it. I was getting so upset but was thinking "ok he will comp it and I can just relax with my friends"....nope....not comped. I left so livid i could scream. I scheduled an appointment for that afternoon, and proceeded to get the 60 minutes foot massage...my litmus test for foot massage places...lets just $24 and an hour later, I was more relaxed and reflexologied than ever before. How do you recover on a Sunday after going out two nights in a row? Li's Massage. Kelly and I came to Li's to get foot massages and left feeling like new people. Li's is located off of Howell Mill, a short drive for Buckhead residents like ourselves. The spa is in a tiny strip mall that doesn't look like much. But as soon as you walk into Lo's, serenity greets you. The staff was helpful and nice. The chairs were really comfortable, and the foot massage was outstanding. We will certainly be making more trips to Li's. That's my word and I'm sticking to it. read more

Love this spot! The prices are very affordable and the staff knows what they're doing. We had the 1hr foot massages for $30 each and halfway thru I wished I had went for the full body massage. I mean she worked the whole foot, ankle, the calf and each individual toe. Then the party moved up to the hip/thigh area and on to the arms, hands, shoulders and neck. My therapist even did a short face massage which was a little off putting since it involved a mystery lotion but I had gotten a whiff of it and knew it was some sort of blend involving coconut oil which is a go to product in my home. Even though they handled us as walk-ins I would definitely call ahead next time because I could tell they had to move some things around to accommodate us and they were so kind I wouldn't want to put them in that position again. PS - Before we got started the gentleman handed me a large washcloth. I had no idea what it was for and he explained you could just put it over your eyes to rest and it signaled 'no small talk.' I LOVE that policy even though my good ole lunch buddy didn't respect my cloth and he yapped away, about sports no less. After reading such great reviews on Yelp, I decided I would try out this massage place when I am in the city of Atlanta for my weekend vacation. I typically get a massage or some type of spa treatment whenever I visit other cities. Initially over the phone they were somewhat courteous and I was able to make an appointment. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that they had another appointment scheduled directly in the middle of my appointment and they wouldn't be able to keep my appointment the entire time. I live nearby and while I pass this place regularly, I never thought of going in because let's face it- massages aren't cheap, and I ain't rich. Well, blessing in disguise- I got in a car accident and insurance is paying for massage therapy (believe it or not, the doctor actually told me to get it!). I immediately wanted to get to feeling better, so at 7pm on a Saturday night, I started looking for a massage. All the obvious places were either booked or closed, and then through Yelp I was reminded of Li's Massage. Open til 10pm every day. Boom. I made a call to their friendly staff and booked an appointment for 8. I got a 1hr full body massage with a 30 min foot massage, for just $70. Holy crap. Everything was great. Their masseuses are very in tune with how the body is connected and works. There was none of the "oh darling, are you here for stress?" junk- just people who are incredibly kind, and incredibly talented at what they do. Within minutes they were able to figure out what I needed, no extraneous chit-chat necessary. Second time I went for a 2 hour massage, which was INTENSE. But I needed it. And the guy who did it, Arthur, was a magical massage genius wizard. And he kept me informed- at one point he let me know that he was about to massage a pressure point on my deltoid because he was trying to release some of my spasming around that area, and he told me that it might be a bit uncomfortable and I might feel some pain extend down my arm when he massaged it. Um... yeah, I felt it. But I needed it, and I am incredibly grateful that he told me beforehand. Last night I got a 30 min massage and despite it being such a quick in-and-out service, it was very thorough and I remember even thinking "am I sure this is only a half hour? It seems too thorough to be only a half hour!" When insurance is no longer covering this, I will definitely be going back. Their prices are unbeatable, especially for the very high quality massage you are getting, the hours are great, the staff is knowledgable and friendly, and basically I love them. OH! And they give you a punch card, and after 10 services you get a free foot massage. Yaaaay!!!! PS: The chiropractor I am seeing also has a massage therapist, and while it would be easier for billing insurance to just go there, I am such a big fan of Li's Massage that I told them I'd prefer to continue going to my local masseuse. My friends and I were a little scared when we pulled up...its looked a little sketchy from the outside but once we got in it was really nice. nicely decorated and they accommodated all four of us for massages with no problem. I had to tell my masseuse several times to be easy with the pressure...and I'm a deep tissue type of girl...for fear he was going to break a rib. He was very apologetic. My friends had a similar experience. I also didn't like them trying to massage my face with a lotion, but as soon as I felt the first touch, I ask them not to do the face and they had no problem changing plans...I say this to say you may want to tell them in advance if you're weird about putting foreign lotions on your face. My mom was in town and we decided to get massages. My local place was closed so I relied on Yelp. While it was a little far from home, the reviews sold me. We were early for our appointment. Since it was a Monday morning I thought we could get started early. Nope, these guys were right on time. Which means they don't cut any clients time short. Mom and I were in separate rooms but side by side. I could hear her when she responded to questions but it wasn't distracting. Overall I felt the openness encouraged quiet. No pressure to feel you have to carry on a conversation. The massage itself was spectacular. The hot stones and hot towels were great. We had a one hour body + half hour foot massage for $70.00 each. Just left Li's massage. I used to come here whenever I worked for n ATL. Don't know what happened but some really rude Masseuse (who's name maybe LiLi... probably lied to me) greeted me with the nastiest attitude. I asked for a deep tissue 90 minutes and she kept asking me what I wanted... then she kept saying how expensive it would be. I told her it was perfect. She kept making very unfriendly faces at me like she was upset and annoyed that I was there. I couldn't image how unsatisfying it would be to get a massage by this woman. Maybe she thought I was trying to get more than a massage. But I honestly came because I used to come here for really affordable 2 years ago. I have met Mr. Li on several occasions. Not anymore I guess. There are a few other places nearby that can easily take the place of this one. i have been getting my massages from mr li on howell milll - lily is who does my regular deep tissue full body massage lily adds hot stones and oil and cleans my body with a warm towel after the massage for 1 hour price $51!! and for 3 years now at times come walk-in. i would give 5 stars my only concerns there is a sign that says no sex!! i make sure i only have a female and i the massage table and towel is clean and new!!only need my back. needs a massage. i agree with one review they make seem unfriendly might be a cultural issue . the first time i went to mr li - the massage lady spoke in chinese = i found lily understands i only want full body back.only. read more

I have been a frequent customer at Li's since it first opened. Everyone there is very polite and always do their best to make sure you are comfortable. However, my experiences over the past few months have been disappointing. The people working there seem to know very little about massage, ranging from just rubbing in lotion to absolute torture. They have also instilled a "one price for cash, one price for credit" policy. There is no issue with the policy itself, but as others have explained there is just one large open area, so the checkout process takes an incredibly long time. Customers get aggravated and confused by the higher credit card fee for their service. I even witnessed an argument and the throwing out of customers. They need to learn to quietly check people out and hire a new well trained staff. read more

Yes, yes, yes. Li's saved me when I woke up with shooting pains in my neck and could barely move my head. They got me in right away and it was one of the best massages I've had. They focused exactly on the areas I needed, and got rid of pain I didn't even realize I had until after. Having written many many foot masasages from all over town, on a whim we tried Li's because of the sign advertising 20% off of all massages. We make an appointment for later that day and all I can say is. "Ahhhhhhhhhh...yeahhh...that feels so goooooood". My lady was able to get as deep as most male masseuses and she knew her refloxology principals as well. A week later I had her for a full body and she was just as good as she was with the feet.
