My most purchased items are jewelry. It was not until recently that I discovered it was a consignment shop. I had quite a few things I wanted to sell and realized I could do it at The Attic. I had a great experience with the consignment process, very simple. I received wonderful one on one attention with my things and any follow up questions I had were quickly answered. The whole staff is super nice and helpful and they play great music in the shop, which always makes for a pleasant shopping or browsing experience. I will continue to patronize The Attic whether I have any consignments or not. It's a terrific place in a fabulous location. Love it there, it has such a great vibe!

The workers always are pre occupied and doesn't greet you ( well me anyway). I was in the back looking at items with a worker 2 feer from me and she never acknowledged my existence until I greeted her. This shop is super cute with a great selection of dresses. I like that they have the dresses sorted by size so that I don't fall in love with a size 2 that I can't squeeze into. The woman working there was also super nice and helpful. They have a nice large fitting room with great mirrors. She and my boyfriend found this dress that I wasn't crazy about and talked me into trying it on. It fit well and was actually much better once I had it on. Without their encouragement, I totally would have passed over this dress that was perfect for what I was looking for. They have designer dresses at great prices for all sorts of occasions. I was here midday on a Sunday and was very happy that they were open since many stores on Main Street are closed on Sundays. I will definitely stop back here when I am in the area. And they take credit card which is great since not all consignment shops do. (Strangely though I couldn't check in on yelp, and when I tried, my yelp app was telling me the store was 2.5 miles away although I was literally standing inside the store. But perhaps that is just an issue with my phone.)

I arrived at the store about 10-15 minutes after opening time on a Monday morning, and there were 8-10 other shoppers present, likely due to the sale. No one greeted me initially, but eventually a salesperson asked if she could start a dressing room for me. I tried on quite a few items, and maybe 15 minutes later a salesperson asked if anyone in the dressing area needed help. Because there were other women trying on clothing while I was there, I asked another customer for feedback about how an item looked. I didn't mind doing this. However, if the store were less busy, perhaps a salesperson might have returned to the dressing room earlier and been able to offer the feedback herself.

Today I had the privilege of dropping by to see Carol, the volunteer coordinator for The Perfect Fit in Allentown. Talbots was extremely generous in donating 10% off all transactions today to The Perfect Fit for Working Women (a program of the YWCA). The manager, Donna Barry, was so helpful and she is so incredibly "pro-community." Every single employee could not have been genuinely more kind. This says a lot, especially since the store is having a "30 percent off everything" sale.
