The clothing was affordable because of a sale, but I personally would not pay full price for most of the items (e.g., $125 for casual pants). I arrived at the store about 10-15 minutes after opening time on a Monday morning, and there were 8-10 other shoppers present, likely due to the sale. No one greeted me initially, but eventually a salesperson asked if she could start a dressing room for me. I tried on quite a few items, and maybe 15 minutes later a salesperson asked if anyone in the dressing area needed help. Because there were other women trying on clothing while I was there, I asked another customer for feedback about how an item looked. I didn't mind doing this. However, if the store were less busy, perhaps a salesperson might have returned to the dressing room earlier and been able to offer the feedback herself.

Today I had the privilege of dropping by to see Carol, the volunteer coordinator for The Perfect Fit in Allentown. Talbots was extremely generous in donating 10% off all transactions today to The Perfect Fit for Working Women (a program of the YWCA). The manager, Donna Barry, was so helpful and she is so incredibly "pro-community." Every single employee could not have been genuinely more kind. This says a lot, especially since the store is having a "30 percent off everything" sale.

I am attending a wedding in November and planned on just wearing my old prom dress. From the moment I entered the store I was amazed at how beautiful all the gowns were! Yelitza immediately greeted me and went above and beyond helping me find beautiful options to wear. She was so kind and caring and really knew her stuff!!!!!! She assisted me with trying on 4 different dresses and I ended up going with the very first dress I tried on! It's funny because when I walked in the store she happen to have it in her hands putting it away! I instantly said hey that dress is beautiful and it happen to be my size and everything!!!! She even took photos of me in each gown so I could compare and contrast! Yelitza made my shopping experience extremely rewarding and fun! This is a post about the Jr department sales clerk, GAIL, who took it upon herself to negate my price adjustment/return today with her poor attitude and condescending words. A few weeks ago, I purchased several jr clothing items off the clearance rack for $1.99 and noticed the price marked IN RED on the ticket did not reflect on my receipt. 5 pairs of Wallflower overalls all rang up $1.99 except one pair and so, I stopped by the EASTON store to address it with the clerk, GAIL. I explained what happened and the first words out of her mouth were "these are Wallflowers and they never get reduced" followed by "there's no way to give you a price adjustment without seeing ALL the other wallflower overalls", followed by "why do you want to see a manager, she's going to tell you the same thing", followed by "there's nothing we can do" followed by "we don't ink the price in RED" blah, blah, blah. In the meantime, the department manager watched her and let her treat a GOOD customer in this manner and wouldn't share HER name because she didn't say anything wrong!! Who allows this clerk to treat customers this way? The asst mgr arrived and made the price adjustment but not w/o squaring it with the dept mgr first. Unacceptable, GAIL. You need a refreshment course in customer service and interactional training to better address a complaint with a customer.
