The last couple times I've been here, there is not much of a selection. When you find clothes that you are like "Yes this will look good on me" they don't have it in your size. If you bring that to an associate, the day you can go online and order it. If you regularly don't have the selection or sizes (only maybe 2 or 3 of the product on the sales floor) and tell people to go to your website, you should really consider closing the doors. Diane, the "My Stylist" (Personal Shopper) at Macy's is incredibly helpful and has the latest "fashion forward" knowledge and expertise! I just learned that not all Macy's stores offer this service -- it's free !!!!!!!! I have always dreaded clothes shopping. Trying to find the right sizes and giving up after trying on five or six or pair of pants, etc. I have shopped with Diane twice. I am to continue. It's so easy. I call to make an appointment and tell her what types of things I am looking for. When I arrive at my appointment, Diane has certain items already "pulled" and ready for me in a huge, private dressing room. I can even. Send her the Macy's web ID of items I would like to try. If those items are at the Lehigh Valley store she will set them aside. She also applies all my coupons in the best ways possible - even if it requires separate transactions. She does not pressure me to purchase. She gives her honest opinion. No tipping - no fee!!!! She can also go and help select shoes and jewelry to match outfits. I also use Plenti points and have done extremely well with that program as well. Why not try a personal shopper if it is free? If you are like me and get frustrated trying on clothes, this will change how you feel about clothes shopping. Also, Diane is extremely sensitive to women who may be self conscious about their figures. I would like to add my experience with four outstanding Macy's employees on Jan. 28, 2020. Destinng works on the upper level, in thee Macy's Backstage area. I wanted to make a small purchase. I had a pair of boots and several items to return. She happily took caree of all of them. Macy's is fortunate to have her she is upbeat, kind and efficient. Leah was incredibly helpful in the CPA at area on thr second level. She gave her honest feedback when asked AAMI was very pleasant. I bought a cool new pair of patent-leather heels from MIlton in shoes. Not onllu is he a great salesperson, he is a good conversationalist. Lastly, Sheilaa helped me in the handbag/jewelry area. I was at Macy's, trying to buy perfume for my daughter five people behind the counter, one person helping a customer, and no one could help, they were sitting there, talking and laughing amongst each other instead of giving customer service when I asked, the lady told me that there are some people only supposed to be a cashier and she didn't know about the others. However, I get its the busy season however, customer service is how you win your business and the customers is what keeps you in business without it you have nothing no wonder everyone is going online to shop as it's easier when you don't have to deal with associates who don't want to do their job or help customers. I love Macys for online shopping. There aren't many people working in the store itself. Their shipping and return policies are very good.

The mens department is very understaffed. The cashier for mens section is also who gets you your shoes to try on between checkouts. I'm here now waiting for 25 minutes to get 2 pairs of shoes, they finally got someone who knows how to find them in the back, they're looking for them now (not holding my breath...). All the while there is an annoying alarm going off in the fitting room that nobody seems to care about... weeeee-wahhhhh, weeee-wahhhh... it's actually pretty comical. read more

I like shopping at Macy's, but only for certain things. I find shopping for women's clothing in general to be overwhelming at Macy's. Too many sections. I understand why they separate things by brand, but when I want to buy a skirt, I hate digging through an entire floor to find what I want. I'm not so designer or brand specific that I go looking something that way. I go here to look for shoes, housewares & men's clothing. They almost always have a good selection of clearance ties & dress shirts for my husband. I've also had good luck buying coats here. Service is hit or miss. Back in Columbus, I loved shopping at Macy's. We always had great luck finding people to help us. This Macy's is just "eh" in that category. read more

I went to this Macy's today to look for a pair of boots (the zipper on mine had just broken). If you have thinner calves - actually, I think my calves are pretty average sized - don't even think about shopping here. I tried on at least ten different pairs of boots here from different brands, and only one of them actually fit my calves, and even then only in a half-size smaller than my usual. I was prepared to buy those boots, but they couldn't locate one of the boots! While I thought the service was very good and they did try, especially given that it was Christmas Eve, I don't understand how they could just lose half a pair of boots. read more

Shopping here is an unpleasant experience. They are chronically understaffed. Merchandise is often in chaotic disarray While most clerks are doing their best, it is clear that The management views customer service as secondary to keeping costs down. Just spent 20 minutes in men's shoes waiting for assistance which never came. This was on a Saturday afternoon when I would expect them to be fully staffed. When we mentioned this while paying for a shirt at a nearby department, we were told it was up to us to have asked at that department. Please, Macy's! Consider the customer's experience! I shop here for my boyfriend because there is no other place to shop for men in Lehigh Valley. This particular Macy's is very disorganized and I always think its layout if backwards. The way the brands are grouped a presented does not make sense and its always a mess. Full price items on Clearance racks, sale items on the floor, and when I am ready to check out- it's so hard to find someone at a register to cash me out. Ordered online to pick up in store I got the email that the order is ready for pick up. I get to the store and the employees couldn't find the order. They took my number and said they would call me when they find the order, but they never did. I called the next day after being on hold for 45mins my call got disconnected because it rang back due to being on hold for so long and no answer. The store is clean, and has a nice selection of clothing, however, their prices are so inflated, it's almost comical. Then they place a "sale" of 40% off regular priced items. Then I looked at some items in the "clearance" rank 60% off. I have got to say, their clearance is no bargain. But tops priced at $80.00, and more, it wasn't even a fancy top! I priced a robe on their clearance, the price, $51.00 again, a plain simple blue robe, no fancy anything. I really hope they come to their senses, and stop inflating their prices to insane amounts, before they lose even more customers. She was friendly, humble, and efficient. She talked me through the various brands and styles, compiled possible suit combinations to try on, and continuously checked back with me during the fitting process. She made me aware of the staff tailor in the case alterations were needed, and even offered for me to come back to her fitting rooms after I had subsequently purchased my shoes in the adjacent shoe department. I recently had the most fantastic customer service and attention from Gayle and Cindy at the Bobbi Brown counter in Macy's at the Lehigh Valley Mall. I walked in looking for a new color of foundation and over an hour later walked out with 5 items. Gayle was so tremendous and accommodating and went above and beyond to make me feel beautiful and comfortable! She did not pressure me into anything and provided so much encouraging and positive advice!
