My most purchased items are jewelry. It was not until recently that I discovered it was a consignment shop. I had quite a few things I wanted to sell and realized I could do it at The Attic. I had a great experience with the consignment process, very simple. I received wonderful one on one attention with my things and any follow up questions I had were quickly answered. The whole staff is super nice and helpful and they play great music in the shop, which always makes for a pleasant shopping or browsing experience. I will continue to patronize The Attic whether I have any consignments or not. It's a terrific place in a fabulous location. Love it there, it has such a great vibe!

The clothing was affordable because of a sale, but I personally would not pay full price for most of the items (e.g., $125 for casual pants). I arrived at the store about 10-15 minutes after opening time on a Monday morning, and there were 8-10 other shoppers present, likely due to the sale. No one greeted me initially, but eventually a salesperson asked if she could start a dressing room for me. I tried on quite a few items, and maybe 15 minutes later a salesperson asked if anyone in the dressing area needed help. Because there were other women trying on clothing while I was there, I asked another customer for feedback about how an item looked. I didn't mind doing this. However, if the store were less busy, perhaps a salesperson might have returned to the dressing room earlier and been able to offer the feedback herself.

Talbots was extremely generous in donating 10% off all transactions today to The Perfect Fit for Working Women (a program of the YWCA). The manager, Donna Barry, was so helpful and she is so incredibly "pro-community." Every single employee could not have been genuinely more kind. This says a lot, especially since the store is having a "30 percent off everything" sale.

The staff greeted me as soon as I walked in. I explained the situation and they had the button replaced in under five minutes. No hassle, no questions asked. The store is one open floor -- men's on the right as you enter, women's on the left. It's larger than the Short Hills location and noticeably bigger than the former Bridgewater Commons location. Since this is a regular BB store and not an outlet, expect regular pricing on items.

One woman said "I'm not the manager, and you have to ask the manager", who was standing directly beside her! The manager was eating a sandwich as she looked at me in a very condescending manner. She asked me to repeat my request. I nicely repeated my request (even though I knew she heard me, but I also work in retail, so I wanted to be gracious). As she continued eating her sandwich behind the service desk, right out in the open, the manager tells me she cannot accommodate me. All while holding her hand up in front of her mouth as she spoke and did not even use a napkin. The manager said she will only accept a return within 2-3 days. (Like what??) I thanked them and then immediately left because I just could not stand to give my money to that store after this interaction. The manager took another bite of her lunch (like use your employee room to eat your food!) and didn't even look up at me again. These women were beyond uninviting and rude! No wonder the store was empty with zero customers.
