I manage a master planned community, and we have a clubhouse/ event space available for members to rent. We had purchased a new tv, and the person who initially set that up was not able to connect it to the existing in-wall surround sound system. I messaged a few local AV techs with great reviews on Yelp, including Jason of HB Integration. The other two I contacted quoted an hourly rate to come by and diagnose the problem, which is fair; however, you run the risk of being out a couple hundred for the troubleshooting with no guarantee it's even fixable. On the other hand, Jason offered to swing by at no charge to check out the sound system and tv. If it was something they could fix on the spot, he let me know what the rate would be, and I found that more reassuring and competitive. Setting up the appointment was easy, and in just a few minutes, Jason assessed the sound system and the rest of our av equipment, and fixed the issue on the spot. We've since used his services at least 4 more times in the past year for things like upgrading and setting up the Apple TV and universal remote, adding a pivoting tv mount, cleaning up and rerouting jumbled nests of cables, and best of all - he was able to save our subwoofer and save us $1000 after a member physically damaged it. He took it home, performed his own version of surgery with a creative solution, and brought it back in full working order. As a fiduciary, I sincerely appreciate any opportunity to mitigate unnecessary expense, and Jason has helped tremendously with that. I called Jason from HB Integration to help me solve my security system issues. Had a company install a security system back in 2017 and it kept on getting disconnected from my phone. Was not able to view remotely. Also had installed a SimplySafe system and couldn't get the cameras connected. Tech support couldn't help either. I called Jason and we set up a time for him to come out. He was checking everything from Internet to systems. Checking speeds of Internet and everything in between. He found out my DVR was not supported anymore with updates. Was able to view cameras on my TV but not phone so he recommended to replace DVR. He was able to get 2 of the 5 SimplySafe cameras working and decided to do a little more research on the system. He recommended to upgrade to more uploading speed which I did because of everything else I had connected to internet. Jason came back a day later and installed the new DVR and we finished up getting the other SimplySafe cameras connected. He installed the outdoor cameras for me and got the DVR to connect to my phone and now everything is working perfectly again. We are very fortunate to have found Jason. Our home is custom built in 2003. We put very expensive equipment in at the time and through the years things have worn out and we've had people come in to repair our entertainment center. HB Integration ran Ethernet through my entire house with no crawl space or attic access. They did an incredibly clean job and only cut a few holes to do it. The team was very respectful of our home. I noticed everywhere they worked they put down drop cloths, they carefully cut their holes and saved the drywall pieces for me to patch, they even alerted me to some corroded pipes in my wall that I would not have found otherwise.
