09/22/2015 UPDATE: Mike messaged me the day before to confirm the appointment. He showed up at the time scheduled and went right to work. He completed the two TV installs in about 2 hours. Overall I'm happy with the quality of work and level of service. Based on that, I have updated my review to 5 stars. 08/26/2015 UPDATE: Mike got back to me explaining the extenuating circumstances of why he was not able to respond to my inquiries. I have went ahead and scheduled an install for two flat panel TVs with him. This is scheduled 3.5 weeks from now. I still trust the Talk Irvine forum's recommendation of his company and based on the pictures and yelp reviews, feels that he will do a professional job. Also, out of 3 estimates I have received so far, his is the most reasonable. I'll further update this review after the installation. 08/25/2015: Business must be too good to return phone calls/emails. All Star Home Theater was recommended on a thread from the Talk Irvine forums. I called called the number listed on their website on Friday, 8/21 at 3pm and left a message to request an estimate for 2 flat panel installs. No return call. Emailed on Saturday, received a generic response (auto-generated?) without any price estimates. I emailed back within 30 minutes asking if he forgot to send an attachment. No further response. iMessaged his phone, no response. iMessaged his phone again Monday. No response. I've tried all forms of communication and no adequate response (emails, phone calls, and text messages). Now, I just feel like I'm being ignored.

Called them up this afternoon in hopes of getting a TV I had just bought installed at my mom's house. Mike was able to come out to the house and install the TV in a minimal amount of time. Thanks Mike for the fast and friendly service.

They did not have to destroy the drywall to route the coax and were in and out in a manner of 3-4 hours. SCE came out and said the wiring behind the meter was damaged and overheating. We were afraid of it catching fire, plus we had people coming over that night and we didn't have power in the kitchen and half the house. I called a few electricians, but none of them could come out right away. And then I found Ramon. He came out in less than an hour to diagnose the problem. He gave us a very fair estimate and said he could do the work the same day. He immediately went out to get the parts he needed and then got right to work. The job was more involved than what he originally thought, but the price stayed the same and he finished in a few hours. SCE ended up coming back out later that night because we had called them for service before we found Ramon and they didn't show up for like 12 hours. The SCE guy insisted on checking the work we had done because he was skeptical that it would be adequate. He checked everything and quickly left, saying the work was done perfectly. Thank you, Ramon, for saving our day!

I have a new construction home and one of my first projects was networking/cabling. I wanted two Ubiquiti APs (one on each floor), several Ubiquiti PoE security cameras, and two CAT6 drops into bedrooms which the builder didn't add. Starlight Tech was able to take care of all of this and the best part was minimal holes in the drywall. There were some small holes that Mike told me about ahead of time, but they were small enough to be covered by standard wall plates. On the day of the install, Starlight Tech was here on time, worked together to make sure everything was done in a clean and neat manner, and made sure everything was fully up and running before leaving. They even came back on a second occasion because I was still waiting to order a final security camera. I've recommended Starlight Tech to my neighbors and highly recommend them for any networking or cabling job needed. They are extremely detailed and are excellent at problem solving. The price I paid was very fair for all the work they did. Thank you Mike, Javad, and the Starlight Tech team!!

They helped me install an entire Ubiquiti ecosystem, which included 5 POE Cameras, 1 POE Doorbell, 2 POE Doorbell Chimes, and 4 POE Access Points. It doesn't end there. They even helped me relocate my ethernet ports and power outlets to more convenient locations that are more hidden so I don't end up with dangling wires. It still doesn't end there. They completely rack-mounted everything and made everything beautiful. The Ubiquiti ecosystem is more expensive, but I didn't mind the investment, especially with two industry experts leading the way. In the future, I do not doubt that Starlight Tech will be my go-to if I require any additional networking! Additional Details: My house is a single family, 2 floors, 3326 sqft.

Frank is very courteous and is very patient with the setup and the troubles that I been experiencing due to internet and power issues at our location. He truly has gone above and beyond and helped us troubleshoot and find the source of the troubles we are having, even if his company does not provide the solution, he is able to figure out where the issue lies so that we can call in the correct vendor or find a different service provider with more consistent service and higher speed. He also understands sense of urgency and customer service when we have had to obtain video without the ability to do so remotely. Thank you Frank; you are truly an asset to Bay Alarm. Very poor service request handling. Our fire panel has had an error(s) message for months and they…read morenever resolved or cleared the issue. We had also advised that some interior alarms did not announce in several units during an event and asked for them to come up with a solution to repair the issue. Nothing was ever resolved with nor did they provide any follow up response / solution. Also, they're unaware of the password for the panel to even work on it. So their only solution is to replace their panel with a new one. It is not recommend to use this particular location or even the company if this is how they handle a multi unit complex. We have no confidence at all and if zero stars could be given, then that would be their rating.

I figure things happen and take time so I didn't call until 2:30 pm or so to check on where the technician was. I was told that my job had "not been added to the schedule" but they would see when a tech could be there. I was then told 3:45-4:00pm. No one arrived. I called at 4:15 pm and was told they were 25 minutes away. I called at 5:01 and the voicemail said the office was CLOSED and here it is 5:15 and no one EVER ARRIVED. I realize compared to other jobs this company has, my job was small and not worth a lot of money. However, the measure of a great business is to treat small customers as well as your big customers. If you don't show up when scheduled, fail to add a job to your schedule, and keep lying to your customer about the arrival time of your tech who NEVER shows up at all...why would I trust this company with my larger corporate work? How you treat people matters, whether the job is big or small. This was unacceptable today and I did not appreciate that I had to keep calling YOUR business to find out what was going on, what happened to the tech, etc. Why aren't YOUR people communicating with customers? Why didn't anyone apologize? Why didn't anyone call before close of business to say, "Hey, we're not coming!" I was extremely unhappy because no one cared that I had taken time off work to meet the tech and no one cared enough to even CALL me and let me know what was going on. You guys dropped the ball big time here and were incredibly thoughtless and rude. Update: They just arrived at 5:36 pm. The techs themselves were GREAT and were able to do the work and complete the job. However, I wanted someone to know about the lack of transparency and communication today as it was very upsetting to me. The quality of work and the people you hired to do the actual technical job were terrific, knowledgeable and qualified. I realized it was not THEIR fault today, but I think it's important for people to know about the communication problems. I updated my review from 1 star to 3 because of the actual techs and their skills.
