    Cars & trucks birthday cake
    Caitlin S.

This is the perfect place to have a birthday cake made for a child. I asked for a cars & trucks cake and they absolutely nailed it. It was so adorable and really made his birthday special. Highly recommend.

    a variety of baked goods

I've gotten sandwiches from Hazel's before and they've been good sized but I got a Too Good to Go bag from them recently that included two different loaves of bread, a chocolate chip muffin and a blueberry pastry cornbread thing for 3.99$. It seems like a pretty good deal and the bread wasn't stale so it can be frozen.

    Desperado sandwich

A random corner bakery in Needham close by the Hersey commuter rail stop that should get more attention! An amazing bakery with quaint decor and wall hangings that serves sandwiches and desserts from cakes to cookies. We came here on a Saturday around lunch time and it was busy and I got a desperado sandwich and a peach muffin. The sandwich was jam packed full of goodness including lots of turkey, 3 pieces of crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and thousand island dressing. There are quite a few different bread options, so I opted for a sub roll. This sandwich is well worth the cost and quite filling. The dressing did make the sub roll a bit soggy on the bottom, but other than that I throughly enjoyed my lunch. You can also grab a bag of chips for snack later and they also have a frozen section of meats. They also do custom cakes that you can call for any occasion. I had the peach muffin the next day and it was still soft, moist, and had a good amount of small peach chunks. I would highly recommend checking this place out and I can't wait to go back to try their other desserts.

This beautiful cake Hazels made was absolutely amazing . Thank you.

Hazels did an incredible job on my husband's birthday cake. They are amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Went off perfect and a complete surprise.

Everything here is baked fresh and with love. Stop by frequently as the menu changes. The cupcakes are amazing. Not only are they pretty but they are tasty too! The owner allows staff to be creative when baking and add their own touches. You can tell that they are passionate at what they do and it shows in the quality of pastries that they sell.

""Meet me at the deli, meet me at the bar."…read more(The Strokes) Gianni's is a family-owned deli and pizzeria on Highland Street in the heart of Needham's busy Central Business District. They don't occupy a particularly large space -it's dominated by an ordering station with a big menu board over it, and a small showcase for their highly rated pizzas. Why "highly rated"? Well, they scored a 7.9 rating on Barstool sports, just a scant .1 of a point from their 8.0's description of "exceptional and rare". But we weren't there for pizza, we wanted to pick up some subs for a few lunches on our weekend trip. They have 14 "cold" and 10 "hot" sandwiches, and the pricing structure really makes you a fool if you don't go big. Our Italian and Ham and Cheese subs were prices at $11.99 for small and $12.99 for a large, so you tell me what choice you would make? My large Italian sub easily provided a satisfying half for Friday lunch and a second half for Saturday lunch. It was an excellent sandwich with plenty of meat on a pillowy soft sesame breaded sub roll with lettuce, tomato, onions and vinegar, Have I had subs with more meat? Of course I have. But have I paid around $20 for comparably sized subs? Of course I have. So, was I happy for Gianni's value, considering quality, quantity, and price? One thousand percent YES. Service was friendly and we enjoyed our visit very much. Of Note Their parking lot is tiny, so it would be challenging to negotiate on a perfect weather day. It was a snowy mess when we visited, and the mounds of snow and sardine-like jam-up of cars made the lot a hard pass for us. We ended up parking in the big lot across the street, behind Blue On Highland and walked over.

This place is kind of small and I ordered a large pizza with peppers and onions and half sausage over the phone before I arrived. When I arrived was around noon and maybe there was a couple of customers in it. The people behind the counter were very nice and friendly. While I wanted for my pie more and more people came, many for sandwiches. I watched them make the sandwiches and the Italian bread they were using looked really good. By the time my pie came out the place was filled with people and the worker I chatted with was very busy. In any event I took the pie home. To make a long story short , my ride was about 20 minutes, so the pie got a little steamed from its own heat in my pizza bag. That aside it reminded me a lot of the pizza I had in NJ throughout my life. This is really different from most of the pizza I have tried in Massachusetts over the last couple of years. It wasn't a bar pie or Greek Style and was similar to what you would find in NY metro. I enjoyed it and will return. It was tasty, and not overly salty which seems to be the standard these days.

Santoro's has deep roots in Roslindale Square, originally founded by Vincenzo and Agostina Santoro and beloved for decades for their Sicilian pizza, fresh-baked scali bread, and classic Italian pastries. Today, their daughter Tina Santoro Asmar carries that legacy forward with pride--and has taken it to another level. The care, tradition, and family ownership are felt the moment you walk in. The sandwiches are simply unmatched. Hands down, the best Italian deli sandwiches I've ever had--better than anything I've eaten in Philadelphia, New York City, or Boston (all places I've lived). Everything starts with bread baked fresh daily and top-quality ingredients. Our favorites are: The Agostina Sr. - Boar's Head provolone, sweet & spicy capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, prosciutto, sun-dried tomato spread, roasted red peppers, onion, tomato, fresh basil, and olive oil The Grayson - Oven Gold turkey, cranberry sauce, homemade stuffing, romaine, and mayo You can taste the pride and attention to detail in every bite. Catering is where Santoro's truly shines and we always call the day beforehand. We regularly order trays for our own family and for friends returning home from the hospital, and the feedback is always the same--everyone raves. Standout catering dishes include: Chicken Parmigiana, Stuffed shells & stuffed manicotti, Lasagna, Ziti with meatballs, Chicken, broccoli & ziti, Eggplant Parmigiana (a favorite with our vegetarian friends), and Caesar salad We always order extra meatballs and extra Nona Carmela's marinara--and it never goes to waste. The garlic bread is also a must: fresh scali bread loaded with garlic, butter, Parmesan, mozzarella, and baked until perfectly bubbly. The desserts are excellent (especially the cannoli), and they thoughtfully package them separately from hot food--small touches that show how much they care. Add in super friendly staff, fair prices, and consistently fresh ingredients, and Santoro's becomes the kind of place you rely on again and again--for everyday meals, family gatherings, and moments when food really matters. A true family-owned Italian gem with incredible sandwiches and catering you can trust. Highly recommended.
