Very happy with my experience. I have 4 very large trees that were serviced. The crew was on time, kept me in the loop on how the work progressed, sought my input and feedback on how I wanted things to go and cleaned everything up promptly after work concluded. Nothing bad to say about at all. Would highly recommend. read more

Hayward Tree Service is AMAZING! I had a huge tree in my front yard and three huge shrubs in the back and they came through like termites and destroyed the wood. The crane took the largest and it was so quick just minutes and they also quickly cleaned up. The backyard, huge tree, and with cleanup and they were done in a hour-so awesome! I have already referred three of my neighbors. Hayward Tree Service has amazing customer service and at amazing prices too! Best in the Valley! Thank You Hayward Tree Service! read more

Great job removing three very large palm trees and a old pine tree that was dying. Best bid I received out of three. Job was done in just hours , efficient and clean. Couldn't be happier with Hayward tree removal again. This is the second time I have use them. Very satisfied read more

These guys did an OUTSTANDING job today. We had 2 insanely huge and out-of-control Sissous in our backyard and they showed up on time and completed the job they quoted. They really did above and beyond. We are very happy with the way our trees were trimmed: they climbed up even the tallest branch (50ft?) and pruned and corrected the growth of these trees. We really hadn't expected that level of thoroughness and were quite impressed. They also did a great job on clean-up.. if you know Sissous, they are a total PITA when it comes to leaves.. they cleaned all the mess on their way out. I highly recommend them for your serious tree pruning jobs.! read more

Took down 7 overgrown, out of control, and un-cared for pines in our yard to make way for new privacy hedge. Amazed how orderly, clean, and neat the work was!! I'd highly recommend their service to others. Prices were very reasonable!!! read more

These guys were as good as it gets. Everything from the initial bid, (very reasonable) to the follow up by Sher in the office was perfect. The crew was on time, courteous, and professional. The job they did (wow) 3 huge trees (grapefruit, Juniper, and a bottle brush tree) were all at least 30 years old. They did the job, even did a little extra at no additional charge, and their clean up was spot on. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for tree service. read more

They did an excellent job! We had them trim 2 very large overgrown trees and they removed 3 large trees. We were concerned since one of the trees, a 35 ft+ tall pine tree was ~3 ft from our house, yet they very carefully and slowly removed the tree piece by piece until the whole thing was gone. They were very careful to not damage the house/windows/neighbors/etc. They were extremely professional! Cleaned up everything - even the stuff that fell in the neighbors yards and used a blower to get every last leaf. They asked our opinion on how to trim the trees. They clearly know what they are doing. We plan on using them again for any future tree trimming/removal needs we have! Plus their quote was much cheaper than competitors. Highly recommended!! read more

I got an estimate from Hayward after 2 other companies gave their bid - Hayward was by far the cheapest. Removed a 25 year old pine tree that was dead in 1.5 hours. Ground stump but did not go deep enough, however and had to finish myself. Owner did estimate & the work - crew of 4 worked efficiently & took care. 3 of my neighbors came to get a bid while he was working. Highly recommend using Hayward. read more

I am super pleased with the work Hayward did! I requested a quote through the website and their awesome office staff called me first thing the next business day to schedule my estimate. The estimate was totally reasonable and booking was easy as could be. The guys showed up, did their work and cleaned up without bothering me whatsoever. Thanks so much for removing my horrible ebony tree & trimming up the others- You've made a loyal customer out of me! read more

We have had our large ficus tree trimmed each year for past five or six years by Hayward Tree service. They do an outstanding job and are very professional. Each member of their crew who comes out and there are usually four of them is courteous and polite. I highly recommend their service. read more

I asked Hayward Tree Service to remove a palm tree that was planted immediately next to my house that was a danger to the structure. I called and they were so professional and friendly and willing to schedule the work two weeks out. The owner himself came, on time, to give me an estimate. The job was a small one actually but, that did not matter to him. He took my concerns seriously - that the porch screens may get damaged during the removal so precautions were needed. Most outfits would have passed on the job. They sent their estimate immediately and called to schedule.... very friendly and helpful office personnel to deal with. Their tree crew came out on time and were very professional and friendly and did a great job in a timely manner. They were careful about the screens and cleaned up everything. I highly recommend this outfit for every tree removal job! read more

Prompt and courteous. Trees look terrific and they cleaned up like they were never there. Good value.

I had four palm trees and another tree that needed to be trimmed, all were out of control. I contacted Hayward to come give me an estimate. They gave me what was a good price and I went ahead and scheduled the service. We agreed to a day for them to come prune the trees and I went ahead and took the day off from work so I could be home to let them in the back yard and pay them. They assured me they would be there between 11-1. At 10:20 I got a phone call from the company telling me they were cancelling because they allegedly got in to an auto accident that morning. I subsequently contacted another company who arrived on time, quoted me a better price, and did not make me waste a vacation day waiting for them to never show up. Stay away from this one. It cost me a vacation day at my job and to be honest several things in their story don't add up. So many other reputable companies, go with one of them instead. read more

Great price. Easy to work with. They were able to remove a tree that was growing against a house. I didn't have to be there. The tree was removed, stump ground, and everything was nicely cleaned up. I will definitely use them again in the future. read more

The price was fair, and they came when they said they would, and they came back as promised to finish what could not be done that day. Did good job removing one tree, but they shaped up and trimmed my orange too, and I think they cut too much. Now it has very little fruit. Hopeful this will resolve itself next season. Sad panda. They are the experts, if cutting off too much was going to shock my tree I wish they would have at least warned me. Updated: The tree has recovered nicely and I am very happy now! read more

They trimmed our ficus trees for a lot of $$ and left BOTH our landscape lighting and our neighbors lighting a mess. My neighbor was upset and called herself to complain. They explained that they only had x amount of time to trim the trees and weren't able to correct the lighting. Do they really need to get into that? WHat about just and apology? Both our neighbor and i were upset. they eventually did come back and fix the lighting but still not pleased. My husband is not happy with the trimming and would look elsewhere to have it done again. I would not recommend them. read more

The entire Hayward team did an incredible job of removing a large mesquite tree from my yard. The initial contact was on Monday and the effort setting an appointment for an estimate was easy. I got a quick, friendly estimate on Tuesday and the tree was removed on Thursday morning. Service was great. Price was right. I would recommend Hayward Tree Service. I will use them again. read more

We live in an area of South Tempe with hugh pine trees. I called Hayward for an estimate to remove a large pine 40 inches from the house. Definitely needed a crane to get out safely. A week after accepting the very reasonable quote, Hayward showed up with two trucks, 7 men, a large crane, chipper, and stump grinder. They had the tree safely removed in 11/2 hours. The men were all hustle, no swearing, and totally professional. I'm a retired construction manager and believe this contactor is about as good as they come. I highly recommend. read more

I hired Hayward Tree to remove trees from my property. The owner came out a few days before, walked the property with me and showed me videos of previous similar jobs they had done. He was quick and professional. Gave me a verbal quote on the spot followed up later in the day with a detailed written quote via email. The office followed up with me to schedule the job. On the day of the job they gave me plenty of notice of their arrival. While here I was impressed with the efficiency and teamwork of the Hayward Tree crew. They take great care not to damage anything using sturdy mats before driving equipment onto the property and using protective screens while grinding tree stumps. The clean up was excellent with little sign they were even here. The crew was hard working and they even cut a few logs for me to keep. I highly recommend Hayward Tree! read more

I am a busy person and needed to find a tree trimmer efficiently. I must say, Hayward's level of technology deployment is refreshing and effective. Found them online, looked at reviews online. Arranged a bid online, confirmed estimate online. They called my cell phone and I paid using my credit card, they used Square to process. It emailed my receipt. Called my cell day before work to confirm. No muss no fuss. Frictionless marketing. Oh yes, they did a good job trimming the trees and cleaning up the yard. Price was fair and reasonable. As consumers we expect the work is done properly and priced fairly. The frictionless marketing is the differentiater as far as I am concerned. read more

Phillip and his crew do Outstanding work! I highly recommend Hayward for any tree removal work you need done

We had to remove a huge tree because its heavy, overhanging branches presented a safety hazard to our house and cars. We found Hayward online and gave them a call. Their estimate was very reasonable compared to that given to us by other tree services and noted that Hayward was highly rated by its former customers. We were not disappointed!! They scheduled a crew to start work within three days and the scheduler kept in touch to let us know when the crew would arrive. When they arrived, the crew got right to work on the tree and worked continuously, removing branches, the trunk, and grinding the stump. This turned out to be a 5+ hour job (HUGE tree). And on top of that, they cleaned up the entire yard before they left. We highly recommend giving Hayward a call if your trees are in need of servce. read more

We can only give them one star...at least they called us back at 6 PM the night before they were supposed to trim our tree to CANCEL and didn't just NOT SHOW UP.....LOL We won't be using them.....who knows if they would show up if we rescheduled or cancel again? Next...... read more

You've heard the old saying "you have tried the rest...now try the best". This fits Hayward Treescapes exactly! I have a lot of trees on my property and have used several so called landscapers. Most of them just cut branches without any training or knowledge of what they are doing, and I have lost several trees due to these hackers. Phil gave me a reasonable estimate and wrote a detailed work order for his crew. No mistakes, no problems, and a very happy customer! read more

Once again, mislead by Yelp reviewers, I selected Hayward after receiving three bids. Hayward was the middle bid for removal of three trees. They were just OK. They did what they quoted and they did it fast. They broke a couple of pavers and their clean up was sub par. My mistake for trusting glowing reviews on Yelp. read more

Very professional, expeditious work. They were on time, work was excellent and they tidied up afterward. Customer service was great- polite, helpful and clear. I will certainly hire them in for future service! read more

2 thumbs up! I had 3 citrus and 1 willow Acadia desperately needing to be trimmed. I was impressed with Sebastian's thorough walk through to give me an estimate. He took the time to look at the health and condition of the trees. That was the main reason I went with Hayward. If someone is going to be concerned about my trees health like they would their own, I'm sold! The quote was less than expected as well. The crew was friendly, hard working and fast. They made sure I was satisfied with the look of the trees before cleaning up. The trees were perfectly trimmed and all the deadwood was cleaned out. They even helped me collect some fallen citrus fruit! When finished, my yard looked better than before they came! Again they were extremely fast and efficient. I also had a fertilization treatment the day before the trees were trimmed. The man who came was extremely nice and quick. Hayward employees are really respectful and do a great job. I recommend them and I will hire them again when needed. Thanks! read more

They did a great job they were fast ,they were polite, and they even cleaned up the mess they made in the pool. Very impressed

STAY AWAY!!!!! They cost us a total of two days without water due to them improperly cutting down the trees our business was affected for two days not happy at all. read more

I need three medium size palm trees removed, saw their ad and called for a quote, set up an appointment for four days later with a three hour window. Doorbell rings and it takes me about two minutes to get to the door, as I happened to be on the other side of the house, upstairs, and had to corral dogs. And it's not like I got a courtesy call 30 minutes ahead of time like most other places. Anyway, I get to the door (again, two minutes max) and the guy is climbing back into his car. So I stand on my front porch for another solid minute until he finally glances over as he's started the car and is about to drive away. I raise my arms in kind of a WTH gesture. He climbs back out of his car, no apology or explanation, and it goes downhill from there. Rude, curt responses to questions, as if I was somehow wasting his time. All verbal quotes, nothing offered in writing, and it seemed like he couldn't get out fast enough even though I'm asking about things like lead times as I'm ready to move forward. Disturbingly, he did pause long enough to take some pictures of some vehicles in my backyard and asked me a couple of questions about them (without asking and like they were any of his business anyway). No handshake, thanks, or anything like that upon leaving. Honestly I should have just let him drive away to begin with. Solid pass, as there are plenty of other reputable tree services minus the attitude. read more

On Saturday, 9/27-2014 it was a rain storm in Phoenix, Az. A tree fell onto my house and completely blocked my garage entrance and front door.I trust Yelp, why I called this company, because the ratings were good. Bad luck! The company did not offer any help prior to Tuesday 9/30. I was just wondering why this company advertises for emergency help, if the help if not able to be provided within 24 hours????? After all, I cannot get in or out my house, so it is not because of fun that I needed their help! Simona Codrea, Phx, AZ read more

Thank you Hayward Tree Service. Your prompt service of cutting down those obnoxious balloons using your box truck saved me a considerable about of embarrassment. To any body reading this, I called with an emergency, and they were out here 15 minutes later. They were also very easy going and friendly to talk to. The price was right. Im not sure how I will get a chance to refer you, as it does not come up in the Mattress sales presentation (about tree trimming) but I will keep an eye out for those unusual jobs for sure. 5 stars Thanks again Steve. read more

Hayward did a great job removing five trees from the back desert area of my yard and one in my front courtyard. They arrived within their stated time window on a Saturday. The crew's professional foreman went over everything with me before they started removing the trees. He even agreed to remove a smaller tree that was also impeding my view of the mountains. They blew all the debris after removing the tree from my courtyard. It did take some time to get an estimate back from them, but my yard is very large and has a back desert area with many trees. This caused the delay, along with the fact that I could not be there when the estimator came to my house. The office scheduling girls were very nice and the manager was very courteous. He apologized for the delay and confusion. They put me on their schedule immediately once we confirmed exactly which trees I wanted to be removed. I shopped around for prices and Hayward's gave me the best estimate by far. The work was done to my satisfaction. I would recommend them and will use them again in the future. read more

I had a very large, very old pine tree in the front yard that needed to be cut down and the debris from a lemon tree in the back yard removed also. They arrived well within the 4 hour window provided and were done in a very timely manner. Cleaned up the yards very well, even cleaned up my next door neighbors driveway because the tree was close to the property line. Outstanding service and a great price! Would definitely use them again. read more

I called Haywood for an estimate on trimming my four palm trees. The rep was at our home within two days and suggested to us that we also needed to have our palms injected with a nutrient mix that would help them survive better in the upcoming summer climate. Within a week of that visit Haywood was back at our home and performed all the work we asked for. Quick, efficient and reasonable. I'd have them back again. read more

We will never do business with Hayward again. We had used Hayward Tree Service on one occasion and while their pricing was a bit on the high side for the amount of work performed (removal of two dead queen palms), the work was performed as scheduled and it was satisfactory. A few weeks ago we contacted Hayward again for removal of a single remaining dead queen palm, and on the day the work was scheduled no one showed up during the agreed upon time window. After the time window has passed someone from Hayward called us to let us know that they "lost their driver", and no one else with the appropriate commercial drivers license was available to operate their truck, so we rescheduled the service for the following Saturday. I skipped a personal commitment to be present for the Hayward crew that Saturday, but once again no one showed up. After the scheduled time window for the tree service had passed, I called Hayward and reached someone at an answering service. The person at the answering service said that she would call someone from Hayward who would return my call that day, but no one called back. My wife and I have been in customer service intensive jobs our entire careers and we would have gotten fired if we treated our customers so poorly. Epic fail on Hayward's part, and we will no longer do business with them. read more
