I definitely recommend Hayward for any tree work you need! They came out quickly to do the quote to remove my Jacaranda. The arborist was very friendly and knowledgeable. The quote was the best I had. They contacted me the night before to give me a time frame and they showed up right on time. The guys were very friendly and super fast! They cleaned everything up. What a great company. read more

After using Hayward Tree Service for over 15 years, many tree trimmings and tree fertilization and tree removal, no more will I use them or recommend them. I March of this year had them come out and thin out tree, which they did and stated it would fill out nicely in a couple months. Five months later free is dead. I know July was the hottest months and 30 plus days over 110 degrees, but tree was over 26 years old, and just dies. They came out today to look at it and confirmed it was dead. Neighbor behind us, trees are fine, there explanation, they were just lucky. Told my Wife to look around the neighborhood, everything is dead. Looked around neighborhood and everything is not dead. You would think they would at least compensate you slightly for a tree over 26 years old, but no. Must be nice to have so much business, you don't have to stand behind your work, even with a long standing customer. read more

Just saw the ad for HTS in the super savings mag. Made me think of what a great job they did on our trees! They will be the only tree service we will use! Thanks again for such a great job. Just had two more trees removed. They needed to go. HTS once again did a great job. Clean up so nicely. Highly recommend them!! read more

Hayward impressed me from the start. They sent out a guy to give an estimate and he was able to explain what needed to be done in a way that I understood. They quoted me a very good price and even gave me a first time customer discount from their website. The guys came and went over everything they were going to do and when they finished they made sure I was satisfied and they even cleaned up the yard and the street not only what fell. I would certainly use them again. read more

I needed two trees removed and a limb over the house taken off. I saw that Hayward Tree Service had the best reputation on yelp.com of the tree services. Their estimate person was top notch, no hassle, honest, and great to work with on the estimate. I got 3 overpriced estimates from other tree services and Hayward was the only estimate that was in line with similar past work that was done on our property by other tree services that did not overcharge. The tree crew came at the time requested, did an outstanding job, and cleaned up the job site extremely well. I highly recommend Hayward for tree removal. My experience with them was outstanding. read more

I called and described my situation (I have two large Eucalyptus trees in dire need of trimming and oleanders), they said they would have the schedulers call to set up an appointment for sometime on Monday. I Never received the 2nd call to set up the appointment. They just showed up.....I thought ok, maybe some miscommunication. They looked over the tree and my wife (i was not home due to miscommunication) asked they call me since I had more in depth knowledge about what is needed. They never called. After several days I called them. Their response "Oh we decided not to give you a quote....sorry". Maybe once they arrive they do a great job but honestly it took a lot of time and effort to get that response. read more

A storm blew my 7 year-old mesquite tree down. I called Hayward Tree Service to remove it. They showed up with the right equipment and an experienced crew. The whole job was done in about 30 minutes for the price quoted. Not much more I can say (or ask for). read more

Hayward came out yesterday to trim a few palms as well as a sumac that was close to the house and pretty overgrown. Palms look good as expected; the sumac is what really made a difference - They trimmed the greenery up to about roof height, and trimmed away from the roof and my neighbors fence. It is insane how much brighter it looks in that corner of the yard, and you can actually see that side of the house - makes it all look that much better. They cleaned up and hauled away all debris and also cleaned up around trees. Will be using them again as needed. read more

Absolutely top rate. Fast friendly and very affordable, awesome company to deal with. I will use them again read more

Hayward Tree Removal did a great job of removing our 75+ foot palm tree. They showed up promptly and had the tree removed in less than 20 minutes. They then did a great job of grinding down the stump and clean up. Their pricing came in several hundred dollars less than other estimates. We would highly recommend them for any tree service. read more

This is the second year I have had Hayward do the trees in the front and back yard. They do a wonderful job with the trimming and thinning but also clean up after themselves. I also had my six Texas ash fertilized and boy does that help the trees. Thanks. Larry read more

Hayward Tree Service recently removed several trees and bushes in my yard. They did a great job from start to finish. It was a pleasure to work with a company who shows up on time, does their job, and then cleans up when they are done. I highly recommend them. read more

Did what they said they would do! On time, clean and courtesy. Called many other companies and all others flaked. Thank you Hayward! read more

These guys are AWSOME! They were at 9:45 to take down two huge palms and were finished and cleaned up and gone by 11:30! They had to remove a few concrete edge stones in the front to get the crane truck in closer and even replaced the stones before they left. The whole crew was so nice and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend Hayward Tree Service for any tree related job you might have. Philip came by on Thursday, gave me an estimate which was the same as others I had gotten and was here today, the next day, to do the job. I will definitely call them if I ever need another tree removed. read more

Just had a palm tree removed from our backyard. They got the job done super quick and were very friendly!

Wish I had a good experience as other reviewers. I found the price quite high for the work that was done. I had 4 trees trimmed and they didn't really do a great job. I have been trimming more and more since they were here. Also the clean-up was less than acceptable. Had another company a couple years ago and they did a better job for half the price. Guess I should have just used them again instead of Hayward. read more

Customer service left a bit to be desired, but they did what they said they'd do and did a great job. They removed a big tree that cracked in a storm, and the stump too. They didn't even mess up the surrounding plants when grinding the stump! The cleaned up and literally only left footprints. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth every penny. read more

Look no further than Hayward Tree Service. All of the people from answering the phones, coming to give us an estimate and the crew taking down our trees were exceptional. Miguel and his team removed 2 large palm trees and stumps grounded down. They were very professional and caring. read more

Called to get an estimate for removing a tree which had fallen in my backyard from a recent storm. While the company answered my call promptly, they indicated that "the earliest we can have an estimator in your area [Scottsdale] would be 8 days from today". If it takes them 8 days to provide an estimate, I can only imagine how long it would take to actually provide the intended tree removal services. read more

Disappointed. I called to get an estimate to trim 4 Mexican and 2 Queen palms and to remove 4 ficus that were planted by previous owner in alleyway between my house and my neighbors. Before calling I checked their website to see if they serviced Goodyear, then double checked with the woman I spoke to on the phone. I will say that the person I spoke with was very nice. I was told because I was so close to the 10 they could service and was told the arborist would come by the following Monday, I called on Thursday. The next day I received a reminder text and given 3 hour window for my appointment and asked to confirm which I did. An hour and 43 minutes into my 3 hour window, I receive a text telling me the estimator has advised them that I am no longer in their service area. I have no issue with them not serving my area, my issue is that they made the appointment, confirmed the appointment and had me waiting around for them. read more

Can't say enough positive about this tree company. Great crew, friendly and efficient. Big tree and using their crane made great sense. Fair price too. Excellent clean up. Showed up when promised. They have our recommendation MM in Scottsdale read more

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Hayward. They came out the next day after I called for an estimate and removed my large ash trees 3 days later. They did in 2 hours what my landscaper proposed he do over 3 days. They left my yard perfectly clean when they were done. For those wondering about their pricing, they were extremely fairly priced beating all other estimates significantly. They get my highest recommendation! read more

Office staff very friendly and efficient with scheduling. Service was done on time. They removed a large tree and ground the stump. Did a great job, doesn't look like there was a tree there. They also removed all the trimmings and stump from the premises. read more

I had 5 very large, very mature, Australian Bottle Trees removed from the yard of my rental property in Chandller. From the direct, no-nonsense delivery of the fair cost estimate, to the professional and clean removal and stump grind of the trees, I was completely satisfied. The team showed up on-time, removed the trees safely and quickly using a crane to avoid damage to my home and HVAC unit. They even ground two tree stumps embedded in a brick paver patio without issue or damage to the patio. I would highly recommend Hayward for any tree service needs and will certainly use them again in the future. They're back-office personnel is very accommodating and friendly as well, making the entire process very simple and issue-free. read more

Hayward's crew was fabulous as far as getting our tree removed. Very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Their set up and take down as well as clean up for both us and our neighbor was just fantastic. Also, office staff responded quickly and took good care of us as far as set up and appointment scheduling. Phil came out and did the estimate in a very timely manner. So glad we chose Hayward again (we used them many years ago, also). Really happy their service is still as good as we remembered. Just wonderful. read more

I just had Hayward Tree Scapes remove two mesquite trees from my backyard. Nothing but good things to say about this crew. Their bid was competitive. In fact, it was the best of 3 for removing two trees. They arrived on time and completed the job in 1.5 hours including removing both trees, grinding out the stumps and complete cleanup. They brought a large crane and lifted each tree from the yard thereby protecting my yard from damage. It was quite entertaining watching entire trees being lifted and placed in the street. Give these guys a try. read more

Another great experience! In and out quickly, cleanest yard on the block, and no worries when the winds pick up! This was our second year to have tree trimming. The guys are nice and super fast. Our trees look like a magazine! They have the right tools, and I would recommend them highly! read more

I used the company for 2 years on the recommendation of a friend. Palm removal-went well. Deep citrus fertilization-went well. I asked the arborist his opinion about my citrus. Response: "Your gardeners are trimming them into balls & they think they are bushes. So let them grow out, we will come back & start shaping." Six months later, please come back & trim my citrus trees. I came home from work and they were-------balls. I called to express my disappointment. I talked to the arborist (a different one, not convinced she really was an arborist, rather the girl in the next desk) who said "some people like balls, you should have said you don't." I asked if there were notes from my previous visit. "No, we don't keep them." So I paid an outrageous amount of money for something my gardeners were doing each month as part of my service. I should not have paid for this, but I did and I am moving on. read more

After years of sensing danger from a 69 foot high palm tree "kissing" the fascia of my building, I called Hayward. They own their own crane AND they carry proper insurance. My trio of palms were airlifted over my precious house without incident. Price was fair for the service provided and now I can stop worrying. What is that worth ??? Experience is key coupled with the right equipment. read more

2019 Hayward did a new crown thinning on two different very old mesquite trees. As usual, Hayward did a great job. They surgically removed specific branches that allows the tree to grow during the summer, most branches have access to light, but the tree still provides shade. The typical dead mesquite branches were all removed, the shape of the tree was retained - these trees adopted an interesting, twisted bonsai shape over time and Hayward respected the inherent pattern of the trees. I think I picked up 4 small twigs afterwards, the grass was in great shape, my landscape lights were undamaged, can't recommend these guys more. read more

From the initial call requesting an estimate, to the completion of the job yesterday, we were thoroughly impressed with Hayward Tree Service! She was great on the phone and email providing estimate details, and Phil got right back to me with job details etc. When they arrived yesterday morning it was apparently these guys have ALL the equipment to do the job, including a massive crane, a stumper and the largest chipper I have ever seen. 4 50' palms were cut, hoisted and ground up in about an hour! The crew was was courteous , safe, careful of the property and surroundings, and cleanup was thorough. Pricing was very fair-I highly recommend them for any kind of tree service ! read more

An absolute disaster!!! Paid $1025 for them to butcher and destroy my Mesquite. Had them thin two others which were simply cut at the end of the branches. Asked them to come back after several months to make any corrections they could and was told that I likely had some landscaper butcher the tree in the meantime and it was my problem. Had another tree service come out and they could not believe I paid for this. It had to be the first time this crew did a job. No thinning at all and just cut off the end of branches. The tree will never be the same. There own employee could not believe it. A COMPLETE DISASTER. DO NOT USE THEM. gflaa read more

I needed a VERY large cactus removed from my backyard very close to my house. It was leaning and I worried it would fall and do tremendous damage. I found them on google search, contacted them and sent photos. They came to inspect the area and how they could remove this heavy cactus. The team showed up on schedule - set all up and got it out so easily. And cleaned up all debris so the yard looked perfect when they left. Manny was amazing climbing on ladder to cut cactus and prepping it to be lifted out by the crane. And Phil was a master at setting up the crane and handling the crane to lift the cut pieces out. These people are pros!! I am so grateful to find them and strongly recommend! read more

These guys are the ones to call. I had two other companies come out to provide estimates. They were reasonable but I still did not want to pull the trigger. I didn't feel quite comfortable. I was wishing (actually praying) that I could find or make the right decision. One of the trees had a huge limb probably as big around as a large frisbee going over my house. So I drove past an apartment complex that Hayward was at and they were doing tree trimming and I was stuck behind a school bus. So while I was behind a school bus I was watching these guys and I was super impressed. I called the number on their huge truck set up an appointment and they were a little more expensive than the other two companies but I will always call Hayward. Their work is perfect. There was a crew leader named Manny. This guy is five star. Any year when I have them come back out to trim again I am going to request Manny. read more

Great experience. Got a response quickly and a free quote within a couple days. The quote was easy to understand and they broke down the cost the way I asked them to so I could decide what trees I wanted them to do. I didn't get any pressure to book an appointment which was nice. I ended up going with them because their quote beat out another one. They came when they said they would, did a great job and I was able to leave a check under the doormat and didn't need to be there. Great co. Will use again. read more

I did not hire this company, but was so impressed with their customer service I wanted to write a review. I got five quotes to have a very large pine tree removed from my front yard. I'm on a very tight budget, and one other company gave me a slightly better rate. Don't know if I'll regret my decision, as I have not yet received the work. Someone at Hayward answered my call right away, so I didn't have to leave a message and wait for a reply. She was very professional, took all my information, and scheduled an estimate for the very next day. I was then sent a confirmation text (which I had agreed was okay when I originally called... I know not everyone likes to communicate via text). The estimate was scheduled within a three hour window which was met in a timely fashion. An estimate was emailed to me almost immediately after their visit. I was then given a phone call the very next day to follow up and make sure I had received the estimate. Customer service is everything in my opinion and these guys really hit it home. Although they were beat by one other company, they gave me a VERY reasonable quote. They outbid the next lowest company by $200 and the most expensive company by $400, so I think you'll be getting a great deal if you use these guys. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

One hire, 2 NO SHOWS! We got an estimate for the front trees and it was ok, so we hired them for the tree trimming. Waited between 8am-12pm, no show. They ended up coming after 12:40pm to do the work. Worked looked good so we asked for an estimate to cut down and kill roots of a tree in the back. I took hours off of work to wait for their 11am-2pm window and they never came. No call, no note. Turns out they were here "early" and we never got a price for what we needed. Who can afford to just wait around all day for someone who might not show up. read more

The Hayward crew was very professional and safe. They were on time and cut down our pine tree very quickly. We asked them to cut some slices out for our children and they did a great job doing that too. Once the tree was removed, the crew completely cleaned up the street and front lawn. We have used Hayward several times in the past. They are always consistent in their service. I highly recommend Hayward for any of your tree services. read more
