These guys are AWSOME! They were at 9:45 to take down two huge palms and were finished and cleaned up and gone by 11:30! They had to remove a few concrete edge stones in the front to get the crane truck in closer and even replaced the stones before they left. The whole crew was so nice and efficient. Wish I had a good experience as other reviewers. I found the price quite high for the work that was done. I had 4 trees trimmed and they didn't really do a great job. I have been trimming more and more since they were here. Also the clean-up was less than acceptable. Had another company a couple years ago and they did a better job for half the price. Their estimate person was top notch, no hassle, honest, and great to work with on the estimate. I called and described my situation (I have two large Eucalyptus trees in dire need of trimming and oleanders), they said they would have the schedulers call to set up an appointment for sometime on Monday. I Never received the 2nd call to set up the appointment. They just showed up.....I thought ok, maybe some miscommunication. They looked over the tree and my wife (i was not home due to miscommunication) asked they call me since I had more in depth knowledge about what is needed. They never called. After several days I called them. Their response "Oh we decided not to give you a quote....sorry". Hayward came out yesterday to trim a few palms as well as a sumac that was close to the house and pretty overgrown. Palms look good as expected; the sumac is what really made a difference - They trimmed the greenery up to about roof height, and trimmed away from the roof and my neighbors fence. It is insane how much brighter it looks in that corner of the yard, and you can actually see that side of the house - makes it all look that much better. They cleaned up and hauled away all debris and also cleaned up around trees. Will be using them again as needed. read more

Disappointed. I called to get an estimate to trim 4 Mexican and 2 Queen palms and to remove 4 ficus that were planted by previous owner in alleyway between my house and my neighbors. Before calling I checked their website to see if they serviced Goodyear, then double checked with the woman I spoke to on the phone. I will say that the person I spoke with was very nice. I was told because I was so close to the 10 they could service and was told the arborist would come by the following Monday, I called on Thursday. The next day I received a reminder text and given 3 hour window for my appointment and asked to confirm which I did. An hour and 43 minutes into my 3 hour window, I receive a text telling me the estimator has advised them that I am no longer in their service area. I have no issue with them not serving my area, my issue is that they made the appointment, confirmed the appointment and had me waiting around for them. read more

Customer service left a bit to be desired, but they did what they said they'd do and did a great job. They removed a big tree that cracked in a storm, and the stump too. I just had Hayward Tree Scapes remove two mesquite trees from my backyard. Nothing but good things to say about this crew. Their bid was competitive. In fact, it was the best of 3 for removing two trees. They arrived on time and completed the job in 1.5 hours including removing both trees, grinding out the stumps and complete cleanup. They brought a large crane and lifted each tree from the yard thereby protecting my yard from damage. It was quite entertaining watching entire trees being lifted and placed in the street. I used the company for 2 years on the recommendation of a friend. Palm removal-went well. Deep citrus fertilization-went well. I asked the arborist his opinion about my citrus. Response: "Your gardeners are trimming them into balls & they think they are bushes. So let them grow out, we will come back & start shaping." Six months later, please come back & trim my citrus trees. I came home from work and they were-------balls. I called to express my disappointment. I talked to the arborist (a different one, not convinced she really was an arborist, rather the girl in the next desk) who said "some people like balls, you should have said you don't." I asked if there were notes from my previous visit. "No, we don't keep them." So I paid an outrageous amount of money for something my gardeners were doing each month as part of my service. 2019 Hayward did a new crown thinning on two different very old mesquite trees. As usual, Hayward did a great job. They surgically removed specific branches that allows the tree to grow during the summer, most branches have access to light, but the tree still provides shade. The typical dead mesquite branches were all removed, the shape of the tree was retained - these trees adopted an interesting, twisted bonsai shape over time and Hayward respected the inherent pattern of the trees. I think I picked up 4 small twigs afterwards, the grass was in great shape, my landscape lights were undamaged, can't recommend these guys more. read more

She was great on the phone and email providing estimate details, and Phil got right back to me with job details etc. When they arrived yesterday morning it was apparently these guys have ALL the equipment to do the job, including a massive crane, a stumper and the largest chipper I have ever seen. 4 50' palms were cut, hoisted and ground up in about an hour! I needed a VERY large cactus removed from my backyard very close to my house. It was leaning and I worried it would fall and do tremendous damage. I found them on google search, contacted them and sent photos. They came to inspect the area and how they could remove this heavy cactus. The team showed up on schedule - set all up and got it out so easily. And cleaned up all debris so the yard looked perfect when they left. Manny was amazing climbing on ladder to cut cactus and prepping it to be lifted out by the crane. And Phil was a master at setting up the crane and handling the crane to lift the cut pieces out. These guys are the ones to call. I had two other companies come out to provide estimates. They were reasonable but I still did not want to pull the trigger. I didn't feel quite comfortable. I was wishing (actually praying) that I could find or make the right decision. One of the trees had a huge limb probably as big around as a large frisbee going over my house. So I drove past an apartment complex that Hayward was at and they were doing tree trimming and I was stuck behind a school bus. So while I was behind a school bus I was watching these guys and I was super impressed. I called the number on their huge truck set up an appointment and they were a little more expensive than the other two companies but I will always call Hayward. Their work is perfect. There was a crew leader named Manny. This guy is five star. Any year when I have them come back out to trim again I am going to request Manny. read more

One hire, 2 NO SHOWS! We got an estimate for the front trees and it was ok, so we hired them for the tree trimming. Waited between 8am-12pm, no show. They ended up coming after 12:40pm to do the work. Worked looked good so we asked for an estimate to cut down and kill roots of a tree in the back. I took hours off of work to wait for their 11am-2pm window and they never came. No call, no note. Turns out they were here "early" and we never got a price for what we needed. Who can afford to just wait around all day for someone who might not show up. read more

An absolute disaster!!! Paid $1025 for them to butcher and destroy my Mesquite. Had them thin two others which were simply cut at the end of the branches. Asked them to come back after several months to make any corrections they could and was told that I likely had some landscaper butcher the tree in the meantime and it was my problem. Had another tree service come out and they could not believe I paid for this. It had to be the first time this crew did a job. No thinning at all and just cut off the end of branches. These guys did an OUTSTANDING job today. We had 2 insanely huge and out-of-control Sissous in our backyard and they showed up on time and completed the job they quoted. They really did above and beyond. We are very happy with the way our trees were trimmed: they climbed up even the tallest branch (50ft?) and pruned and corrected the growth of these trees. We really hadn't expected that level of thoroughness and were quite impressed. They also did a great job on clean-up.. if you know Sissous, they are a total PITA when it comes to leaves.. they cleaned all the mess on their way out.
