First off, this is the same business as Kirkwood Plumbing. They operate under both names, but…read moreconfirmed to me that they were the same business, when I asked. I have a sewer clogging, where the sewer water backs up into the basement. I had a team of theirs here at my house. They came to run a camera in the line and also rotor it out if that was the issue. As they ran the camera, they told me the sewer line went to the alley. I told them that to my knowledge, it went to the street side, not the alley. I also told them that I know that there had been formerly a second house on this lot, but that it was demolished before I bought the place. I said that there was a "dead arm" of the sewer ending in the spot where the former building had been, but no longer active. The technicians said "no, your sewer line only goes to the alley, there is no line going to the front, to the main street. They then proceeded to rotor that old sewer line, which they said is longer than the 80 feet of cable they had available. And according to them, the sewer line was longer than that. They said that the blockage had to be further away, and with the 80 foot cable, they could not reach there. So, is there a rule that a sewer line can't be longer than 80 feet? I've never heard of that! Basically, they charged me 587 $ for camera work on a dead arm, no longer in service sewer line that they found. They also denied that I had an active line going out to the front of the house where the MSD sewer line goes. They did not solve my problem, but wanted to get paid anyway. I did pay them. They then told me that for 18,000 Dollars!!!!! they would like to come back and "fix" my non-existing sewer line issue. Today, I had MSD here at my home. They found where my sewer line enters the main MSD sewer line out on Bates street. They poured dye into two lines of my sewer: one access point in the front of my house, and one access point in the back of the house, from the basement stairwell. Result: YES, I have active sewer lines going from my house to the street. They let me see it for myself on the monitor in their truck! So Mr. Rooter did not do any efficient job for me, but they took the payment of 587.00 bucks for nothing, just wasting my time along the way. And 18,000 $ as in eighteen thousand dollars!!! for coming back and "finding" my sewer line or rather putting one into my house???? What should I call that???? You tell me!

I strongly recommend avoiding this company…read more We initially hired them to repair a plumbing leak. The repair was not done correctly, and the joint continued to leak. Although they stated their work was covered by a one-year warranty, when we called them back they simply attempted to smear additional PVC glue around the existing joint, which is not a proper repair and obviously did not solve the problem. After contacting them again, they returned and said a more extensive repair was required. At approximately 8:45 AM we were told the additional work would cost $200, which we approved. By the time they left around 3:30 PM, we were presented with a bill that was $700 more than the amount we approved, along with another hole cut into a different wall. They also performed work on our upstairs toilet that we never authorized. Unfortunately I had to leave partway through the day, but my girlfriend was home the entire time. Before I left after lunch, they told us everything was going well and that they were almost finished. At no point during the day did they contact us to approve additional work or inform us that the cost had increased dramatically. At best, this reflects a complete lack of transparency. At worst, it feels intentionally misleading and the stereotypical taking advantage of a woman. We were quoted one price in the morning, reassured midday that the job was nearly complete, and then presented with a significantly higher bill and additional work that was never discussed or approved. It was also troubling that these decisions were made without making any effort whatsoever to communicate the changes or obtain approval before proceeding. Between the failed initial repair, the improper "warranty fix," the lack of transparency, and the unauthorized work and charges, the experience was both costly and infuriating. I strongly encourage others to look for a plumbing company that operates with greater honesty and professionalism.

His bid says he is licensed. Not sure that's true. I am having a problem now with water leaking on the floor from an overflow from the heater. Sam talked to us July 3, 2025, we showed him pictures of the issue. Said he would be out asap to check situation. He blew us off. I'm sure because he knew he put it over the drain and blocked it. End of July 2025 and, after calling , texting, my husband calling, texting , I had to call a different company to come out and found out that Sam from Liberty Heating and Air moved the water heater to a different spot and over the drain so now I have to have it moved because water is flooding the basement and we have to put overflow hose in a bucket. This is going to cost$$$ Avoid Sam and Liberty Heating and Air Ridgetop address. He isn't a reputable service. Sam if you see this review and are honorable and properly take care of the problem you caused we will alter the review to reflect your ethics in correcting your mistake. Otherwise.......the value for your service is minus several hundreds of dollars and your name is mud. Shame on you. Well ,Sam is a good guy after all I said. He called me back, went to the property resolved the issue which turned out not to be a mistake he made but rather our tenant moving the overflow drain out of the drain. The other company said the water heater needed to be moved. Sam showed me proof he hadn't moved the location of the water heater from its original spot that it sat on for over 20 years. The other company could have put the drain hose back in the drain but chose not to. Another story. We are happy satisfied customers! I'd recommend Sam he is honorable. A happy ending.....

I have never received a more ridiculous bid. This company gave me a bid for $20,000 for a job that…read morewas done by another company for less than half of that price with a warranty. Shamrock's bid required tearing up concrete inside my basement bathroom and outdoor concrete sidewalk. The bid did not include fixing these things back to where they were just for the record. Meaning they would tear out the wall, the toilet, the sink, the tile, and I was responsible for getting rid of all the debris and replacing everything and putting it all back together. They basically said in the bid that they are not responsible for just about anything that happens while they are there and did not even give a quote on the length of pipe to be replaced. Meaning they could tell me anything once they opened up the ground and said oh well that wasn't included. They basically said if we damage the grinder pit that they aren't responsible for that. If the digging they do compromises the structural integrity of my deck that they aren't responsible. If their equipment gets stuck in a pipe, I am responsible to pay for the removal and repair of that. They aren't responsible for any damage caused by weather so then they can just leave everything as is and not worry about trying to mitigate anything. This contract was the biggest joke I had ever seen. It did not include a diagram of where the new pipes would go, how much of the concrete would be removed, where the new pipe would go and on and on. With a huge price tag and many disclaimers that said the price could end up being signifcantly higher than the original bid. The company I did hire fixed the pipe, did not tear up any concrete, inside or out, did not disturb the soil around my deck piers, and were done in less than a day. I had another company inspect their work and the project passed inspection. This cost less than half of Shamrocks ridiculous bid and came with a warranty. Shamrock wanted to destroy so much of my property for absolutely no reason, well, the reason was to walk away with big dollars and leave me with a nightmare.
