The newer unit was frozen over so he said he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it until the ice melted and the other was old and should be replaced. He became frustrated with me when I had trouble understanding what was causing the unit to freeze over if there was no Freon. He appeared arrogant and I was ready to send him home at that point, but my wife was mainly dealing with him and it was a hot day. When I complained to my wife about him she said that maybe I shouldn't have bothered him while he was working and that he was very nice to her. After examining the units he spent a while discussing our options which included a new air conditioning to replace the older one or adding 5 pounds of AR-22 freon for $1100. He wanted to charge $7,500 for the new unit which seemed reasonable, but he couldn't do it until next week and, after a quick Google search, I told him $1100 was high for adding freon. Then he once again appeared upset and asked me what I was talking about. When I explained that I quickly looked it up and knew that It usually costs maybe $500-$750 he conceded that I could find it cheaper elsewhere. Then he told us it was $125 dollars for the visit. I told him that he can't charge me for the visit because nobody notified us that there would be any charge. He said that he doesn't work for free. But I told him that without prior notification of a service charge, I didn't believe it was legal for him to charge me considering he didn't do any diagnostic testing or any repair work. He just looked around and told me something any technician could have discovered in a few minutes. He then while standing in our kitchen played the whole recording of the conversation my wife had with the dispatcher to learn that we were right and we were never notified that there would be any charge. Two days later we had Meyer Heating and Air do a same day installation for the same $7500 and they added freon to the other unit for free when the $333 leak detection didn't reveal any leaks. Plus the reps at Meyer were very pleasant to work with so I gave Meyer a 5 star review and Design a 1 star review.

The tech guys got it up and running and I was happy to have heat again. The one problem I had, and still do, is when the furnace comes on it sounds like a train is in the next room. It's very loud. Later I heard a lot of noise in the furnace area and investigated and found a lot of plaster pieces on the floor and a large hole in the ceiling above the furnace. I called the Sales guy, Jim, and explained what I saw. He immediately started blaming me and said they were not responsible for anything. I regretted even calling him. I was not asking him to replace the ceiling, I just wanted someone to look at it. I then called the office and talked to the Receptionist who was so sweet and very nicely told me they would have someone come out and look at it, which they did. I was told there was a small hole, to begin with, and with all the work that was done, it probably messed with the hole. I would have liked it if they could have just covered it up with a piece of wood but it wasn't offered.

I had emailed another hvac company but they failed to respond to my email, so I called them but all I received was phone tags between the answering service and me. Very frustrating. We called Air Excellence due to a minor smell of gas when the heat would kick on. Brad came by and checked our entire furnace out. Made sure everything was looking normal. After he cleaned everything up and put it all back together we ran a few test runs to see if we could still smell the gas. We could and he recommended we call Laclede to get out here and check to see what was going on. I am very thankful he did. He could have gave some bs reason as to why it was leaking charge me an absurd amount of money and move on to the next job but he didn't. Brad stayed at the house until Laclede showed up and gave him a brief run down. After about 3 hours of searching Laclede finally found the leak. I called Brad back to tell him what we found and the part that needed to be fixed. He asked if he wanted me to have him come fix it right then and I told him tomorrow would be fine. Brad got me a quick price quote and everything the next morning and was out the next afternoon. He replaced the control valve in about 30 minutes and was on his way. Overall this was a great experience for a new home buyer. Brads price was amazing and his professional was second to none. I will be calling him for all Ac/heating needs from now on.

Called Energy Stars to come take a look at it (we had purchased the unit from them 5 years earlier), and they said 'because of the high temperatures and multiple people calling in with problems, it would take a couple of days before a technician could show up. Two days later, Eric from Energy Stars arrived to check out my outside AC condenser. As soon as he started to diagnose the problem outside, a rainstorm moved in and it rained the entire time he was outside working on my problem. He explained the issue was a faulty 'high pressure switch' in the condenser. Since he didn't have one in the truck, he 'temporarily fixed' the issue until they could order the switch and get someone back out to swap it out. Long story short, the temp in my house has gone from high 80's back down to mid 70's. Energy Stars called back later that afternoon to confirm they had ordered the switch and set up an appointment to return to install it. The part was covered under warranty (a 10-year warranty), though we will have to pay labor charges. Thanks to Eric who was knowledgeable, polite, and quick to fix the issue.

One wore shorts that exposed his butt crack because he had no underwear. That's not the worst. I had a coupon from their website which never got recorded so that was a joke. Never got the $20 discount. Then the worst was there was a Spire (Laclede gas) rebate for $200. Never got the paperwork to submit that though was told it was there to do. Where does this company get their technicians? From Mongolia or worse? Professionalism means more than doing a job it means showing up as a human being and shaved and not being some caveman.

I have two Mitsubishi split units one works great the other has had at least 12 repairs and were unable to get replacement. Was given Mitsubishi customer service which is useless as they do not call back. When I finally talked with the owner of Agers he informed me he had sold his business to air comfort and really had nothing left to help me. I finally had Hoffman out they founds some wiring issues and again are replacing electronic boards. Mitsubishi and I believe Cresent who I believe is their distributor could not repair and refused to replace. When I called Air Comfort I spoke with a very nice lady who then informed me to take it up again with Agers who I just told you was bought out by Air Comfort. So be careful they say they will respect Agers warranties and product dispositions but it does not look that way. I have filed with the BBB and will more than cost them business compared to a replacement cost of a unit. Enter with this company cautiously.

When you schedule service you will get a text confirmation. The nice young lady will call you the day of to remind you and the tech will call when they're on their way.
