Climate Masters have been servicing our boiler for the better part of thirty years. They knew what they were doing and were EXTREMELY informative. They showed me how our system worked, they took the time to explain everything from lighting the pilot light to bleeding the radiators. After Climate Masters finished the job, I was surprised to realize ... wow, even mechanical systems could be visually attractive. This was because the installers, Scott and Ethan, did an absolutely meticulous and exacting job. Our house is a 6400 sqft three story built in 1906. During the winter, the hvac system we had in place was never able to properly heat up the home. While driving one day, I spotted one of the Climate Masters' trucks with the motto, "we specialize in older homes" and wondered if they could fix our hvac setup. Tom came to assess and bid the job, and I must give thanks to how patient he was during the process. I took an excessive amount of time to decide, and yet Tom followed up throughout this period. Climate Masters ended up installing a large 140K BTU gas furnace, ran new black iron gas piping, and redid sections of our duct work. Part of the work involved cutting through a kitchen floor with brick veneer. Scott was able to shape the vent opening beautifully. The result was that for the first time ever, the house felt ... toasty during cold weather. When Spire came to activate the gas, servicemen on two separate occasions saw the installation and, without prompting, asked me which company did the job. When I asked why, they both said, "oh, it's because they did a great job!" Everyone I interacted with throughout the process has been wonderful: Scott and Ethan came promptly at 8 am each day and finished a huge job in 1.5 weeks; Doug was great with follow up logistics, and Jennifer always friendly and helpful with office paperwork. read more

It seems like these guys don't really have the best internal communication, and they're not really willing to do more than what's asked of them. My specific situation involved my AC unit showing signs of disrepair for months (and the unit being old as well), but no one thought to recommend me a new unit. When my unit stopped and needed TOTAL REPLACEMENT in the middle of a heatwave, I asked the technicians why they hadn't mentioned a replacement the last three visits. Of course, though, no one can see the future, and even an old AC unit with a coolant leak and faulty switch can give you years more of service. I paid a pretty fair price for a new unit with installation and permits and all - about 6k - so I can't complain too much. I just wish that the maintenance that I routinely pay them for had prevented or at least anticipated a five-day-stretch of no AC in STL heat. read more

I couldn't be happier with Climate Masters. I needed to replace my main floor HVAC and balance the airflow upstairs. They expertly installed a new furnace and AC for my main floor. One of the best things about these guys is they have an old school attitude. They are not a big corporation or business looking to pressure or upsell you on anything, so they are easy to work with. They give you a quote for what you need and if you want something fancy, they can do it for you, but they don't push you into it. They will give you a couple of pragmatic options for your house, but that's it. Plus their prices are excellent. My upstairs HVAC was a hot mess. For a bargain price, they expertly analyzed my issues and came up with a low cost, common-sense solution. Along the way as they noticed little problems and fixed them on the fly to make the system function better overall. A night and day difference on my second floor. Scheduling was a breeze, they even let me pick an install date that was convenient for me and showed up that day. The installers were a couple of nice guys. They gave us the heads up whenever they were going to do anything disruptive to the house. They listened to me carefully about the results I was trying to achieve and did their best to make it happen. They even did a pretty good job cleaning up after themselves, must have good moms. My mother's Climate Masters' purchased (Carrier brand) heat pump has been broken for 6+ months. Climate Masters has given excuse after excuse for not servicing it. It's under warranty, so they won't make any extra money for the repair. First it was too hot to worry about it, then too cold, and now the part isn't in. Calls are never returned, and she or I has to hound CM to get a response. The owner called at the beginning of Dec, after canceling the appointment to come fix the unit, and said, "If I don't get back to you by the new year, then give me a call...but I haven't forgotten about you." ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!??? They'll bend over backwards to get your biz, but then if you need servicing and it's under warranty, don't count on getting any level of acceptable service. Climate Masters just installed a new air conditioning system in our older home, replacing the one that they originally installed 24 years ago when we moved in! The new system is fantastic. It was a hot day when they had to install the attic blower system, but they did it fast and efficiently. This is why we have used them consistently these many years for our heating/cooling needs. I have appointments set up with this company to come out and fix my AC unit. The first time they said they would be out they never showed up when I called back the woman who answer the phone you claim to be a secretary stated it was my fault that I wasn't there when they showed up even though I know I was there the entire day, May 2nd appointment they said they would be there between 9 and 12 that morning. They called about 1 to 1:30 that afternoon just state that they were running late and they would be there within a half an hour to 45 minutes mind you I've already put together one day for them to show up and they never did this time they show up late. I explained I was not at the house any longer and they would have to call back. The woman got very upset and rude on the phone with me saying she doesn't like to deal with rental properties because they are such a pain in the butt. The woman then advised that I was rude and condescending to her. I explained to her that I was frustrated with the level of professionalism that they showed towards me I had never use their service before and this was the treatment I was getting after the first time calling them. I asked to speak to her boss or the owner of the company and her exact statement was " the owner is unavailable and won't want to talk to you anyway your complaints do not matter since you're not a customer". Just be aware that these people of crooks they treat people I'm professionally they are horrible business to deal with. Be warned read more

I've used these guys for years and they're really good at getting things done the way I like. The serviceman Scott is very polite and has worked on my system for many years now. When my heat went out a few years back, the salesman was upfront about the costs and didn't try to oversell the most expensive system, only what I really needed. I don't know what the deal is with those first couple of reviews because these guys really take care of me and I'll be a customer for life! read more
