The tech guys got it up and running and I was happy to have heat again. The one problem I had, and still do, is when the furnace comes on it sounds like a train is in the next room. It's very loud. Later I heard a lot of noise in the furnace area and investigated and found a lot of plaster pieces on the floor and a large hole in the ceiling above the furnace. I called the Sales guy, Jim, and explained what I saw. He immediately started blaming me and said they were not responsible for anything. I regretted even calling him. I was not asking him to replace the ceiling, I just wanted someone to look at it. I then called the office and talked to the Receptionist who was so sweet and very nicely told me they would have someone come out and look at it, which they did. I was told there was a small hole, to begin with, and with all the work that was done, it probably messed with the hole. I would have liked it if they could have just covered it up with a piece of wood but it wasn't offered.

As usual, I contacted numerous companies for bids. I reached out to a couple of the big name companies, and one guy who lives in my neighborhood. All of which quoted me over 10k. I would later find out that these companies were trying to sell me a higher seer rating, and more tonnage than my small home would ever need. Mr Patrico was upfront and honest about all this, and came in under half the cost of the next lowest bid. When he showed up to do the work, he was efficient and cleaned up everything when he was done. Super nice, personable guy who will shoot you straight. I most definitely recommend giving him a shout for any HVAC needs.

Thomas came to our house to look at 2 air conditioning units that weren't working. He said that…read moreboth units were out of Freon. The newer unit was frozen over so he said he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it until the ice melted and the other was old and should be replaced. He became frustrated with me when I had trouble understanding what was causing the unit to freeze over if there was no Freon. He appeared arrogant and I was ready to send him home at that point, but my wife was mainly dealing with him and it was a hot day. When I complained to my wife about him she said that maybe I shouldn't have bothered him while he was working and that he was very nice to her. After examining the units he spent a while discussing our options which included a new air conditioning to replace the older one or adding 5 pounds of AR-22 freon for $1100. He wanted to charge $7,500 for the new unit which seemed reasonable, but he couldn't do it until next week and, after a quick Google search, I told him $1100 was high for adding freon. Then he once again appeared upset and asked me what I was talking about. When I explained that I quickly looked it up and knew that It usually costs maybe $500-$750 he conceded that I could find it cheaper elsewhere. Then he told us it was $125 dollars for the visit. I told him that he can't charge me for the visit because nobody notified us that there would be any charge. He said that he doesn't work for free. But I told him that without prior notification of a service charge, I didn't believe it was legal for him to charge me considering he didn't do any diagnostic testing or any repair work. He just looked around and told me something any technician could have discovered in a few minutes. He then while standing in our kitchen played the whole recording of the conversation my wife had with the dispatcher to learn that we were right and we were never notified that there would be any charge. Two days later we had Meyer Heating and Air do a same day installation for the same $7500 and they added freon to the other unit for free when the $333 leak detection didn't reveal any leaks. Plus the reps at Meyer were very pleasant to work with so I gave Meyer a 5 star review and Design a 1 star review.

Each time Hank has responded to my initial call within in a matter of hours and has made appointments with me to be on-site the following day. I also feel that he has been EXTREMELY fair on pricing for each repair. He even showed me how to clean and maintain our ac units and change filters on his first visit. Today, a new issue came up, I called and spoke with their answering service, and like clockwork Hank called me back within a couple of hours. Of course they are crazy busy right now as we've went from spring to summer overnight. Hank told me it would probably be a couple days before he could get out this time (understandably so), however he took time out of his schedule to triage the problem with me over the phone/text pics and walked me through how to fix the issue myself. Granted, this was a very simple fix, but I can't say enough how much I appreciate this level of customer service when I know he's busy. He could have easily had me wait for a service call and charged me to come out to fix it. Thanks, Vasill Heating and Air Conditioning! Thanks, Hank!

I've used No Problem Heating and Cooling for well over a decade and seriously, I swear by them. I had a problem a decade ago and they took care of it quickly so I got the club membership that gets them to come out twice a year to clean the system and see if it looks like we are headed for trouble. And if I have a problem I get ahead of folks who it's unclear whether they do maintenance. Until this year, they only recommended small things be replaced so yeah in January we did the whole system replacement. They gave me options and let me make a truly informed decision with real numbers, etc. I have rarely had to call between check ups, but yesterday something was off and the cooling just wasn't doing it's part so I called & left a message on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. Within an hour or so, I had a text from Mindy (she keeps things moving I tell you!) saying they see there is a problem and they will be in touch first thing in the morning. Here I am less than 24 hours later with a fuse replaced and no worries. Mindy is great about working with me to schedule something that fits my calendar. I get reminders on appointment times and a text that tells me the tech is on the way -- heck you even get a photo, name, etc so you can talk to them by name and know whether this is the same tech as last time, etc. Pics are from past visits cause Mike was here, had it taken care of and gone so quick I never even thought about it.
