The gentleman from Inman in Illinois came to my house within 1 hour, and because he only had to reattach a loose wire, he did not charge me at all! Called inman very early a.m. for heater da to urge and someone returned my call before their office even opened. I thought Hey this is going to be a great experience. Then someone showed up at my house within 3 hours and diagnosed that I needed a control board and an induction motor. $1,600.00, or by a whole new unit for $4,500.00. I sent them packing and contacted Fresh Air. They were at my house within 30 minutes and explained the Inman Tech had mis diagnosed and I only need circuit board for $600. My unit is up and running great this morning. Save myself $1,000. Bait and switch at its best. Will never use or refer them again. read more

I had an issue with my furnace the first cold day of the year. They came out to the house the same day I called. Long story short, my "tinkering" got it running but I thought it would require a replacement part. Upon inspection of the unit by Craig, he determined that it didn't require any additional work at this time. He could have done some unnecessary work and stuck me with a bill but didn't. This is the Second Time I used Inman Heating and Cooling. The First time was the Air Conditioner about 2 years ago. I Love the commercials on KSHE 95. Matthew, the Service Technician arrived right on time. He diagnosed the Unit and within about 15 minutes and within 30 minutes I had heat. He was a very fine young man and explained everything about the Unit and what he was doing. A dirty Heat Detector and put in a new filter that was next to the Unit. He also told me I may need to change the filter every 2 months instead of every three months. . I have told my friends if they need someone use Inman Air. My wife texted me because if it was Bart she wanted to come home and meet him. I called the office to thank Matthew and left a message. I had been looking for a HVAC contractor for a while. From the first moment I called these guys, it was a different experience. A human answered the phone on the 2nd ring at lunch time during the work week. Within 10 minutes we had scheduled an appointment time. At the appointment time, it wasn't just a rookie or a salesman, the owner of the company came to my house. He was a nice old guy and was very honest. Unlike the other companies I talked to, they were ready to go and get a new system installed on my schedule instead of theirs. The day of the install it was pouring down rain. The installer called me to tell me they were running a bit late, but they actually showed up 10 minutes early to the appointment. It took 2 days, but I now have a new working system in my house. They also diagnosed a malfunctioning sump pump and installed a new one for me at no extra cost. These guys are great and I would highly recommend them. read more

These folks are amazing! I called because my ac wasn't cooling the house. A service tech was here in a matter of hours. My ac unit had a major leak. Instead of pushing me into a new unit, I was given all of my options and didn't feel pressured into any of them. The service tech was professional and courteous. I decided to replace both the ac and furnace units (they were about 20 years old). He scheduled me for the very next morning. The installation team was top notch! We called them as our a/c unit had gone out. The lady who answered the phone mumbled so much that I didn't understand much of what she said, but I was pretty sure they were coming to help us. Two hours later my husband called to clarify and the lady told him they would be here sometime and if he wanted faster service he could call someone else, so thats exactly what we did. Sigman Heating and Air Conditioning was here in 30 minutes and they were kind and concise on the phone. Unfortunately because of Inman we had to pay an after-hours fee! They have also helped me out on rental properties I have by putting in new units when needed or repairing them if possible. Every time I call and have a problem Craig comes right out or sends one of his workers out to check on it usually within the same day or the very next day. Our A/C went out during a heat wave recently and it was up to 83 degrees in the house which was starting to get uncomfortable. I called a different company which wasn't going to be able to fit us in for 2.5 days. I called Inman on a whim to see what they could arrange. They were able to come out within 2 hours and had the problem fixed in 15 min. I was able to go to sleep in a cool house that night. Not only was Craig friendly and prompt but he was also very generous. I have referred them twice since then and have only heard good things. I can't say enough good things about this company! 6 years ago I hired Inman Heating & Cooling to install a new furnace in my home. I was told it was top-of-the-line, high efficiency. From the start this unit has been nothing but trouble. After a few years, I had to make another call for repairs & they told me, and my now ex-husband, that my warranty was expired & charged parts & labor for that visit. Later I ended up calling Spengler for plumbing issues & they offered me a deal on all services. I called them several times & paid parts/labor each & every time. 7 wks ago my furnace yet again ceased to function so I called Spengler & was told the board & motor need to be replaced for $1700 & the entire unit would need to be replaced by fall. I called Inman asking why this 6-yr-old, "top-of-the-line", "high-efficiency" unit is constantly breaking down & needs to be replaced. I spoke with a very rude receptionist, & when I explained the situation, she countered with why didn't you call us? I explained my past experience & how someone from their company told me my warranty was expired so I went with another company. I said I've had to call them so many times & the unit is still having issues. She said, you never called us & we not send someone out. I said that's not what I said. She said she'd put in a call & someone would call me back. I got a call from a service tech asking the same questions. I told them what Spengler told me & he proceeded to bad mouth Spengler saying they are full of (foul language), they are just trying to cheat me, they don't know what they're talking about, there's no way their diagnosis would be correct. He came to my home & confirmed the diagnosis. He also called in the serial number & found out my warranty is good for another 4 yrs. I asked why I was told it expired, he had no answer. I asked why this 6-yr-old unit keeps breaking down, he blamed it on the government. So, he replaced the board & said the motor needs to be picked up & he'd be back the following day. I waited, no call, no show. The following wk I called the company, same rude receptionist. She asked me again for my info, said she'd call, & rushed me off the phone. Every wk for following 6 wks I called, same woman, same conversation, no response. I called last week, stated this is my 7th call in 7 wks & no one has called me back. I want to talk to your boss. She asked me for my info again & said she'd put in a call. Nothing. The next day I called again, same thing. A few hrs later I get a call from the same service tech from 7 wks ago. He scheduled to meet me the following wk from 9-11 am. Day came, hrs past, no call, no show. I called the techs phone #, no answer. I called the company, same woman said she'd put in a call. 3:30 pm he calls me. Said he didn't even look @ his schedule when he left, he forgot, he can come out tomorrow. I said no, today. He said he'd have to call & see if my parts were in. What?!? I asked why it took him 7 wks, he said he knew I still had heat & every time the receptionist called him he said he'd call me but got busy & forgot. Where is the customer service, professionalism, ethics? Still haven't heard from the boss as I requested. Maybe now he'll hear from me. read more
