They got an estimator here promptly Monday morning and were able to arrange a service team later that day. Cameron and Pete were outstanding: very neat, professional, and courteous. The job looked textbook after they finished, and they explained everything well, including walking me through the registration and warranty from the manufacturer. LaMartina will remain my go-to plumbers.

The filters needed to be mounted and the a part that diverted the filtration to cold water only had to be swapped out. The estimate to mount the filters and use their hoses, even though they were included in kit, was $960.00. Glad the job was done better than my friend left it and my landlord helped me pay it as I expected maybe $450-$500 for the completed job. Will not be using this company again. Also, rather difficult to speak any staff prior to visit to my place. What's up with that?

After running some diagnostics, they discovered that the capacitors had failed. Replaced both of them for about $450, plus $129 diagnostic fee. From start to finish, this took less than an hour. Technician was upfront about the possibility that another component could have failed as well, such as the fan motor, which could incur additional cost, or even replacement of the whole unit. They were able to email me an invoice complete with pictures immediately after the job.

This bid was actually less than the competitors, and they had not been around as long as Harster! It was an easy choice. We scheduled to do the replacement in January. Jim and his team came out to do the install and addressed some additional needs to increase the air flow, make the existing unit up to proper code, and make the filter track so it fit filters appropriately. The last unit installation I'm sure was a DIY job or done by a less qualified company. Jim addressed all those issues. I was on a meeting when he was all finished and didn't get to go see the finished product until after he left. It was beautifully done and very neat.

My furnace stopped working and I called Harster after reading the other reviews on Yelp. The receptionist was very nice and she had a technician out in less than 2 hours. I ended up needing a new system, but two of the nicest and most informative technicians came out the very next day and completed the work. They talked to me about the system and what I can do to maintain it. The price was fair and what they quoted originally did not change after the work had been done. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We called Hoffman Bro's first because they deal with both, and they charged us ~$300 to tell us the same thing as Spire and suggest we call a chimney sweep to check the flue pipe for blockages. Luckily, an acquantance gave us Crestside Ballwin's number. The receptionist called Dave over to learn about the problem and within a minute he figured that the roofers we had over a few weeks ago probably botched the install of the new flue pipe cap.
