This flange prevents water from going into the ceiling space below the bathroom and raining down into the room below (yes this was happening). Texted my plumber, and he doesn't unclog drains, so he gave me the number for Daniel at All Purpose. 12/8 Called Daniel, who came out that day. He was friendly and polite, spent around 40 minutes in my basement, and I paid $138.00 for the service of unclogging the drain. Seemed reasonable to me. 12/10 Did a small load of laundry and the same thing happened. Texted Daniel. No response. He'd mentioned how swamped he was, so I figured he was simply busy and would get back to me when he could. 12/14 Having waited through the weekend plus a couple of grace days, I called Daniel and left a message. No response. 12/17 Called again. Daniel answered, said he was swamped and couldn't get to me until the following Monday or Tuesday, but he was on the highway and said he'd let me know when he could look at his schedule. He didn't call back. 12/21 The holidays are fast approaching, and I'm now hand-washing my clothes. Called Daniel again and left yet another message. No response. 12/22 It's now been two weeks of waiting, so I gave up and called another company. They came out that day and fixed my problem--a pipe that was almost completely blocked by tree roots (there are photos and video of this). They said it was fortunate that I didn't end up with a flooded basement, and they couldn't understand why All Purpose wouldn't have come at the problem from outside. 12/22 Called Daniel yet again and told him I wanted a refund. He seemed exasperated and told me I was calling his private cell number. (How would I have known that? It's the number my plumber gave me. Why not say something before? And seriously? *He's* annoyed with *me*?! Sheesh...) I got annoyed right back. Then he told me he'll refund my money and to never call him again. 1/5 As of today, I still haven't gotten my money back. Needless to say, I strongly advise against using this company. I think they're probably okay as long as nothing goes wrong ... or they're not too busy or whatever. But in my case, they didn't stand behind their work, didn't call me back after they took my money, and now won't give me the refund I was promised.
