Chilled crab bisque
Sharon W.

Awesome experience! The service, food and ambiance were all perfect for our anniversary dinner. We had the Sweet Caroline (which was pear flavored, with a brown-sugared rim) and an old fashioned to start. Then we both got soups, the chilled crab bisque and the French onion soup, which were both amazing. I ordered the scallops and my husband had the surf and turf. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the scallops were delicious as well. Best restaurant at JW Marriott!

Tucked away near the serene spa tower at The Resort @ Summerlin/ JW Marriott. Luis our waiter was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the day we went, Hawthorn Grill didn't have the Porterhouse so we opted for the Bone In Ribeye. The Bone In Ribeye was sliced for sharing, but came out a bit over cooked as we asked for medium. It was a bit more on the medium well side. The Baked Red King Crab Cake was packed with lots of crab meat. The Fully Loaded Potato was split in half for us. Even with the split, it was more than for two people to share. The Creamed Spinach has nutmeg with gives it a strange flavor for me. The Exotic Mushroom Dish had 3 different types of mushrooms. We enjoyed the bountiful bread choices in the bread basket.

Yes yes and yes!! Happy hours at the bar is the best. The secret is out and it's always busy so be prepared to fight for a seat. Normally, we grab a few glasses of wine. Their shrimp cocktail is unbelievable. The burger is unreal and the bartenders are amazing - Desiree and Jack!

What a gem this place is. Enjoyed bites and drinks from the happy hour menu. Food and service was amazing along with the live music. This will be a local favorite of mine. Didn't break the bank either.

Hawthorne Grill is one of the best spots I've visited recently. The ambiance is excellent, the staff is friendly, and both the appetizers and cocktails are top-notch! I stopped by for Happy Hour and was seated immediately at a comfortable sofa right in front of the big screen. It was perfect for catching the Miami vs. Indianapolis game. Whether you're looking for a new Happy Hour spot or a beautiful setting for a date night, this is the place. It's clean, spacious, classy but not over the top, and beautifully decorated with high-quality furniture.

Fade to Black is unbelievably delicious!

I came here yesterday, Saturday, for happy hour with two of my best friends to celebrate a fun bday happy hour for me. We sat at the bar and were served by Byrd and Desiree, both of whom are AMAZING bartenders and everything overall. Desiree made most of our drinks- by far, the BEST, bartender and drinks we have EVER had!! One of my besties and I love Sidecars, and even though it's not on the menu, she made it AMAZINGLY, even better than the best typical Sidecar ever! She did a sugar and spice rim, it definitely changed the drink for the better and made it unique. Even the twirled orange peel was the best orange peel twist I've had! Haha Desiree for sure knows her stuff front to back upside down and all around when it comes to drinks!!! Byrd was very attentive as well and quick to serve us and make sure we were taken care of. I ordered the shishito peppers, burger and the truffle steak fries, Fade to Black cocktail, and Desiree's Sidecar. We love this place and everything about it!!!

HH sliders & sangria

I had to check out the new daily happy hour from 4-7. I don't recall their hh ever being until 7. The bar was almost full and there were a few tables occupied near the bar. The menu contains a nice variety of specialty cocktails for half price and and appetizers such as meatball sliders, charcuterie and tuna tacos. I was considering the hh burger, but the $16 price seems too much for hh. The $7 meatball sliders were very good! I also had a glass of white sangria, which was very tasty and a good hh price for $7. They advertise hh as at the patio and bar, and there is outdoor seating on the patio.

Hawthorn Grill is located in the JW Marriott and it's an expansive property. The patio we sat at for a cocktail was beautiful and there are usually Koi fish and ducks in the flowing water channels. We did not eat here, but we did enjoy the happy hour prices for the drinks. Service was kinda slow, could be because it's a Monday. Overall decent place.

I recently ordered takeout from this spot and overall had a very good experience. The prices are quite reasonable, and the portions felt fair for the value. I went with the filet mignon cooked medium rare, and it was executed perfectly--tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The Caesar salad was crisp and refreshing, while the fries arrived piping hot and satisfying. The only miss for me was the mac and cheese, which turned out a bit too runny and lacked the creamy richness I was hoping for. Since I only did takeout, I can't speak much to the service or full ambiance, but the space looked inviting from what I saw. All in all, a solid option while staying at the hotel.

Located within the JW Marriott, wife and I have enjoyed full and scrumptious breakfasts daily during our weeklong visit. Excellent service in addition to white linens. Relaxed atmosphere looking out at water feature w visiting waterfowl.

Restaurant is gorgeous. We had the private room and service was fantastic. This was seriously the best steak I've ever had! The mushrooms and mashed potatoes complimented it so well.

Hawthorn Grill happy hour is dangerous in the best way. Gorgeous lounge bar live music on Saturday and such a great vibe. Byrd was our server and was amazing and Desiree behind the bar makes incredible cocktails. Shrimp cocktail was so good I had to come back the next day just for it. Meaty shrimp unreal sauce and the burger with truffle fries did not disappoint. Great happy hour prices plus a fun casino and free parking with a full garage makes being off the Strip even better. Highly recommend

The food is truly exquisite, and the level of hospitality is beyond anything I can put into words. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed, valued, and well taken care of. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience with incredible food and world-class hospitality, this is the place to be! Highly recommended!

Extremely Disappointing Experience and Poor Customer Service! I was really looking forward to…read moredining at Herbs & Rye, especially since I had made my reservation back in April 2026. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered my steak medium, and TWICE it came out well done. However, my biggest issue wasn't the mistake itself, but how it was handled. There was absolutely no empathy or genuine concern. One of my biggest pet peeves is a manager asking, "What can we do to make it better?" A manager experienced in customer service should already know how to handle these situations rather than putting that responsibility on the customer. Incorrect orders also create a domino effect for the entire table. Out of courtesy, everyone waits to eat until all meals arrive, leaving others with cold food. I'm HUGE on customer service, and as I've said in previous reviews, it's what determines whether I return and spend my hard-earned money. With so many great steakhouses to choose from, there's no excuse for poor service. I will NEVER return. Thanks, Katz, for ruining what should have been a wonderful dining experience.

She personally called me to discuss my experience and provided her contact information in the event we were open to giving Golden Steer another chance. With family in town, I reached out to Wendy and she personally made our reservation immediately for the date I requested. She advised that she'd ensure she greeted us upon arrival to introduce herself. Tonight was our reservation and I can absolutely say that my faith in Golden Steer has been restored. From the moment we were seated, our waiters were very attentive and friendly. We were seated at Mario Andretti's booth and were advised that he still dines there annually. The steakhouse atmosphere was prominent with an old school charm. Wendy stopped by our booth shortly after we arrived to introduce herself and personally apologize for our previous experience, reiterating that they strive to make all guests feel welcomed and celebrated. She was so friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the guests. We enjoyed the delicious complimentary bread, with herb butter alongside our drinks. I had the Luck be a Lady, which was light and refreshing with a subtle sweetness. Our appetizers were so good! We had the crab cake and shrimp de jorghe, both were packed with flavor. The shrimp were large and plump with an addictive sauce. The crab cake was full of crab and didn't have much filler. We all opted for steaks for our entrees. I had the petite filet and my partner had the 16 ounce NY Steak. My steak was perfectly medium-rare a generous sear and crust that was missing last time. Our sides were the mashed potatoes and creamed corn. The mashed potatoes were really good, just a tad salty for me personally but the rest of my party didn't think so. I'm not a creamed corn fan, but the rest of my party really enjoyed it. They found the addition of cinnamon and nutmeg a great touch. Finally, for dessert we were provided the anniversary cake that we did not receive during our last meal here, along with key lime pie and the chocolate lava cake. They were all so rich and delicious. The chocolate lava cake was perfectly ooey-gooey in the center and was complemented by caramel ice cream and raspberries to cut through the sweetness. The key lime pie was so bright and full of lime flavor. Thank you, Wendy and team for a wonderful evening.

We're from Arizona and occasionally visit Las Vegas for a family vacation during fall break. We went in early October and had a great experience. We ordered filet mignon with king crab, along with a rib eye and Caesar salad. Dessert was complimentary. My husband said his filet mignon was tender and juicy, melting in his mouth like butter. My rib eye was absolutely delicious; I couldn't get enough of it. It was probably the best rib eye I've ever had, cooked exactly the way I wanted. The Caesar salad was surprisingly good, too. The only disappointment was the crab legs. Based on the Facebook ads and reviews, we expected more, but they were small and skinny and didn't seem especially noteworthy. The atmosphere is something you really have to experience for yourself: dim lighting and great service. I only took a picture of the crab legs; my rib eye didn't stand a chance.

I've only been to the New York location before, so experiencing the Las Vegas location was exciting. We started with the Caesar salad, and the house-made croutons were a standout. They had incredible seasoning and a flavor unlike any I've had before. For the main course, we ordered the steak for two, following the chef's recommendation to have it cooked medium-rare. The steak arrived with butter sizzling on top, and it was an experience unlike anything I've had at another steakhouse. Absolutely delicious! We also ordered the German potatoes, which were exceptional. They recommended adding a dab of their cocktail sauce to the steak, and I wholeheartedly endorse that suggestion. It was the perfect complement. We paired everything with a bottle of Jordan, which rounded out the meal beautifully. The service was okay. Our server was nice, but not particularly warm or welcoming. I chalked it up to the New York steakhouse personality. Overall, Peter Luger is absolutely worth the visit. The German potatoes were super oily but tasty. I couldn't eat more than a few spoonfuls. The Caesar salad was surprisingly flavorful and the crab cake was good too. Unfortunately, the bread was stale and the steak itself was underwhelming, which is disappointing considering it's a steakhouse. Even the Shirley Temple didn't come with cherries. The pecan pie was also disappointing. Wayyy too many pecans. It was basically a pile of pecans on a pie crust rather than an actual pie. The schlag (whipped cream), however, was delicious! Overall, a decent experience with some hits and misses, but definitely not worth the hype. Glad I tried it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.
