Stopped in to hide from the rain and grab a drink and some snacks before checking in to our hotel, loved the ambience and service so much that I broke one of my cardinal rules of travel and came back to the same place a few nights later on my birthday. It was definitely busier (it was friday night at a bar after all) but we were still able to get a table right away. I had the dutch pea soup (which came with bacon on pumpernickel bread) and stamppot, both of which were amazing. It was a well executed example of dutch cuisine, which was exactly what we were looking for. I would highly recommend it and will seek it out next time I'm in town. read more
