Good price, good food, and good portions. Portions are big a good price. I had 2 chicken wraps for less than $8. I could've gotten more and it'd still be a very good price. The staff is nice and friendly. The space is limited tho. read more

I've been here a few times now. Staff is generally very good although I have had an issue one time which was quickly rectified by the management. The service is good, mostly a take out place. Chicken sandwiches are very good, tasty and tender. I don't like it spicy so I can't speak to that. The prices are quite high here in my opinion but if you don't mind paying it's a good sandwich. Parking is not an issue. read more

I needed lunch by noon so I decided to order from Haven Hot Chicken. I placed my order online for pickup at 11:15 AM, about 15 min after they opened. I got there a bit early, and it's a cute, small shop with cone counter seating. There was one person working who let me know my order would be ready soon, and told me to grab my drinks from the fridge! Soon after I got my food and was ready to go. I got the Mac and cheese bowl, with the chicken, opted for spice level "hot". The chicken was really well spiced, and I was pleasantly surprised! The Mac was well cooked, and cheesy. Overall very good. Then, the banana pudding. This was amazing. A good southern banana pudding that was shockingly not overly sweet. The pumpkin spice flavor was a great addition. I would definitely get it again. Great place and I will be back! read more

After accidentally ordering the wrong heat level at a different location, I was craving a hot tendies meal. My food came out hot, juicy, crispy and fresh. It's not a big deal but they didn't put my honey in the bag. The slice of bread was so buttery delicious. The staff was nice and friendly. This is my favorite location. I will always come again. read more

So we ordered a medium hot chicken sandwich with a side of fries, even at medium it had a kick but it was yummy! Fries were good too!

I have gotten food there more than a few times. Great food. always consistent. Polite, efficient service.

Service was good and the workers all seemed happy to be there. Food was good. To be honest the kids combo is the best deal there when dropping by for a quick lunch so that's what we got. We got in country level spice, one mild, and one hot (hot is pictured). I am not by any means good with spice so maybe I'm a little biased saying that the mild level spice was still pretty spicy. However, the hot actually brought tears to my eyes and I literally started sweating. Great chicken place and I only wish that they would expand to other places! read more

This place was really good. Writing this review makes me want to go again soon. The chicken was fresh, juicy, and crispy. It was also huge. I took a bite bigger than I could chew. But I wouldn't recommend doing so. I had the garlic parm chicken sandwich and the haven't hot sandwich. Both sandwiches tasted great. The haven hot sandwich was pretty hot, considering that it's not the hottest choice they have for the heat level. I also had the fries with a side of mac and cheese. Fries were good, the mac and cheese was good. I honestly enjoyed it all. This location didn't have anywhere to sit, so we had no choice but to grab and go. It wasn't busy when we came in, but the shelf where people placed orders to pick up had several orders. I would definitely come back again. read more

Great food and amazing customer service! A small cozy seating area and ordering can be done via a kiosk or the register. The manager is so kind and he personally checked to see how our meal was. He told us they make everything fresh and take pride in the quality. Fries were hot and crispy, sandwiches tasted great. read more

Officially obsessed! We tried Haven Hot Chicken once at a Superbowl party but this was my first visit to an actual location. I am forever changed! The Sandwich is a MUST order and it's HUGE! Definitely the biggest chicken thigh I've seen at a hot chicken place in CT. Their fries are hand cut and really crispy. And THE RANCH? Easily my favorite ranch... super dilly! The hot level was absolutely perfect, a great kick but not enough where I'm dying after. The coleslaw and pickles really cool it down in the best way. We can't wait until some of their locations open closer to Hartford county! read more

Excellent service. First time being here. As soon as we waked in the girl taking the orders greeted us with a smile and gave us a run down. She explained the level of the hotness of the chicken and how the menu worked. The food was really good, the place was small but was really clean. read more

The heat levels are no joke! At first you don't feel it but then the after burns hits and your mouth and lips are on fire. The tenders were very crunchy and moist. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. It is a bit pricier than its competitors but their breading and crunch stands out read more

Haven Hot Chicken - Hot Tenders - Chicken Shop Near Me - Orange, Connecticut

From Instagram, I was aware that Haven Hot was opening a second location in Orange. I did not intend to go there today. But unexpectedly, I drove right by it and happened to see the sign. I swear Officer. That's exactly how it happened. Stronger people than I have been unable to drive past Haven Hot Chicken. So I didn't even try. I ordered a 3 piece Mild "Tendies" for my 9 year old, who loved Haven Hot when he first tried it. Because I'm a spice-wuss who likes to pretend he's not a wuss, I ordered Medium. Execution was on par with New Haven. The Tendies are huge, tender, well-crisped and flavorful. The Medium heat level was no problem for me, but I doubt I'll level up. The Store was clean, but very active. Service was friendly, but since they're brand new, they're still trying to build up some muscle memory service-wise. Understandable. Haven Hot continues to be one of my 2 fav hot chicken places in the State, and my fav in Southern CT. Five Stars read more

Chicken sandwich was bomb. Would have again. Size, sauce, presentation, taste was all perfect. Only downside is that the food took a while to be ready, i think they were very understaffed. The location is rather small, so seating is limited. But it was clean and inviting. read more

Oh. My. Gosh. The new Haven Hot Chicken is fire‍‍‍‍‍. Talk about a restaurant that will set your taste buds screaming with joy. You can have country, mild, medium, hot, haven, and then two off the menu off the charts type of hot and spicy chicken options that most wouldn't dare to try. ***make sure when you head here it's on the other side of Mission BBQ, the pin on maps is off a little THE sandwich is not for the faint of heart, it is HUGE. So either plan on splitting it with someone or saving the other half for later because it is a mammoth of a wich. The not chicken nuggs are made with cauliflower and will put any fair fried cauliflower you've ever had to shame. To SHAME I tell you. I got those at a medium and dunking those beauties into ranch dressing is *chefs kiss.* Speaking of that ranch, it has dill in it, and is the ranch of my dreams (I told the owner so too, it def needs to be on a t-shirt). I got some country tendies and they're just absolutely melt in your mouth juicy. I even popped on on a waffle and drizzled it with some syrup and let me tell you - I wanted to cry tears of joy. The French fries deserve to be dunked into shakes and sauces because you just want to eat them with everything. The dill pickles are addictive and I ate like 12 in a row. The coleslaw has the most satisfying crunch you'll ever get because there's some celery added. The Macccccc is a can't miss side. And the pudding. Let's talk about this banana pudding. Elvis Presley, the king himself, would approve of this banana pudding. I want to have this banana pudding every day. Every. DAY. I'm I love. read more

Oh hey HH Orange!!! Having been to the OG New Haven location was super stoked to check out the the new place. Orange is bigger than New Haven. Staff were fantastic! Super attentive to an food allergy in my party. I had the chicken sandwich (medium) with Mac and cheese as my side. My BF had the tendy roulette (country style) with fries. My sandwich was incredible! Even better than new haven. Perfect spice, crunch, slaw, roll. It was perfect! My Mac and cheese was delicious also! My BF really enjoyed his tenders and fries and commented how good and big they were! Having checked out other local chicken joints and being disappointed time and time again, he declared this a winner! We will be back HH Orange! Shout out to the great staff there too! Pro tip the location is on side of building. We thought is was next to mission, so make sure you drive around building to find. read more

I ordered from Haven Hot chicken online last year and was so excited by the spice that I went in person with a friend to try it. The wait time was about 25-30 minutes just to get two chicken tenders, however, the tenders did not disappoint. We got a duo tendies meal with the spice option of hot. While it was not really that spicy, we should probably try haven hot next, the tender was really juicy, crunch and fresh out the kitchen, so I would say it is a must try. read more

Great first experience at Haven Hot Chicken. The service was great and our meals arrived as we ordered them. Just the right amount of heat and reminded me of being back in Nashville for hot chicken. Only issue was the price. It felt a bit steep for what we received. This would make me think twice about coming back. Having sides like French fries included in the meal cost would have went a long way as the fries were excellent. read more

Have been going here instead of the New Haven location because it's closer and has better parking. Not too much seating inside. Prices are WAY too high for a chicken sandwich. A sandwich and fries at one point were about $15! The spice levels aren't consistent because I always get medium and sometimes it's too spicy, and sometimes it doesnt have any heat to it. The chicken and waffles are good. The service is always good and fast, pickup is usually ready in under 10 mins. read more

The 1st time I tried it my bf brought me some home. The mild chicken sandwich (which is their 1st level of heat). The sandwich was mind blowing big piece of chicken breast w/ cole slaw & pickles. My bf ordered me a Mac & cheese which I didn't like b/c they put so much black pepper. The black pepper overpowered the taste of the Mac & cheese. The 2nd time I tried them I dined in. Staff was very friendly & professional! I ordered the medium chicken sandwich(which is their 2nd level of heat) w/ fries(the fries were better than the Mac). They don't have many sides to pick from. I was kind of bummed b/c I'm trying to stay away from a lot of fried food. Chicken was already fried. So I had fried on top of fried. The food took a little while which I loved b/c it was so fresh. They make orders fresh by each order.I can tell it wasn't frozen chicken patties. The person who rung me out brought the food to us which was so nice.I loved the medium spiciness better than mild. Even though it was far from medium more like hot(which is their 3rd level of heat)For dessert I ordered the banana pudding. I didn't like it. The person who rung me out asked if I wanted whipped cream I said yes. I regretted that after. There was so much whipped cream more than the banana pudding. It tasted weird & thick not like regular whipped cream. Also, it didn't have enough cookies in it. The place is really small just has a long counter w/ stools as the seats.i would definitely go back the chicken sandwiches are so delicious! I would like to dine in better (b/c I love my food steaming hot).I want to try the chicken tenders next! If you haven't been here try it out! read more

This place was "OK". Although the service was exceptional, I was not extremely fond of the food. I had the Chicken Sandwich and it seemed too greasy. I don't like pickles much and it seems like the sandwich as a whole is very "pickle-based" - from the sauce to the extra pickles. The Mac and cheese was okay. This is not one of my "go-to" but I would eat here if no other place was open. Important to note: very limited seating. There are approximately 7 chairs lined up by a long table facing the window. read more

BEST. I could eat there everyday. I moved out of CT and miss Haven so much!! The chicken is so good and the cauliflower nugs are soooooo good. I don't even like cauliflower and I'm obsessed with them!! The French fries are always crispy and perfect and don't get me started on the pickles. I could eat the pickles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Go to Haven! Run! Now!! (And please, drive me some to MA!!) read more

Checked out the Orange location after having been to New Haven one multiple times. Overall good but 2 differences worth calling out. First, the medium spice level at Orange is way too spicy. Second, at New Haven they always give extra Rob sauce on the side without you having to ask. At Orange, they charge you for the extra Rob sauce on the side. The plus was being able to sit down and eat at the Orange location (limited seats though, only two tables)! read more

Tried them for lunch. I ordered the tenders which come in 3. I tried for the hottest and second hottest levels. Overall not bad, spice wise is OK to handle. I enjoyed the flavor of the second hottest level better. The portion was a little disappointing since tenders are on smaller size. Comes with a little comeback mayo based sauce which was ok. read more

Such a convenient location, when the new haven location is not! There's a few tables where you can eat inside and it's also in a huge parking lot. This is where you get a high quality chicken sandwich (spicy). It's not cheap, but you can tell the ingredients are top notch. The fries are great too. I love the slaw and pickles on it too. I get the medium and it's not too hot, my boyfriend gets the hot. I love it!! The sandwich is pretty big and I usually have leftovers. read more

Haven is hands down the best hot chicken in the state, as someone who has also tried a bunch of Hot Chicken from Nashville too, I would rank them right up there with the best. My go to is usually the Sandwich with a Coke. On the sandwich you get a good size piece of fries boneless chicken, their Rob sauce, some garlic-dill pickles, creamy vinegar slaw and your choice of heat on a potato roll. Is there a better selection than that?! I get the Haven style heat which is their hottest, perfect bite of spice and flavor. Rumor has it they have an off the menu heat, I don't think I would touch that but good to know! This location is new to Orange, plenty of parking available and they have a long counter you can eat at while overlooking the window if you would like to dine in. I've had many of their other items as well, you cannot go wrong with this place. Also love that they have a rewards program which saves you some money on future purchases, already can't wait until the next time! read more

Haven Hot Chicken - The Sandwich - Chicken Shop Near Me - Orange, Connecticut

The service is the best of any in the quick service or casual dine restaurants in Orange or Milford! Polite, friendly, competent! And back of house made our meals to order and the chicken was amazing. The fries are very flavorful and the mac and cheese was not your usual gloppy orange stuff. Love the maple flavor in the sweet sauce! Very happy customers. read more

Pretty good! Love the sweet heat Mac bowl and the chicken tastes great...the service is quick and people are friendly.

Been wanting to get eating here out of my system since it was featured on Best Bite in Town. My husband and I ordered "the sandwich", one combo and one just the sandwich . You get a ton of fries so there was plenty for both of us with just one order plus a drink. $35 for everything which is a bit pricey. My husband wanted mild and I ordered medium. The sandwiches were not marked so we didn't know which was which. Both were really spicy and we couldn't finish. My nose was running and my eyes were watering. Too hot for us. read more
