The food is okay, I've had two things from there and they taste like it was made with Costco ingredients. Not bad but not great either. Haven't had the coffee yet because I'm scared from the other things I've tried. The redbull I've tried two already with different flavors off the menu, and it was not very good, compared to Dutch bros I guess I would rather go to Dutch. The service as well wasn't great either which is a bummer, the blonde girl at the counter seemed like she did not want to take orders and was not making eye The service was really awkward. There was no greeting or eye contact, even though no one else was in line, and I eventually had to walk up myself. While I was ordering, the employee stopped mid-sentence to talk to a coworker, which was uncomfortable. I've tried smoothies here before, the peach one was good--but this time I ordered three berry smoothies and they were terrible. They were basically pure ice with no smoothie texture at all, especially disappointing given how expensive they are. They were for my sister and fiancé and they both agreed they were gross and didn't drink them. This place has potential because I know the smoothies can be good when made right, and the set up here is really nice and comfortable, but the inconsistency and poor service really ruined the experience for me. I stopped in for coffee after hiking at Usery Park. Its a cute shop in a strip mall, with plenty of parking. There are a few tables out front for outdoor seating. The inside was decorated cutely with industrial textures and hand written chalk board menus. They have beer/wine/food/smoothies. I just got a drip coffee. I love having this little local coffee shop down the street! Their coffee always tastes fresh and not bitter at all, much better compared to chains like Starbucks with their burnt tasting coffee. Service is great, I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes or so for a drink. Price for drinks is very reasonable and they have a lot of flavor and milk-substitute options. They have some food items also for breakfast and lunch but I haven't tried them yet. They also have serve some wine and have a cute seating area in the front and patio out back. Cheapskates- over priced for under average coffee and food. $4 coffee and a $5 bagel. The coffee cup was so cheap and thin set the sides of it caved in when you grabbed it. About halfway through the drink on the weight to the liquid wasn't there to stabilize the cup I picked it up to drink and all the coffee came out the top, crushing the cup by the simple weight of holding it. Bagel was dense like the Costco ones it came "toasted" barley with the smallest size of cream when I asked for more they said it would be extra. The female staff was friendly but the guy wasn't the good moring type. I don't recommend it read more

Every Sunday my husband and I try a new coffee place. This week I picked, and I'm so happy I chose Hava Java! I ordered a lavender latte with oat milk and it was delicious!! I'm so happy this place has so many milk alternatives and flavor options. We also ordered the Java breakfast sandwich, the pesto aioli being my favorite part. This shop has a modern yet cozy vibe and the staff is so sweet. They're open at night time too, offering beer on tap, snacks and live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Hava Java makes me so happy. East Mesa really lacks f when it comes to modern food/coffee locations, but Hava Java is the answer to that issue! The ambiance in here is fantastic with great lighting and tasteful decor. This is a wonderful place to go and work/study or meet up with someone to catch up. They also have live music occasionally and serve beer and wine in the evenings. They have all of the alternative milks for your morning fix and some tasty treats to go along with them. I ordered the Caramel Macchiato with Almond Milk and 3 shots of espresso to give it more of a kick, which in turn left a roasted almond aftertaste! This drink was creamy and adding candied syrup gives the drink a smoother, less acidic taste. I definitely love the atmosphere and ambience of this entire coffee shop! Just moved into the neighborhood and have been meaning to stop in this local coffee & tea shop, oh boy I am glad I did. My mom and I needed a quick wake me up this morning and decided to come here as they had coffee and food. Ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon/egg/arugula/pesto, and it was absolutely delicious. My mom had the breakfast burrito that came with salsa on the side, nothing too different than your typical burrito, but it did the job. We also had the Chai Tea Latte with Oat Milk and a regular gourmet coffee, on point. Will add this as my go to breakfast spot on my way to work as they open as early as 5:30am. Stumbled in here on our way to Chipotle. Service was excellent as we were created immediately and welcomed in. Ended up ordering a couple of smoothies which were quite refreshing. My wife ordered a BLT and a berry pastry. A few minutes later we could smell fresh bacon being cooked. As we sipped our smoothies we were presented with the rest of the food. The BLT was incredible with hints of basil and unexpected pesto. The pastry was brought out warm and my wife is mad that I kept taking bites, as I don't normally have a sweet tooth. This is a lovely cafe with such a pleasant vibe. If you want to do some reading or solo work, it's a great, because there's lots of space, it's quiet, there's WiFi, and there's outlets. Their almond milk latte lacked flavor, so that was the downfall for me. It was good and foamy, but it just wasn't great, just average, so that was the downfall for me and why I'm giving three stars. Hidden gem on the northeast corner of Mcdowell and Power. Located in a strip mall, this coffee house did not disappoint. Ordered a latte and it was so smooth tasting. Not sure what type of beans they use but this place is a definite spot to check out . They also have beer on tap, a selection of pastries, and small snacks and bites to eat. They often seem short staffed when I have been here at various times and days of week (one staff person working) so there is a small line be prepared to really wait. Coffee / Expresso here is just ok. Maybe because staff feel rushed and push through drinks. Would really prefer my own expresso at home , but not always an option. They are kind of an island with coffee shops in the area so options are limited to Starbucks. Not much of a menu for food so if your looking for a cafe type place this is not it. Although I have not been here at night They seem to focus more on their night time service of entertainment and craft beer. They have a chalkboard calendar full of nighttime events for the month . What a great find! I'm not typically on this side of town and found these guys on Yelp! and thought I'd give them a shot. Cool place right next door to Chipotle (double score!) and were open late. Place was fairly busy when I came in and I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, very welcoming. I had a drip coffee and a green tea - both were hot and fresh and the price reasonable. First visit here , happened to be in the area. Walked in and wasn't super busy figured I would ask for a drink recommendation given I've never been here. In mine and my friends opinion the older women taking orders was on the rude side when I explained what kind of coffee I usually get and asked for a recommendation. I explained I liked not too sweet coffees but also not bitter (bad choice of words I meant strong) she then laughed and said "we're not Starbucks our coffee isn't bitter ". Her tone was snarky and not appreciated however I let it go and chose one of the drinks she recommended. It was an iced Irish cream latte. I had to be somewhere soon so I took it without trying it assuming it would be great seeing as how this is a smaller place and the snarky comment about Starbucks.... I should've just taken my chances with the Starbucks across the street because this coffee was terrible. I love this fun neighborhood coffee shop! Over the holidays they featured a different coffee drink every day. They have some yummy bakery items in the case and also a small food menu of breakfast sandwiches and smoothies. But the best part is that they also have a bar with local beers and wines and a happy hour in the evening with some snack items to munch. AND they have live music on weekend nights! But wait, there's more! You have to watch their social media because they do a pop up kitchen outside with tacos or pizza. Last week they featured a special menu on the tables that I didn't even know about (dang- I already ate!). This past week they introduced their coffee cocktails and mine was delicious! I apparently just missed trivia night last night so now another reason to go there! I met the new owner and he was super nice and engaged with what was going on. I went with some friends to check this new-ish spot out post-COVID. I was hesitant to get a coffee based on the reviews. Instead, I opted for a hot Earl Grey and asked to have some heavy cream warmed up and placed in. It was done perfectly, and that rarely happens. Few people get teas / milk teas right. I'll definitely venture back to try other beverages. The cashier was very pleasant and the barista knew his stuff. My friends got a strawberry smoothie and a black coffee plus one of their sweet breads. The bread wasn't super fresh per my friend, which might be from the fact that the turnover isn't what it usually is right now. She ate it all anyways, so it was good. But no complaints were had on the beverages so, I'd say it's a great local alternative to big chains. There's a good amount of room to wheel around for wheelchairs / power chairs. Seating is more than the Starbucks across the street so, there's a bit more room than you'd expect. It would be a good place to meet.
