    Seafood Alfredo

First of all, they had the best staff ever. We went in after a power outage, and they were very friendly and got seated quickly. The food on the other hand was a little disappointing. The Alfredo was good, but the sauce was a little bland. We did get seated next to a window and had beautiful view. Again, the staff were amazing.

This place was packed, we waited for over an hour for a table (this was a day when the Microsoft issues happened globally so several restaurants were.closed due to the Crowd strike issue). Our server was amazingly accommodating with our family and nephew who is a toddler. Food was fresh, hot and very good tasting. View from the back of the restaurant led to stunning sunset views. Would recommend, and plan ahead and call as this place gets very busy, with reason!

We went here for dinner (really the only option) and were grateful to get a table with our party of 10. We made sure to be early and got there before 5 to stand in line, and they made sure our table was ready shortly after opening. Cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is fantastic, service is friendly and quick, and there are epic sunset views over the sound.

    Fried whole flounder.

Friday night in October. This place is walking distance from my buddy's obx house so we walked over at about 5:30. Got on the list and had a drink at the bar and the table was ready in about 10 minutes. Got some recommendations from our sever and started with their excellent take on oysters Rockefeller. A fried oyster with a remoulade in a bed of vinegary greens was an excellent combination. The greens were the star I had pan seared scallops that came with Cole slaw, fries, sautéed vegetables, tarter and cocktail sauce and it was very good. My buddy had fried flounder, the special recommended by the server and it was really tasty. Fried in a spicy season and maybe breaded in corn meal? It was a whole dish and came with more sides than he could get through. He picked up the check, but commented that it was very reasonable. If I go back it'll be the flounder.

Came here for the first night of our vacation, we went outside to the bar to enjoy the live music and sunshine and the bartender did not acknowledge us for about 15 mins. No "hey I'll be right with you" of any kind. He missed out on a pretty large bill as there was 6 of us and we were all getting cocktails. On the other hand, our waitress was phenomenal! I don't remember her name but she has short hair! She was attentive and friendly! The food was absolutely delicious, I had the pleasure of having the seafood Alfredo and it was one of the best I've ever had. It's unfortunate about the bartender, but we ended up having a great experience either way!! WE WILL BE BACK

Just stopped at the bar for appetizers. This place is great

One of our favorite places on the island. Almost every table has some water view and many full views of the Sound and magnificent sunsets. Now let's get to the food. We both had the seafood chowder. It has a spicy bite but is excellent. My wife had the Black drum special and I had Shrimp and Grits. Yes we were members of the clean plate club. We finished with banana foster cheese cake. Great service and excellent food choices. Do not hesitate this is a must try. If you can't get a seat, sit at the Bar. Great service no matter what.

Hatteras Sol is an ok Italian-ish restaurant. Our waiter was excellent at refilling drinks but did only order me a side salad when I ordered a full size salad for my entree. I was only charged $6 instead of $12 but it wasn't enough food so I ended up paying $2.75 for some bread. We were told we were going to a "seafood" restaurant and while there was some seafood on the menu the choices were limited. I like grilled shrimp not the breaded or fried type. I don't see myself returning here for dinner although I did enjoy seeing the sunset on the water after dinner.

Food was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh. Highly recommend the fried calamari, the fried shrimp and crab cakes.

Great location and friendly staff. Food was good but not great. It would have been a lot better with less salt.

Cockeyed Clam - This banana pudding was different than most we've had - thick, creamy, and ours was full of vanilla wafer and banana cream. Delicious!

The Cockeyed Clam was a mixed bag of good and bad menu items…read more The fried clam strips were chewy as well as having the batter being burnt. Had the platter with fish of the day, shrimp, crab cakes, mashed potatoes, and broccolini. The fish with the Parmesan encrusted top was delicious, adding a strong flavor that complemented the fish. However, the underside of the fish didn't have any of that flavor and was under salted as well as being a tad overcooked. The broccolini was cooked well enough but ended up being flavorless due to no seasoning or salt added. The shrimp were okay, not super well seasoned but not super lacking. The crab cake was fairly loosely packed, little char on top. Not super flavorful. Mashed potatoes were good, well seasoned and creamy. The fried seafood items had a nice light batter and wasn't too oily. The hush puppies were a highlight of the meal. They were dense with a hard exterior but not too dry on the inside. The cornbread flavor held strong in the hush puppy and wasn't too greasy. The French fries were abysmal. No salt, no crispness, and terrible texture. Pickled beets added a nice sweetness to the meal. The main highlights were the desserts. The chocolate pecan pie a la mode was delicious as well as the key lime pie. Our server was great and sweet. While most of the food is not terrible, it's not going to impress much either.

Special of the day was Blue crab ravioli with sun-dried tomato Alfredo was fantastic! Bloody Mary…read morewas good, all other food was good. Really love the garlic, mashed potatoes.
