The wings themselves were both meaty and juicy, but the sauces ended up lacking. The buffalo sauce tasted like just bottled buffalo sauce and the garlic Parmesan tasted similar, mostly being a one note flavor mess. The eggplant Parmesan was a generic eggplant Parmesan that is only made tasty by the amount of mozzarella on the eggplant. The sauce was watery and had no flavor. The eggplant breading just fell off and was mushy. Tasted like a frozen eggplant parm. Garlic knots had a hard shell surrounding a doughy center. Every bite you can taste the garlic. The knots could use a bit more salt to enhance some of the garlic flavor but these were still good. The pizza is a bit of a mixed bag. While the crust and sauce are a bit generic and underwhelming the toppings and cheese make up for it to make a serviceable pie. Crust was your standard American chain pie with a thick enough crust but lacks any stability or flavor. Sauce is so generic it makes no impact on the pizza. The toppings are plentiful as well as the cheese and they are all of good quality. We had olives, onion, pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms and it wasn't too much or too little. The only negative is with all the toppings and cheese, the pizza did get greasy. Overall an above average pizza for a very average looking one. They had no water cups so everyone had to get a soda. They also have a sign saying no bringing water bottles in so there isn't anyway to get water unless you want to purchase a bottle of water. While this pizza isn't top of the line, it will still satisfy your pizza needs.

The restaurant has a fun, laid-back atmosphere, and they were getting ready for live music while we were there. We were dining with our young daughter, and once the band had finished setting up, we got the impression they were gently encouraging us to wrap things up. No one was rude about it, but it definitely felt like they preferred not to have a family with a little one there once the music got underway. My husband ordered a burger that he polished off and described simply as, "Good." Coming from him, that's actually a solid endorsement. I ordered the Cuban Reuben. The flavors were good, but I was surprised to find it served on what appeared to be a flour tortilla rather than the flatbread described on the menu. It ended up eating more like a wrap than a sandwich. I still enjoyed it, but it wasn't what I was expecting. I had ordered fries with my meal but received chips instead. I never checked the receipt to see whether I was charged for the upgrade, but it ended up working out just fine. My husband was convinced they were just really good Lay's chips. I disagreed. We still haven't settled that debate, but we both agreed they were fresh, crunchy, and delicious. My daughter ordered the grilled cheese, and after spending the week on an unofficial Outer Banks grilled cheese tour (because toddlers have priorities), this one landed somewhere around a 5/10. Overall, it was a pleasant meal with a great atmosphere, and I can absolutely see it being a fun place to grab a drink and listen to live music. We ordered the seafood platter deep fried which ended up being a mess. The shrimp were chewy and there was barely anything of any item. Nothing was seasoned and the crab cake while full of crab was dry. The shellfish trio was the best item ordered that had plenty of scallops, shrimp, and crab meat. The pesto cream sauce was serviceable but the dish is average at best. We had two different daily specials, the mojo yellowfin tuna and the Parmesan crusted triggerfish. The mojo yellowfin tuna was cooked well enough, with it being mostly raw in the center, but lacked really any flavor and a tad bit overcooked on one side. It was served over some rice, beans, and a fruit salad. Off combination and not great. There was a side of what tasted like boiled unseasoned zucchini/squash. Abysmal side and a terrible dish, but not even the worst dish. The Parmesan encrusted triggerfish was the worst dish I've ever been served. The dish even from its conception is poorly designed as it has way too much Parmesan. Usually for a Parmesan encrusted dish there would be about an 80/20 split of breadcrumbs to Parmesan, however this dish was almost all Parmesan likely 10/90 of breadcrumbs to Parmesan. The overwhelming flavor of Parmesan was the only thing you can taste and totally masked the triggerfish. The worst part was while half of the fish was fine the other half had something terribly wrong with it. Instead of being flakey the other half was rubbery and chewy and tasted nothing like fish. This rancid half could barely be cut with a knife and made us sick. This was also served with a side of unseasoned squash just to make it even worse. The strawberry rhubarb pie and chocolate pecan pie were both fine but didn't amaze. With everything being so terrible food wise the restaurant is even worse with every entree being over $30 and the acoustics were terrible. The whole place is so loud when it's a full house and you have to scream to talk to someone at your table. The prices present a high quality meal but I wouldn't even pay fast food prices.
