Terrible server, but the food was great. We were sitting on the patio and the server tripped and dropped our bottle of champagne, it then ricocheted and sprayed all over my legs. What a welcome to Phoenix lol she said she would "take care of us", and proceeded to epically fail during the whole experience and didn't check on us once. What she meant by taking care of us she meant bringing us donuts we didn't ask for!! It was just all bad. We didn't want to get a manager involved because it was our friends bday trip and the first place we went. In retropect, we should have because that server was horrible. The other servers and bussers around us went out of their way to get us Cholula sauce and asked if we needed anything after the food came out. The waiter suggested the Chicken Wings on biscuits but failed to mention they had Bone In wings. Service was extremely slow and our waiter disorganized. As bad as the food was the floor near the restrooms was filthy. The men's room had a plumbers rodding machine sitting in a puddle of water blocking the urinal. When I told the hostess this was disgusting she agreed and remarked the a plumber had been called. I came here for a bachelorette trip. They were able to quickly sit a large party. We went early because they do not take reservations and we were worried we wouldn't be able to find seating. As the brunch period went on, there were definitely more people. The portions are huge and can definitely share many options with the whole table. They also have a Bloody Mary bar where you can build your own Bloody Mary. Unfortunately the area we sat in was right under the speakers so it was very difficult to have a conversation. We ordered several mimosas flights, and the photo demonstrates that the mimosas were not filled to a satisfactory level. When I mentioned this, our server seemed to become somewhat unfriendly for the rest of our visit, which diminished our experience. Having been to this location twice, due to its close proximity to our home, we still find the Indian School Road location further but more preferable when hosting or entertaining guests. Today was our first visit to Hash Kitchen, surprised my husband and had my fingers crossed that he would be able to order his "go to" breakfast....pancakes & crispy bacon. We were seated promptly by Ashley, the manager and I quietly inquired about the pancakes. She assured me, yes of course. Now I could concentrate on a finding something "different" for myself. I thought I would get something sweet, but.....my eyes locked onto the "Greek Goddess Hash", Lamb & Beef Gyro/ amazing Greek cucumber salad/ mozzarella/ tzatziki hollandaise / pita bread ...comes with crispy smashed potatoes & 2 eggs (I asked for scrambled on the side). The "Goddess" was everything that I was hoping it would be. The unexpected was, what seemed to be mini potatoes that were perfectly crispy on the outside, "smashed" with a light touch and the inside, just silky potato goodness and Tzatziki Hollandaise...which would actually be an excellent "dip".....My husband enjoyed his piping hot pancakes, bacon and extra syrup. He commented that the coffee was really good. Bloody Marys, Mimosas and a full bar for your other beverage choices. This morning we went to hatch for some early morning mimosas! Needless to say we found our new breakfast spot in Arizona. We try to stay away from chains and support smaller businesses but I can't say enough about how great everything was that we tried. It was not your typical chain bland food. We ordered the breakfast burrito and brunch sandwhich. The fries were also super yummy. We also brought our dog as they are dog friendly out on the patio. I can't say enough great things about this place. If you want a quieter breakfast this may not be the spot because they do have the music pretty loud. When I tell you this was one of our favorite food places during our trip to Scottsdale - that's saying a lot because we ate a lot of good food during our vacation! The location was convenient on our way to downtown Scottsdale, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle that we were able to be seated right away on a weekday around 10am with no wait. The place is a fun vibe. With the Bloody Mary bar, the fun music playing, unique dishes, and the very friendly staff they were able to make a great impression! The food was outstanding. The waiter gave great recommendations and was patient as we made our decision. We ended up going twice on our trip. The first time my husband got the carnitas hash and I got the breakfast potato tacos. We split a half order of the protein packed buttermilk pancakes which were amazing! This place is always my go-to for large group outings or out-of-town visitors. It's a fun and lively spot (sometimes a little loud but that's part of the experience), and the food is pretty good. There are a lot of different options for everyone - I always like the savory breakfast options like the avocado toast or chilaquiles, but sometimes we've gotten a sweet menu item to share on the side. I'm not a Bloody Mary person but I imagine the bar is a plus for anyone who is. The only downside is that this location doesn't take reservations or online waitlist and it can get pretty busy. What a fun concept. If I was in my 20's I'd be drinking like a fish here because the drinks that they offered looked so fun. I didn't get an adult drink, just coffee to start off the morning- which came in a carafe, and that's fun. Service was prompt. We arrived at 9ish on Monday and I can imagine that this place must get pretty packed on the weekends. We opted to sit inside due to lack of sunlight outside (not quite warm enough yet). The inside is bright, unique, and promotes a fun experience. Mom and I ordered the potato tacos with carnitas and a gluten free waffle to share- there was plenty. A waffle is a waffle- right? But when it's gluten free and doesn't taste gluten free that's when we are winning. The potato tacos seriously had amazing flavor- some Spice and some sweet, and the crunch was perfect even while it sat in sauce. But the star? The CARNITAS. It's the best carnitas that I have ever had, and I've had a lot. It wasn't dry, but also not mushy. The pieces that were slightly crisp maintained their moisture and flavor. I was not expecting a DJ blasting club music at 11am on a Friday morning at brunch. Especially because Hash Kitchen is located between a Sprouts and Panera Bread in a Scottsdale strip mall parking lot. We were looking for a nice spot with good food, instead we ended up with expensive and mediocre food. If you're into day clubs and drinking or with a large group celebrating something, this very well could be the spot for you. However, if you actually want to talk to the people you're eating your meal with this probably isn't the place. Because of the noise, we sat on the patio and I still had to project my voice much more than normal to their team when trying to order. I couldn't believe it. When the food came out, it was fine. The hash had decent flavor and the pulled pork was good. The French Toast was basically just toasted brioche served with nowhere near enough syrup to give it any flavor. Don't recommend their NA drinks, the edible glitter doesn't make up for the flavor. Overall, my impression is that this spot is for a party crowd looking to listen to loud music and drink while eating an okay brunch. If that isn't you, try somewhere else. read more

We went to this location on a Monday morning, roughly around 10-11am, and it was perfect. There are multiple different locations, but I noticed that this location was better for people who want a chill brunch. I also saw more kids and families here too. It was very spacious and gorgeous so we were taking pictures at every wall, around every corner lol. I ordered the queso Birria Benedict and I was almost tempted to order another one and pack it up and put it in my suitcase.. it was pure perfection! It was like a breakfast version of nachos. The mimosa flight was pretty and fun, and it added that sweet element that I feel a lot of mimosas don't seem to have. The cookie shots were fun too, however, don't expect much sweetness from the cereal and the cookie is also a hard crunchy texture. My sever politely said she would get me some. 30 seconds later she places a plate with scrambled eggs that had been sitting for some time because they were all dried out. When our server returned I gave her that feedback and told her I was shocked that a restaurant like this did not make fresh eggs. Shortly after that someone showed up at our table who I assumed was the manager. No name tag and no introduction of who she was. She started to defend the way the eggs were prepared stating that they are liquid eggs not fresh. She said if I wanted fresh eggs I should have asked for them. I said how would I know I'm supposed to order fresh eggs. She did not have an answer for that. She continued to defend the way they are prepared and said all the other restaurants serve scrambled eggs this way. You are not "other" restaurants. You can do better.
