ZERO sense of urgency here and endless excuses. My car was here for a full MONTH for a new bumper and one headlight area after a small accident when I was told, at the latest, it would be 2 weeks so I would have it to drive home for Thanksgiving. Claimed they "kept being sent the wrong sized part". Waited another SIX weeks after pickup for two pieces of trim to come in. And they charge a 4% credit card fee without displaying it?? After my initial review I received a call from Chris at the shop and he took full accountability for the lack of communication. They were able to take my car in and get the work done in the time agreed upon. They were extremely responsive and the work was completed on time. Quality job with no complaints. 4 stars just due to the initial communication issues. read more

7/31: Car front bumper that was repaired has just come down on its own. Looks like glue was used to repair it. Very disappointed with the service and although there is lifetime warranty I don't believe the repair would be done well. Would highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

3/15: See you guys in court. 3/14: As i was detailing my car, turns out the paint match is actually not even accurate at all. In the fender and hood photo, youll notice the paint on the fender is OEM. they painted the hood. Seriously at this point i cant recommend enough to avoid this shop at all costs. Just spoke to Juan and they are denying all the damage they done despite photos. Only if i bring it in theyll make up some dumb excuse to not warranty it. Lovely group of people for sure. Know what this guy said to me? "How could we get the paint match wrong if we use the color code for the car?". Good troll buddy. Nice one. If that's all you guys do then damn, i overestimated your skills as an OG body shop guy. 3/13: I can't really recommend this place. My experience started sour, with a notice to pickup my mercedes c63 which was full of poor worksmanship regarding fitment, paint texture, and so on. I did request for a custom rear diffuser to be installed, but the problems im addressing for now only concern my front bumper respray and general assembly. Pictures attached show that they not only stripped my bolt heads, but my center bumper bracket has been completely bored out. I now not only need to order more bolts, but will probably need to try and fill the hole and then drill it back out. This includes the initial pickup of my vehicle that had numerous fish eye textures in the paint that were not sanded down before presenting my car to me. My front fender was also damaged in the process with a crack in the aluminum itself. The paint prep was not done the same, and was obvious the repair was quick just to push my car back to me asap (the paint literally ripped off when i removed painter's tape from it during my headlight detail). Why did i have to do headlight detail again? They also scratched tf out of them when i got it back, why not just tape a microfiber towel over it when installing/uninstalling the front bumper? The headlights had to be completely sanded down and recoated to fix it which took me another couple hours. I can not in good faith recommend this place, ESPECIALLY if you work on your car often and are a car enthusiast. I gave them a bag full of bolts and spare parts that i took off the front bumper and instead of calling me, like i told them to (if they were confused about reinstallation), they just threw everything away and stripped all my shit. Not to mention my new set of BCForged wheels got sandblasted and will now need to have the lips and barrels replaced since they're 2 piece. Could have just covered the wheels from the start to avoid damaging them... Front bumper paint is also cracked now, not even sure how that could happen. Paint match is good, but that's about all there is to it. They work hard, but things like this piss me off because these issues shouldn't have happened to begin with. I specifically asked them to call me if they can't figure out where things go and instead my car was straight up damaged all throughout the process and they just tossed out everything else. If you have a car that you work on and care about a lot, i would honestly take it somewhere that treats your car as if it were their own. This place isn't it honestly. And i haven't even began tearing down the rear bumper yet... don't even know what i will find when i do. The worst part about this is whoever damaged the car in the shop does not report it. They will not mention ANYTHING until you yourself find these issues. List of issues i had to find myself: 1. Poor paint texture and heavy spray work 2. Damaged wheel lip, sand blasted about 1/4 of the lips on both sides 3. Cracked fender and poor paint prep 4. Stripped bolts 5. Bored out brackets 6. Missing bolts 7. Threw away all the parts i handed them 8. Did not report anything that was damaged in the process 9. Damaged camera housing 10. Completely botched paint match I should have gone with a certified MB repair shop. Pay extra for your ride and get it done by people that will treat your car right from the get go. originally dropped my car at the oak lawn location, but they moved it over to mesquite, presumably to speed up the repairs. they had my car for six and a half weeks, returned it with a broken headlight and messed up hood that would not pop open anymore. i took back in and they fixed the light but have not fixed the car hood. they swear up and down that the hood was previous damage, not from the accident that the insurance is covering repairs for. if that's the case then why did my hood work 100% fine before all this? if it wasn't from the accident then i have to believe the damage to the hood latch was from their work. now i have to wait god knows how many more weeks for them to order the parts to get the hood fixed. edit: they also lost my license plate and said they would reimburse me for that cost but i haven't gotten that money yet read more

We took our infinite in to get an estimate. We were surprised to hear that the estimate was lower than we ever imagined. i had wrecked the front end. The bumper was torn off. I really thought we would have to get a new car. I was so happy to hear from Tim that they could fix it, plus touch up on the paint. Tim knew what he was talking about! I bumped into a pole this morning backing out of a parking spot and knocked my front bumper out of place. Took my car to the Volkswagen dealership to get a quote on fixing it and they said I'd need a new whole new bumper. I happened to drive by Harvey's on the way home and decided to stop in for a second opinion. One of the associates took a look at my car and asked if I had 20 minutes to hang out. She fixed my bumper, buffed out the scratches, and did not charge me because it was a such an easy fix. I got in my car and CRIED. Completely turned my day around/ restored my faith in humanity etc...I am blown away by the kindness and will be recommending Harvey's to anyone and everyone who needs a body shop and will be back any time I need repairs because unfortunately, as you could probably tell by this review, I do tend to need those every once in a while ;) read more

I'm sorry but I did not have the greatest experience. After hearing about Harvey's through word of mouth in the HP neighborhood and then reading the reviews on Yelp, I thought this would be the right place to come to. I parked my SUV on the street in front of my house and someone side swiped it and knocked the drivers side mirror and more out. The outer case was fine. I brought my car here last Monday with the quote of $475, then got a call on Tuesday that it would be $750. Fine. Then got a call on Wed that it would be $1,200 cause the motor didn't work. Fine. Then after being away the whole week, I took a cab from the airport and paid for the $1,200 repairs without griping, even though I wasn't thrilled to be paying that much for a side mirror. I went to my car with all my luggage and the car wouldn't unlock or start. I was told it must have meant that my keyfob battery must have died, even though I had no warning light about that before I left. Then I was told that this happens all the time, in fact he delivered a car to someone's house just the other day and replaced their batteries. But of course there was no battery for me. I could go to Walgreens or somewhere to get a battery for my keyfob. I didn't know if I was going to be able to lock or unlock my car again so grabbed all my suits and luggage and hauled it around Target and figured out the rest myself. It was a long day after a long week. I don't really consider this to be the best customer experience either from a price or experience perspective. read more

With two claims, two adjusters and two deductibles, it could have been a total nightmare, but the team here was so on top of it and so communicative it was a total breeze. Quite frankly, this review might have garnered 1, maybe 2 more stars in the recent past. However, a customer service issue that I recently experienced lowered the rating considerably and prompted this review. I took my car in to be fixed by Harvey's roughly 9 months ago. Aside from the usual missed deadlines and near total lack of communication during the process, I didn't have any major complaints (nor praise) for them. One of the issues that was fixed reoccurred and left me stranded in the mountains of Colorado. A call to Harvey's to simply understand their warranty and to ask for a little help in communicating with the current shop was met with a shocking amount of condescension. After a conversation that was testy from the beginning, I was told point-blank to "learn something" about my car and a complete refusal to assist in gathering information from the current body shop. I naively would have expected a business to be a little more accommodating, especially considering it is fixing their original shoddy workmanship. Being left high and dry so soon after having my car fixed would seem to be something they would have a vested interest in fixing. I certainly would not have expected being talked down to in such a direct and aggressive manner. It is more than worth the $900 to pay out of pocket to avoid dealing with that treatment again. Harvey's Paint and Body is a locally owned body shop in Dallas Texas. John the owner answers the phone and he is in the office every day. He was a genuinely friendly face in the automotive repair business where everyone is out to get you. I was getting ripped off by 2 different insurance companies, another body shop, and my lawyer all at the same time. After my accident, John was one person who went above and beyond and actually VOUCHED for me multiple times. I will take my car here again and again. I came here because insurance said the damage on my vehicle was fixable. But their estimate was 1/3 of what it would have actually taken to properly fix the car. John called out my insurance company on their BS. After filing claim after claim and multiple supplements, insurance is giving up and declaring the car a total loss. Without John by my side, I would be driving an unsafe vehicle improperly repaired because insurance wasn't willing to pay a fair price for good work. Go John! You have a loyal, lifelong customer!
